Hearing the Ghost Stories Dub was enough to convince me to buy the Ghost Stories DVD so that I can preserve it for future generations. Because it's so politically incorrect that I feel it probably has very little chance of a re-release. Also it's just rather entertaining to hear a script that wacky & ballsy actually be played out by real people.
What bothers me even more is that it's almost impossible to find a Rebuild bluray collection with all 4 movies (if there even is one), at this point it's just really annoying
I watched Evangelion 1.11 back when Love Film sent me the wrong DVD. It seems fitting that after all these years it's Amazon Prime Video that brings me the final chapter after 10+ years. This has been one of the best administation mistakes I've experienced. Thank you Love Film for getting things wrong all those years ago :D

You should've said the reason the Evangelions can defeat angels is because they're angels themselves and the reason the kids can pilot them is because just like Shinji's mother, their soul is the control system of the Eva's.

So if I am to understand correctly, after the original 26 episode series and End of Evangelion movie, 4 "rebuild" movies were released and that's it, right? There are no other series that have been released (by series I mean: (A) an actual sequel to (original)EVA (B) a re-animation/remake of EVA (C) a whole new story that kind of has some ties to EVA, or (D) a reboot of EVA), just movies? Also is it called "Rebuild" because Hideaki Anno is rebuilding the Evangelion Franchise/story or because in the Rebuild movies, the characters are rebuilding their world after third impact? I am confused and scared please help me.
After End of Eva, there is nothing else except for the 4 rebuild movies that are pretty much a remake of the original series that diverges from the original anime.

There have been SO many reissues of this that I"m completely lost. First was the anime series, followed by a movie, then another movie, then another movie. I've got to do some research into what to watch, and in what order, to make sense of it all.

That's the original Evangelion series. @AnonimZim the Rebuild of evangelion is a reboot/sequel (because there's a possibility it starts right after the series ends, as a new reality) where they first follow the show's story, but then gradually branch off and make their own thing. The idea is that the original Eva is fuelled by Hideaki Anno's depression, while the Rebuilds are fuelled by his later recovery and revival, ala his "rebuild'. Also, the original is emotionally raw and powerfully hard hitting, while the rebuilds are more.. .eye-candy. In my opinion, lol. Haven't watched the final movie yet tho.
