@@arnodobler1096 We have enjoyed Rothaus on many visits to Baden-Württemberg, but we have not yet visited the brewery. Another destination we must add to our list. Danke für die Empfehlung!
We visited the brewery in the Black Forest during our last september trip, was nice they also offer tours but we had not planned ahead. My favorite german pils is Tannenzäpfle unfortunately unavailable in Canada, so we drink Fürstenberg which is the only Black Forest beer available here...
We enjoyed your video of Heidelberg as it is one of our favorite cities. Your presentations are always stellar. My first visit to the castle was in 1977 when my mom and dad took me there. We would go there every year to see the annual castle lighting. I will have to check out the snitchel restaurant one of these days. See you in the next video. :).
That’s awesome. You must know Heidelberg very well. It’s a beautiful city, we’ve been a few times and it never gets old. The schnitzel was fantastic! Thanks for joining us!
@@travelingexpats I agree, the city of Heidelberg will never get old for sure. The Schnitzel restaurant is on our list of places to try now:). Thank you for another great video.
Just found your channel and find it very nice. , checked some more videos and heard you love the roman culture. So I can recommend The Villa Borg in Palatine, not far the border Luxemburg and France, for a visit in spring or summer. There you can really feel how the old Romans lived. There are also a lot of ancient roman ruins at that place. Check it out. And on the way back the tree top walk in Orscholz... Greetings from Heidelberg and a happy new year with much more exciting trips in Germany.

@ “I have never enjoyed a view which had such a serene and satisfying charm” he said about the view of Heidelberg from across the river. “The coldest winter ❄️ I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco” 😂 I definitely think he enjoyed his time in Heidelberg more than his time in San Francisco. 😂
Concerning your Kurfürstenkugel. Kurfürst = prince (Fürst) who was on of usually seven members of the electoral college of the holy roman empire (Reich) entitled to elect the Kaiser. Old German "Kur/küren" and English "choice" are cognates. Heidelberg once was the capital of the federal state Palatinate/Pfalz or more precise Kurpfalz as the Prince of the Palatinate was allowed to elect the Kaiser. The last Kurfürst was Karl IV Theodor under whose rule the Alte Brücke was built. He took over the regency in Bavaria in 1771 which led to the unification of Bavaria and Palatina. However the revolutionary storm that arose from the enlightenment in the 17th century and was ignited in France swept away the Kurfürsten and the Reich just a few years later (1806).

Great video! The pharmacy museum looked fascinating and the wine barrel made for a giant 😂. Were they playing music for dance floor on top of it?
