And this, girls and boys, is why the Nepean valley was only recently urbanized. Pretty sure the early settlers might have recognized this area as good pasture not an area suitable for permanent high value infrastructure. The river has a long and regular flood record. It's not a flood, it's the river using all of it's basin without regard to the toys on the ground.

Thanks Vinnie ...Ger B was telling you about the house that got swept away. They actually lost 142 animals that were swept away. It's horrible and my town of Taree is still surrounded by water. We survived our local river rising behind my property but many hours/ days of no sleep. We had no electricity, no phone, as most lines connected to the internet but no power and mobile too is still out. We also had no radio signal so couldn't get updates. Food everywhere is low. Couldn't get out on any roads due to water from our river flooding our village in. Couldn't get to a garage for petrol for cars/generators if you had one. Without warning we were cut off from everything. So much livestock loss as this is a major dairy and beef town. The resilience of those cows washed down stream 15 km plus and washing up on local beaches still alive but frightened brings tears to my eyes. The losses of many animals, too scary to imagine. We received the biggest downfall of record breaking rain where I live. Last I heard over 955m in 2 days on the mountains. Last years fires stripped the mountains of vegetation therefore the rain came hammering down to all the river's and villages below. We are tough and we will rebuild and help each other, yet again. No drought, fire, covid disease or flood will ruin our aussie spirit. Thankyou everyone for the well wishes we really do appreciate it ❤
Win Cha this is at the base of the Blue Mountain's in Western Sydney NSW. I am presuming as Warragamba Dam ( Sydney's Water Supply) was overflowing to a capacity to fill Sydney Harbour 3 times a day I heard on the media thus flooding along the valley's there causing the evacuations. Only there did it flood like this in Sydney, hence why you are reading in comments about it being the government's fault for allowing infrastructure in a flood prone area. Oh plus biggest downfall recorded in 50yrs. It was initially only farming areas year's ago. Up north was hit far worse especially Taree Port Macquarie etc it went from devastating floods to catastrophic terms. Beating over 100yr previous records. The SES so exhausted and caught off guard that the army and airforce are helping. No food, no petrol no nothing could get into these areas. Taree became an island plus townships and villages became islands within it being a river city. Everything was flooded and losses to property and livestock humongous. 😔
Thanks Maupin Maupin we are all helping each other. Ppl herding cows into their house yards on the mid north coast. Those not drowned are being rounded up on beaches after enduring 15 + km flooding river's and being washed up at sea. The Aussie spirit is well and truly alive. We are battling on and ppl who were driving through on the freeway who got caught here on the mid north coast, an extremely badly hit area, are even helping 🙏🤞❤🌹👼we appreciate everyone's kindness. On the worse day here 2 couples were to be married. One sadly loss their house and watched it float down the main river in town here. Plus lost 142 animals ( cows etc ) they didn't get married understandably. The other couple a helicopter owner heard the brides plea and he flew them off their farm to the venue so they could still be married....how kind was the pilot 😁 ....so this is ppl at their best in a crisis 🌹❤

