Watching these early scenes makes me realize why i like usopp so much, he has no powers or the same training but he still shows his bravery
I love Usopp so much, I literally don’t understand why people hate him so much. sure he’s weaker than the rest of the crew but his goal is set at a standard of which he can be proud of and where he thinks he’ll be the best version of himself.
The fear in Arlongs eyes from the deadly scar on Zoros chest and that he is still that strong while other people would be dead with a body like Zoros at that point is one of the best moments in that arc showing how strong Zoro would be if he would not be handicaped.

And Yes Zoro and Luffys Rescues can be AN ARC ITSELF😂
Usopp is really the only member of the Straw Hat Pirates that does not have a Devil Fruit (Luffy) or trained to be freakishly strong (Zoro & Sanji).
Usopp is just a normal guy trying to find his courage to become strong and tanking damage like a boss.
As much damage as he takes and recovers from you'd think Usopp had a DF.

All subs are "wrong,", since you can't translate anything without loosing something. Especially when talking about English, which strips off barebones and simplifies any meaning of a high context language like Japanese for example. JP and EN are like most polar opposite languages out there. I really don't envy people who do jp media localizations for a living.
So regardless of the source of the subs the dialogue already went through a grinder.
The only "not wrong" way to consume one piece (or any jp product basically) would be just learning Japanese and watching it raw, or with Japanese subs.
