Overall, it looks like an excellent hand truck. As someone who moves appliances all day, I don't see any use whatsoever for the breakback bar. ??? perhaps you could lower the price a little it you got rid of something so useless. What makes or breaks an appliance truck is stairs and maneuverability. the 4 wheel thing is nice, but useless over rough terrain. Think big wheel attachment and making the stair glide as smooth as possible. I used Magliner dolleys for years, and they really are great! they are very durable and take an unreal amount of abuse during daily use. You people make great products that make my life easier. You earned my loyalty years ago. If anyone ever creates the perfect appliance truck, I think it will be you. I'm sure a lot of people who actually work for a living would like to say: THANK YOU!

As for the break back bar, it is useful for keep the dolly in place when the user is breaking back a heavy load, or moving it to the upright position. It keeps the main wheels in place so they're not trying to move forward or backward when trying to tilt the load. We do offer models without the 4th wheel attachment/break back bar if that is preferred.