I hope they can be there for you all quicker than they were there for us. The Gulf South of the USA has much experience with flooding like this. My prayers are with each and every soul affected.
Thanks Gina, here in Australia we are very aware of those horrific floods you endured in New Orleans. So bad and so sad your losses. I remember the news footage as if it was yesterday 😥...rest assured our SES...Emergency Services are working tirelessly to help everyone. The Police have even pulled victims from cars and flood water's risking their lives. We at Taree unfortunately live on dairy and beef farms in communities and because we are known as the river city we have ppl isolated everywhere and our whole main town is blocked off and surrounded by water. Thus no food or supplies can come or go. I have faith though that we will be taken care of like they did after last year's devastating fires we endured. I think I heard they might be bringing in the army to help. Sorry services are down so I don't see or hear everything. Anyhow we can only do what's humanly possible. When they built Warragamba Dam in 1960 they talked of 1 in 50 & 1 in 100 year floods. This isn't the 1st major flood since that time yet people still seem shocked & amazed. I was surprised too when my friends on fb told me. There was far more devastating areas than Sydney where these pic's are. Up north on the mid nth coast of New South Wales Australia wasn't devastating floods it's catastrophic. I had to show my American friends videos etc I took on my fb timeline. They were astounded. Anyhow you probably have caught up now from UA-cam. We have just got back our ph and internet as my town was surrounded and inundated with flood water's. We lost houses, horses but also this is primary producing dairy and beef country. Cows washing up on parks, beaches 15km after being taken by river currents. Only the lucky or high area survived. Houses, shops underwater. A steel shipping container lifted, carried and slammed into our main bridge in town. So if you want details hit UA-cam or news sights. I`m so sad about these images taken from the air where really is possible to understand the dimension of the floods. I enjoy so much watching on TV the Century 21- "Love It or List It". I sincerely hope we all can do our very best to help home owners and their properties, including their animals, to recover from their loss and to re-establish normallity as sonn a possible. I believe on solidarity and all the the volunteer support of the great Australian people and just want to offer our help and support from Portugal to whatever becomes needed.

That’s a lot of people and houses that area of land that is under the sea. I couldn’t imagine the amount of water. Makes me wonder if it’s here to stay. Thanks for sharing this video. Makes me wonder and now I have questions
I told a friend four years ago that Sydney would flood and she laughed at me saying what a ridiculous statement!! I truly hope people become more vigilant to the forthcoming devestations coming instead of being complacent!!
Why is Mulgrave to windsor bridge open with cars driving across ts.1 min and new hawesbury bridge under water ts.2 min. why was is not built the same height irrespective of the height of the road Macquarie park to Wilberforce for later road improvement, our great premiere can spend 5 billion on the clarence river bridge and blunder Windsor's hawesbury river bridge.GLADY'S shame Glady's shame
Tomorrow on 24.3.2021 will be clear day can you please record the same areas again? It’s absolutely shocking that the Warragamba dam was at 96.2% capacity just before this rain event started even we all knew for at least 2 weeks prior that this water bomb is coming. People responsible for not letting the dam level down as much as they could in them two weeks prior are now responsible for at least 2-3 extra meters downstream..... and that’s a big difference for lot of lost stock and properties. Thankfully no people has died 🙏🏻 God bless all the affected
Check reports from nswwater for past 3 months, level has been over 90% and above average rain in greater Sydney area each month. They also forecasted in each report that the following months would have above average rainfall.
Even worse than the 2 week warning, we've known for very many years about the dramatically increased rainfall due to La Niña and I remember probably 6 months ago, meteorologists here in Australia warning that this was coming!
@@MrTheMCism That’s right. They could’ve easily drain that dam to 75 or even 50% and that would’ve been a massive difference downstream. Someone responsible should go jail for this.
@@MrCzech78 And if there wasn't a massive rainstorm or if the rainstorm was less than anticipated, should the person who drained the dam prematurely also go prison during the next drought?
Here I'm praying for this to happen since 2017 and my best friend of 36 year's said to me in 2019 in Trussville Alabama in the town house I was rebuilding. he said " may GOD have mercy on our souls" I told him your worthless souls.
Rescue the perishing, care for the dying, Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave; Weep o’er the erring one, lift up the fallen, Tell them of Jesus, the mighty to save. Refrain: Rescue the perishing, care for the dying, Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save. Though they are slighting Him, still He is waiting, Waiting the penitent child to receive; Plead with them earnestly, plead with them gently; He will forgive if they only believe. Down in the human heart, crushed by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness, Chords that were broken will vibrate once more. Rescue the perishing, duty demands it; Strength for thy labor the Lord will provide; Back to the narrow way patiently win them; Tell the poor wand’rer a Savior has died.

