Eyeing this myself. Bought a smaller husky many years ago and it’s served me well but I’ve outgrown it and have things all over the place that won’t fit. I love the pull out desk board with the storage underneath. You can even tape things to underneath the board. Maybe a list of what’s in that compartment. I’m getting old and I forget what I have and where I put it. Lol. Been keeping lists in my phone to remember what is where. It’s helped a lot. EDIT…I don’t think the current model of this comes with the desk top on the drawer. It’s not listed in the description or seen in the pics on the HD site. Not a deal breaker but it’s nice to have.
I modified mine by removing that giant HUSKY logo panel under the lid. I took the magnet panel on the back wall off and stuck it to the underside of the lid in place of the metal husky panel I removed.
Just picked up the same box from Home Depot today, deal was too good to pass up. Guess only time will tell to see how it holds up. Also I am slightly disappointed mine did not come with a built in light like yours did, not a big deal though as I can just get a light for it
I was gunna buy one of these but I bought the kind you had before instead for the counter space table top and the backing that can hang tools on. Home Depot special either box $598.00
Husky didn't change anything with the double drawer slides. You were comparing a Husky Standard Duty (61") with a Husky Heavy Duty (52"). You went to a higher tier toolbox. Your older Husky box is also a Standard Duty. This is like comparing a Yukon toolbox with a US General. I doubt a Yukon box would hold up to professional automotive use either. Husky also has a Professional Duty line, but I haven't seen those in stores and those are getting into Icon prices.
thanks for this tour/ Im looking at the same box. How well is the box holding up so far? And do you have any issues with too much weight in that large drawer? I really like the concept of that pull out shelf, but wonder if im giving up drawer space for that convenience.
Awesome box! Just had a question for you. I have basically the same box but the previous model where the middle large drawer doesn't have the double slides. Do you think it would be possible for me to add slides to it to make it stronger?
I've looked into this as I have the previous gen box with the single slides and they died in a year. Need doubles. There is room for two, I haven't fixed it yet.
I don't know why tool guys always say "picked up" instead of bought. Is it cause everybody's paying in advance and picking up later, or is it to mitigate the detriment to their bank account?
@blah9664 At least where I live, people don't usually say "pick up" when they say they bought something. But for some reason, whenever I watch a video about tools, people gravitate towards the term "picked up." And "common sense" isn't really a driving factor in language.
I just purchased this. No led light, no wood tray, and only one outlet strip these days. Still very happy with it

What an amazing video. Husky should hire you as a mechanic sales/tech. Thanks
I just saw this at HD and fell in love. It was hard not to pick it up then. I will have it soon :)
I’m outgrowing my 11 drawer 27” roll away, I don’t think I’m quite there yet for the 52. This tool chest looks awesome. Nice set up!
Good to see you back! Nice, well thought out selection of tools. Husky has definitely upped the bar.

I like that little toolbox on top. I'm looking to get this Husky box though.

Looks like you also got a new shop.

I didn't realizes Husky had different tiers. thanks for the info!
How’d you make that drawer top? I bought mine 5 years ago and would desperately want this
Love mine!
Nice setup sir! Which one do you like more the new husky or the older one??
honestly I kinda like my old one better
Ive been eying that box for a while now my question is how do you feel it holding up in the years to come like the drawers and slides
Its not going to last as long as a Snap-on type box but I think you'll get your moneys worth!
👉WE HAVE ONE OF THOSE IN THE SHOP, NICE BOX THO😎‼️

Yeah you do lose a little bit of drawer space but its not too bad. The box is holding up very well, Its a sold box for a $1000 bucks!
Can I ask why you took the secondary fan off? I’m thinking of installing one on my Nissan Frontier. Great video. 👍🏼
I only reason I took it out is because I'm going to remove the fan clutch and run E-fans.

@@spevakdesigns Awesome, when you do fix it let me know how you go about doing it!
Do I need to ground this toolbox?
I would
I’ve been interested in this box for a while. Did you pick it up directly from the store or have it shipped to you?
Yeah I picked it up directly from the store.
Its on sale for 799
I just my black Frida $798

Its just slang for I bought something new.
Lol in what world do you live. Its common sense that it means to buy/purchase/aquire ect.
