High Claire, what a joy to come across your video. I grew up in the area , my dad was a local GP when home visit were a norm, I often accompanied him ,Christmas was just magical. Thanks

Right up my street, love this vid! Thankyou 🫶 glad you got the snow. Don't think I've been @ Christmas. My 4yr old walked up mam tor, this year. (he did well) thanks for the santa bit, if we go. Loving your Christmas jolly vids. That room you stayed in was lovely! Jen x
We were there for the Christmas light switch on this year (2024) - loved it! We visit often as we live in North Nottinghamshire and we love it there for the walks, pubs and crystal shops! 😍 Thankyou for this video insight - really well put together.
Hi Caroline, thanks for watching (and commenting) I can understand why you keep returning, I bet the light switch on was brilliant! So pleased you enjoyed the video 😊
Hi claire, thank you for sharing this beautiful place .I come from Derbyshire and shamefully have never been .So after watching this video with hubby were definitely going to look this year but next year were booking a room .So thank you for this gem x
Your channel is so enjoyable to watch, and I admire how well you present your ideas. I especially like the way you delve into each topic with clarity and depth.
I am lucky to live and work in Hope Valley and Castleton is well worth a visit. Unfortunately, it attracts visitors all year round and parking can be a problem, even midweek, so go early! Don't leave without sampling the wonderful Peveril Bakery's tasty offerings.
Hi there, thank you so much for watching the video - what a wonderful place to live and work. Thanks for the tips too - I did pick up a couple of Christmas prezzies from the bakery but haven't yet sampled their fresh goods! Will do next time 😋
I´ve been going there since the 50s. It really hasn´t changed much over the years. It is said that the name Blue John stems from the French for blue and yellow - bleu jaune.
Hi Dawn, thanks for watching - and thanks for the feedback, I'll try to avoid using music where there's singing in the background in future - I guess you're right, it can be quite distracting 😕 have a merry christmas xx
