Bane's moves are very devastating, sadly all of that was payed with slow movements
His moves aren’t super slow if you know what you’re doing with him. Also he has the added armour to his attacks to counteract zoning or wake-up attacks.
I remember a comic where Bane was fighting Croc in the sewer....I think it was a knightfall comic.
