Thanks for this tour of Reading Abbey Henry, although we have lived just south of Reading for 35 years, it is not a place that we have visited. I have, also, only been in Reading Museum once with the replica of the Bayeux Tapestry
Thank you for watching! I agree, its quite unusual to find a ruined abbey in an urban setting. Makes a change but I preferer a ruined abbey in the countryside.
Makes u wonder just how over hundreds of years the Abbey fell into ruins?! Maybe the war time or just wear n tear over the years has destroyed the once glorious building that once stood proud in its time! Shame it hadn't been looked after like St Paul's cathedral and other similar historical buildings!
Caversham I meant not coverage! Typo! Lol
No worries, thanks for watching.
Great video, nice to see what is left of the abbey!
Thank you for joining me!
Thanks for the trip around the Abbey this place is still grand. Love to be there at night when completely dark and spooky!!😎🐓🐓🐓🐓🇬🇧🇺🇦
Thank you for joining me! I've been to some abbeys at night but not this one.
So many buildings we have lost, but, never fear, Henry is here to reveal their history!
Thank you very much!

You're welcome! Thank you for joining me! I've not yet visited Reading Museum but I'd like to in the future.
Great video.
I find it such a pity when they build right next to these ancient monument. Atleast they didn’t pull it all down 👍

Thank you for joining me. Most ruined abbeys are because of King Henry VIII.
I would like to go to Reading Abbey. I have been to Reading once.
Well worth a visit and easy to get to.