"... The world is in travail, and its agitation waxeth day by day. Its face is turned towards waywardness and unbelief. Such shall be its plight, that to disclose it now would not be meet and seemly. Unprecedent situation..... again...✔️😳😰
THESE EVENTS HAVE HAPPENED IN THE VERY SAME AREA MANY TIMES BEFORE BUT NOW THERE IS MUCH MOERE MEDIA COVERAGE AND COUNCILS ALLOW BUILDING IN FLOOD PLAIN AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS YES IT IS DISARSTEROUS BUT MOTHER NATURE IS DOING A RESET NOW THERE ISNT THE FHOTO CHEMICAL VAPOURS IN THE AIR
Can't believe this was not on regular news in U.S. and the poor people trying to save horse's
We have Channel 10, Channel 9, Channel 7, Channel 2 and SBS as main stns. Our morning shows like Good Morning Australia or try your internet TV stations. There's lot's to see and talking too.😉😊
Can’t be in Aussie - Tim Flannery said we never gonna get rain again!
I love a sunburnt country, A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges, Of droughts and flooding rains.
Mother earth is crying because of all the harm we have done to her. What goes around, comes around. So sad for humanity.
hail Mary full of grace the lord is with you blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb jesus holy Mary mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the ours death Amen🙏
I was going to say this a few days ago.Who is in charge here?I dunno mabe it's just me but Australia is great and i don't really see us loosing any war anytime
soon my friends.Peace
Worse part is it’s partly intentional.
Bendiciones para todos Dios los levanté de todo eso y los bendiga...
31:33 Someone should design a giant horse floaty that they can put on all the horses when floods are approaching. There could be a market for that.
The experience would be pretty scary everything is covered in water.
So will any of this end up in the Murray Darling Basin?
I`m so sad about these images taken from the air where really is possible to understand the dimension of the floods. I enjoy so much watching on TV the Century 21- "Love It or List It". I sincerely hope we all can do our very best to help home owners and their properties, including their animals, to recover from their loss and to re-establish normallity as sonn a possible. We are particularly lovers of these beautiful residential areas, and hope to see owners to be able to go back for cleaning purposes and feed the survived animals. I believe on solidarity and all the the volunteer support of the great Australian people and just want to offer our help and support from Portugal to whatever becomes needed.
Truly beautiful words Roy and thankyou from the bottom of my heart..from a farmer far worse hit than Sydney on the mid north coast of New South Wales Australia. We are horse, dairy and beef country here. Stock losses are unimaginable. We are struggling but strong and all are helping and crying together as we pick up the pieces. Your heartfelt kindness is appreciated and from all of us affected here in Oz we sed hugs of gratitude ❤🌹😌🤗
So quiet out there
we ask forgiveness to the lord jesus let's pray together and believe the Lord Jesus amen🙏🙏🙏

Aaahh ... calling out to God when things like this happens...
world can't be forgiven yet. It is due it chastisements because of its sins, the cup is full and overflowing the Lord shall heed not the prayers of a wicked generation, but gather the truly righteous out of it, which is few to behold, for whom truly lives as gospel reveals.
Is the guy on the camera looking for someone. He keeps zooming in for no reason. Just show us the big picture, thanks. The devastation is enough without showing everyone close up.
Boa tarde ☝️👀🙇🙏🙏🙏🙌😳😪😪💜🖤
Why is Mulgrave to windsor bridge open with cars driving across ts.1 min and new hawesbury bridge under water ts.2 min. why was is not built the same height irrespective of the height of the road Macquarie park to Wilberforce for later road improvement, our great premiere can spend 5 billion on the clarence river bridge and blunder Windsor's hawesbury river bridge.GLADY'S shame Glady's shame
Someone didn't do their homework and expect the unexpected 🤦♀️🤷♀️
Good for the garden.
She'll be right.
Thankfully no people has died 🙏🏻
God bless all the affected
Check reports from nswwater for past 3 months, level has been over 90% and above average rain in greater Sydney area each month. They also forecasted in each report that the following months would have above average rainfall.
And didn’t let any water out, they are not responsible for flood mitigation yet they hold the key to the flood gate...
@@MrCzech78
And if there wasn't a massive rainstorm or if the rainstorm was less than anticipated, should the person who drained the dam prematurely also go prison during the next drought?
Waiting to see what is gonna hit over here in california
No more fires we see I hope 🙏🤞❤
Here I'm praying for this to happen since 2017 and my best friend of 36 year's said to me in 2019 in Trussville Alabama in the town house I was rebuilding. he said " may GOD have mercy on our souls" I told him your worthless souls.
That horse!!!!!!!!!!!!!
heartbreaking, absolutely heartbreaking
they gave us warnings, there was time to evacuate
Wow, terrible storm

