I love you but I have to say this. I gave my ex-husband 24 years of my life and he wasted it. I am now free to do what I want to do. Thank goodness I was able to buy a small house with a small piece of land in 2017 and I’m finally living in it.! I’m in my 60’s in Gregorian years but I feel better than when I was in my 30s. I am connected to the land…I am learning so much I am growing and planting and playing classical music for my fruits and they are growing. I am better than when I was without land and look better and feel better than when i was younger. I dance Salsa and Bomba and am learning so much. When you get connected to The Most High Spirit, Yahuah, and the land … you thrive!❤💯
@@consciouschapters8396 i have less than a 1/4 of an acre, including house, but I have it packed with medicinal plants and food provisions 😂💯… It makes me happy. I just got 4 miniature chickens (quiquiriqui’s) am waiting for 2 egg laying hens…I am definitely a tropical country woman💯❗️
The government will say its their land or a natural reserve and arrest whoever tries to take land. Actually the government is working to maintain order for the rich to keep things as they are.
my daughter used to ask me when she was 5 or 6 "we were born (free) to this earth why do we have to pay in order to have a place to live?". My heart ached.
Wallah...you have revealed the secrets of a happy life with contentment and giving back more than we took from the world....salute your way of thinking Jon Jandai....
Dear Mr. Jon, I have followed your wise words for quite some time. Even those with a little patch of land can, aided with modern (and not-so-modern like aquaponics) technology, and a fair climate, get some extra nutrients for their table. Maybe not living entirely self-reliance, but even a 30% percentage is good. You can always trade or barter whatever fresh produce you don't consume, or pressure can for later.
So many ways to acquire land to grow food on! I’m diving into ways now, “Guerilla Growing” is a great way to start. I have a lot of citrus seedlings that I’m going to plant out soon!
Thank you so much for this really practical topic. I've heard someone in a self-reliance group talked about this with the same your mindset. We don't need to own land because there are so many people out there have more than 1 piece of land and they need someone to take care of it, that's an exist problem of the rich. P/s for beginner: When you wanna go to rent or take care of a new land, don't start with one that far away from community (people, neighbor, market) and infrastructure (road, electricity, water...). An idea of living in the top of mountain, centre of the forest or in a middle of nowhere may sound fancy but in real life, it's not. It's really hard to live so far away from other people, I paid my money for that experience so you don't need to.❤
@@somduttasengupta1738 you just can't jump to the pool and automatically know swim. You need skill that can make money by growing greens and convert any potential plants, beans, fruits, leaves in the land to money. You need to go to learn in the farm first. Don't just leave office job and rent a land without skill and plans, it will destroy you soon. So it's not a problem of easier said than done but to prepare skills for yourself first. You need skill more than your own land. That's what I figure out when I've lived in a permaculture farm for 6 months. By the way, rent is quite cheap when you choose a land in a village, some people may not charge you anything for take care of their free land. It's may take price of 1/10 compare with the amout you pay when you live in the city.
Thank you for imparting this to us so clearly and well, Jon Jandai. My first cousin has been a great role model to me. She returned to her village and resumed paddy, vegetable and fruit cultivation after leaving several decades of corporate career lifestyle behind. The first thing I did when I got a garden is to remove an intense wall hugging invasive creeper from the garden's back wall and section a portion of the garden off to grow vegetables there. It is 4 years later now. I get fresh produce from this vegetable garden. When I step into my garden I am unaware of how the time goes by. I hope to learn more from you 🇮🇳
Hi, I'm your neighbour from Indonesia. As a younger generation, we're almost have no chance to affords a land except a few golden spoon childs, and post-pandemic just made it worse. Rent as low as $70 a year is like a dream for me, I might try bursting my bubble and seeking better opportunity a little bit farther. Time is ticking and statically not having a house at 60 is just ridiculous. Thank you for your video 😊.

Is rent cheap? Don't we need a job for paying the rent? Who will give job?? Easier said than done

Very solid advice. However, the cost of building the most basic home is very different based on where you are in the world.

How do you find a land caretaker position or rental for 60/$70 a year?
What if all the people that are on the streets in the US moved to Thailand to start farming 🤔
Don’t you need a building permit to build a house in Thailand?
