This is truly revolutionary for Lego Speed Champions cars imo! 9 wide worked perfectly for an exact representation of the Tourbillon especially with the taillights. I was most surprised by the spoiler, and I think this is the best Lego Tourbillon design out there!
@@ThrowToTheWolves Thank you so much! Yeah the white and black works great together - reminds me of a panda! I'm waiting for the 2x5 wedge to come out in dark blue, and I will replace the black with dark blue to complement the dark azure.
Talk about pushing limits, usually when you have a good design there wont be any functions, atleast thats how its been for me but time after time you manage to blend form and function! Truely something special
Exactly, I'm glad you appreciate it. I try to maximise both the aesthetic design and functions, and it makes the model more special to me because when I look at it I remember all the struggles I had making it 🤣
Thank you, unfortunately I legally cannot earn money outside my job, even for something like this 😵💫 but I want to encourage people to make their own versions by showing what is possible 🤓
@@Kubadiadyk thank you, but its not talent, just an insane desire to keep making special lego cars 😆 maybe for other people who make mocs of cars, their goal is to make a lego version of that car, but for me, my goal is to see if I can make something new (like a new mechanism) along with making a car! You can see how my building style has developed from my first few videos on cars (praga bohema, laferrari, completely different quality to now)
In my collection I've "Chiron" from RollingBricks and now I wish to have next Bugatti model, your. The most I like is great attention to bodywork and details, what is more 9 wide studs it suits.
@@MrFreeman555 thank you. I won't be making instructions, but feel free to make your own version inspired by my moc. Without the working doors/spoiler and it is not too complex, and you can use the speed champions chassis.
@@emptyexe9908 maybe, right now i have plans to make a koenigsegg cc8s/ccr, but i was thinking of just making it very simple without any mechanisms whatsoever. I loved playing those cars in Test Drive Unlimited. I need to do more research on the One:1 🧐
the body design is really good, however at this scale the wheels are just too small. They make the car look chunky and toyish, rather than being low and sleek like the real car would be. This isn't a problem with just your moc, but its a general issue with 8/9 wide mocs imo. There isn't a wheel or wheel arch piece that's quite the right scale for a car this big. the rear part is absolutely magnificent, though. Same with the front grille, its really really good.
@@thevishyfishythank you 💫 i completely understand your point of view. If you look back at some of my videos, all of my early mocs are strictly 8 wide. I thought there was no way a 9 wide build would look good in person, the wheels are just too damn small! But I built the centenario by thegbrix. And over time, as I see that car in my display, i started thinking: actually, yes the wheels are a bit too small, but the extra details afforded by the 9 width at the rear more than made up for the slight inaccuracy of the small wheels. Then I made the murcielago, and the rest was history. From a strict only 8 wider, i was converted to a 9 wide dude 😆 i still make mocs that are only 8 wide, but i try to pay attention to the real width of the cars. Car widths between 1850-1950 mm i tend to go 8 wide, and above 2000 mm def 9 wide. Whether its 8 to 9 or 9 to 9 depends on the car. Definitely the wheel size is a constraint we have to work with in lego, but I think if you haven't tried it yet I do recommend giving it a shot in real life. Leave the car in your display for some time, and see if the small wheels really bother you or not. Yours truly, from a former 8 wider 🤣
@timelymanner1463 yeah and it's not just the width that matters but really it's the distance from the top of the fender to the top of the wheel, which is too tall with the current wheel/arch parts. Making the car wider only makes this issue worse because you have to make it slightly longer and taller to compensate which makes the wheels seem even smaller. Again, it's not your moc that's the issue it's just the way the Lego pieces are. I think you did basically a perfect job within the limitations of the medium.
you even added a small french Flag 🤣🤣 It look So great!
Of course, so happy I could show its origin, I try to do it on my Bugatti models 🫡

Slick design man congrats ! I wonder how difficult it is to source the dark azur parts.
Surprisingly dark azure wasn't hard to get on bricklink, maybe you're thinking of medium azure? That is REALLY expensive now for those fenders
