If you can manage to divide and take out a rooted pup from the mother plant you can put it in a terrarium where it will adapt to the conditions and grow at a slower pace. You will however need to conduct periodic maintenance once in 3-6 months depending on the growth. A large sized terrarium is better if you want reduce the frequency of maintenance.
Ferns do not grow from cuttings in a terra in my experience. You need to use rooted plants. Use smaller plants and they will adapt and grow slow. However maintenance will be needed at some point.

Thank you. Yes one of the ferns shown in the video is a native wild fern. I have used these ferns in my earlier native built videos.
