Donkey shite pal, much appreciated. Yep agreed , best ever,, and it was an honour spending time with many of the cast crew at the 40th Anniversary after show party 11th may 2024 , . Unfortunately strict instructions from Jimmy nail meant no mobile filming was allowed .. best of it was , HE never even went to it. Sadly everyone opinion of Jimmy nail seems to be correct. He is not like Oz.
Correct.... and iv been thru there a few times but the location has changed so much over the years that it's pointless stopping for a location picture. Not even the road signs match up cos the road name changed from a428 to the a421... but its nice giving the area a little nod as we drive thru. The nearest notable series 1 location from there is the fishing lakes scene that was filmed a few miles furthee south on the a1 at Oford Cluny... Directions from the A1 says "The Ofords".. follow that and it's about 1 mile off the a1. ... just thought I'd say .
@@daniellancaster4419 no worries buddy.. yes it's all very local to me.(Huntingdon). biked as a kid to both these places and absolutely love Auf Wiedersehen Pet 👌
Brilliant job mate, awesome video. You’ve covered some distance there mate. I’ve just finished watching the whole 5 seasons and your video has made me want to start all over again 😅❤
Donkey shite pal,, much appreciated... thank you for kind words. I love going to the locations and sharing my travels . Glad you liked it. If you've not seen my others check out the Thornely Manor Front Door video ... that's 1 of my favourites. And keep Awp alive . I think we've all got those lines and quotes etched on us brain. .... dearest Brenda...
Brill work sir! Someone as dedicated as you to go the lengths of finding these locations of this legendary amazing programme... would love to visit thornley manor, which i know you've done as i saw the vid
@slw0599 😁😁.. donkey shite pal,, much appreciated. Bit of fun innit. It's a hobby that I pursue with great diligence and dedication...as well as skirt. Yeah it was a pinnacle of a blokes career visiting Thornely manor,, and im even more made up that I acquired the front door used in the filming. I'm guessing you've seen my UA-cam video on that 1. 😁👍😁👍
Donkey shite pal 👍.... sadly this is my last 1. Unless I'm lucky enough to find myself going international, this is me done for UK locations. And of course if I happen to cross paths with cast and crew I could put something together. .. but until the next point of interest,,, ta ra for a bit
Great video really enjoyed it, but where did you get the idea that Coombe Road Bushey, Imperial China restaurant Watford and St James church Bushey are all in North London? They're not they are in the county of Hertfordshire & absolutely nothing to do with North London. I know as I was born in Watford lived & worked in Bushey, and my dad & Grandad are buried in St James church yard.
Donkey shite pal 👍 As for the London thing,, as I'm from the North East, anything south of Watford Gap to me is London,, altho I'd consider anything on the inside of the m25 something to do with London,,, obviously not now that you've enlightened me . But you have to agree , Watford, Bushey are all within spitting distance of the ULEZ, which is payable to Transport For London. You can see my confusion. Its ok, just blame the fact I'm from Yorkshire,,, but we are not all flat caps and whippets.
I agree with you chief as Wayne might say, but it's quite irritating when we often get lumped in with London even Geri Halliwell in a documentary about her life suddenly forgot she came from Hertfordshire and blurted out "I'm Geri from Watford in North London?" Wtf? Even the Harry Potter studios are at it by wrongly saying they are in London I guess to attract more people to visit. I also know your part of the world fairly well I realise its not all flat caps and whippets as my Nana was born in Stockton and lived in Thornaby and my uncle & aunt and cousins still live in Redcar where we would spend many a holiday up there exploring Cleveland and Northumberland etc. I think its another reason why I loved Auf Wiedersehen Pet so much as I can relate to both parts of the country and the characters especially Wayne being from down here, and Dennis, Oz and Neville with my family up in the North East. Keep up the great work with the videos really enjoy them!👍
@PaulA-sy1xl .... ahh yes, strange part of the world, theyre not geordies right .... certainly not ,,, smoggies.. phew,,, I'm glad we got that sorted , I'm bursting for a leak. And no offence intended squire,, donkey shite once again, much appreciated 👍
Iv done a couple ... 1 is a look around while it was being renovated in 2017, and the other is how I acquired the front door from Thornely manor which was a purpose made prop for awp ua-cam.com/video/TX9RM9qyw18/v-deo.htmlsi=k7SECTmpN1kNVnEO ua-cam.com/video/Q9f3YGTruyo/v-deo.htmlsi=MuUdaB3G_b0ZTO7E
Yes. That IS one way of looking I suppose but you could also argue that Series 3 and 4( and the specials of course) are more "Auf Wiedershen " are quite enjoyable and a lot better than any of the shite that's currently on telly. But I'm not expecting you to agree.
Brilliant Job , Thanks so much for sharing
Fantastic job mate!! Brought back loads of memories from my childhood! Well done from Wales 🏴

Nice one 👍.. the intro scene with Barry's broken down motorbike was on the southbound A1 At the black cat roundabout, nr st Neots..

Just watching Friday Night Dinner and noticed that the Chinese Restaurant pops up in Series 3 Episode 5 (The Piano)
Awww nice 1. It's great when locations are used for multiple shows . Excellent stuff 👏🏻
The fishing scene on series 1 was filmed in Peterborough! no wonder Colin wanted a lift for being a deserter