Rescue the perishing, care for the dying,
Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave;
Weep o’er the erring one, lift up the fallen,
Tell them of Jesus, the mighty to save.
Refrain:
Rescue the perishing, care for the dying,
Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save.
Though they are slighting Him, still He is waiting,
Waiting the penitent child to receive;
Plead with them earnestly, plead with them gently;
He will forgive if they only believe.
Down in the human heart, crushed by the tempter,
Feelings lie buried that grace can restore;
Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness,
Chords that were broken will vibrate once more.
Rescue the perishing, duty demands it;
Strength for thy labor the Lord will provide;
Back to the narrow way patiently win them;
Tell the poor wand’rer a Savior has died.
Sad!
I think this is the jugement of The Most High YAHAWAH ! remember the massacre of the Aboriginal indiginous Australia? and the Australia Slave Trade "Blackbirding"?

Does anyone know if the flood waters have breached the Emu Plains Woman's Correctional Centre as yet?
Why you asking bro? Feeling a little thirsty?

Yes - what about the prisons🏛️🏢🏢 and humane societies🏘️🏩 across the continent ? - the nursing homes 🏨🏫 and hospitals 🏥 🏨 ? - the schools ? 🏢- housing developments🏘️🏘️🏘️ - the factories ? - 🏭🏯and any nuke plants ? 🏭🏭- and the zoos ? .. just my humble opinion - 🤨 .. all my comments contained here ... the entire continent seems to be in danger of being taken over by the ocean .😱.😟☹️🤔.😭 .. I Strongly suggest all persons who can do so - get out of the coastal areas now while you still can -maybe even get off the continent and just leave - permanently .. rebuild elsewhere ..start again somewhere else... just too bad .. for all that remain 🍀🍀🍀...Best Of Luck to you persons deciding to stay...🌻🌻🌻💌❤️ Prayers for all ❤️.🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏👍👍🤞🖖✌️💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀With Love ❤️🙏🙄🙁💪😍🙂from the USA🇺🇸

May borrow some helicopter from the army and air lift those huge animals? They are filling with great fear! Heaven Helps them.
The lights are going out.
I guess you get that if you want to live on flood plains 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
that's so helpful
The flood has been extensive
It is real tragedy! Awful! Millions and millions were spent on some "deadly virus", which is nothing compared with THIS. The idea of deadly virus was wildly promoted, and people somehow forgot what the real disaster means.
God bless all of those people.

Ha !so , now we got two syd harbours. 😎 ,,,, hhmmmm 🤔🙄 white fellas , ......
Instead of be sorry just enrol for emergency volunteers NOW
If u r out of Australia just donate to Red Cross
Be active
Please be aware the bush fire victims are still waiting for money collected by the red cross for the bush fires to be dispersed for the most part,
The amount collected runs into many millions
Red cross will keep the money
Ok, give money to local charities
Maybe , would be faster
I mean just we do something
I myself too
We work together
Cheers

"... The world is in travail, and its agitation waxeth day by day. Its face is turned towards waywardness and unbelief. Such shall be its plight, that to disclose it now would not be meet and seemly. Its perversity will long continue. And when the appointed hour is come, there shall suddenly appear that which shall cause the limbs of mankind to quake. Then, and only then, will the Divine Standard be unfurled, and the Nightingale of Paradise warble its melody."
