  • Learn how to make wool balls from wool yarn that make great cat toys, garland, decoration or even dryer balls. You will need 100% wool yarn, bamboo sushi mat, towel, and no-rinse wool soap, hot water, mug, mesh laundry bag, and a clothes dryer. This uses the wet felt method and will not create cracks that other methods can. It's super simple and fun project for anyone.

Thanks for sharing your technique for making perfect felt balls. 😃 I’d like to make a few for cat toys. I am wondering if the Lavender and Citrus fragrance of your wool soap might be a little off putting for some kitties? Of course, the catnip smell probably helps a lot with most mature cats at least. I’m wondering if when you put the mostly finished wool balls in the dryer with some old towels or jeans, do they need to actually be wet too to help with the felting process or is it okay if the old jeans / towels are dry? 🧐
