Glad to hear it compares to batch #007, one of my favorites. We seem to run about 6 months behind getting new batches, looking forward to finding it.
Jimidrammer hope you get yourself a bottle. Sounds like it’s a perfect match for you!
Thanks. Great review. Love Laphroaig 10 CS. Got one from the distillery and brought home to Sweden.
Oh ,man! That's so cool! Enjoy that special dram.
Just picked up a bottle. Been looking for it for a while so im waiting til thanxgiving to crack it open. Thanks for letting me know what to ecpect. Cheers!
Hope you enjoy it! It will be a treat for sure.
I’ve been looking for batch 11, currently we have batch 10 in circulation... I’ve had bottles of 006/007/008/009/010 to me, the 007 was my favorite... this is a monster of a whisky in every way. Really good review, cheers.
Cheers! I loved 007 too. This one is closer to that one in style than the 010 is, so I think you'll enjoy the 011 a lot.
Rabbit in Red Whisky Reviews I’m worn out on the 010, it’s all that’s been around for the last 6 months. These are like Lagavulin 12, normally enough difference to make every bottling worthwhile.
@@topshelfwhisky agree 100% I stocked up on 010 because it was so available and I am all but burned out on it, too. Feels like it took forever for this 011 to finally hit the shelves.
Interesting you found it close to the 007 - i have that open now and love it. Maybe will have to find a 011. I looked back in my pics and i have only had 005/006/007 - then i stopped buying them. 🤷🏻♂️ cheers!
@@nredman I don't think they are getting better so I envy your collection. Cheers
Also, I’ve been told by people in Germany that this Laphroaig is colored. I believe that information has to be shared in that country.
That's disappointing. I just don't get it.
Rabbit in Red Whisky Reviews don’t take it as fact but I tend to assume it’s accurate and based on the color.
@@topshelfwhisky Agreed, plus I've noticed that when Lahproaig does not chill filter (like with the Triple Wood) the state so on the tube, so I assume if it was natural color they would say as much.
Rabbit in Red Whisky Reviews agreed, today that’s something that would be disclosed. I just assume if it’s not stated, it has color added.
John Campbell recently confirmed on his podcast in March (you can view on their website) that CS is non chill filtered and natural color along with anything else they produce that’s 48% and greater, he made sure to mention it multiple times, seems to be some confusion on the internet, especially coming out of Germany, but this news cane from the best source available.
Great review I certainly need this!
Pete Stains DO IT! You will be disappointed. Can’t go wrong with Laphroaig 10 CS!
I love Batch 10, looking forward to getting my hands on this one!
Batch 10 was amazing, and I think this is a winner, too! Slainte!
One of the most sought after Scotch's in Canada as it has never been available in this country
peter white that’s a crime :
@@MaltMuserWhisky It most certainly is! I'm going Stateside next week. This one will definitely be in my sights if I hit a Total Wine in my travels...
@@foodquig Yeah, you'll love this one.
Great review! Laphroaig does not add colourant to their cask strength releases.
Great to know! I wish they would say so on the bottle but good news is good news!
@@MaltMuserWhisky Distillers like Laphroaig and Aberlour that are known for adding colourant to some of their releases will never state "no colour added" on their cask strength releases as that would by default admit colourant has been added to all other releases not stating as such. They would rather keep their consumers in the dark than admit such shenanigans.
@@VaryingViewpoint Yeah it's really annoying. I do think Laphroaig does add language about non chill-filteration on the Triple Wood, but I never see anything about Natural Color on their bottles.
Does it say on the bottle or tube somewhere the batch number?
Hey! Yep, they post both the batch number and month it was bottled on the tube and bottle, on the front next to the "10."
