Drew I don’t install many panic devices mostly just maintaining them. But when I do have to install a new one get intimidated by them. Watching your videos and listening to your commentary has helped me immensely, the tone of your voice is very calming so when I do an install I think back to that and it seems to make the install much easier. Thank you for the videos.
Ya it’s cool to get to share these videos with guys who are more on the maintenance side, I’m only on the install side so there’s lots of things I don’t see doing new installs all the time. But I’m really glad the vids have been helpful and I really appreciate the support and sharing the channel. Thank u 😎
Just did some Chinese off brand of these last week. Pain in the ass, but we figured it out at the end. Been installing in SoCal for 4 years and I still learn a lot from your vids. It’s interesting how some people have their own way of doing the same job. I’d like to see your approach to punch and dimple frames with concrete anchors. Thanks man!
Thanks so much for checking out the channel. Ya for sure I work with some very talented and experienced installers and we all do it a little differently. Cool to see how others do it and pick and choose techniques you want to use. I actually just did a few punch and dimples so that might be my next video. It’s on the way 😎
Love it brother!! Thank you for sharing with us I watch every single video you post no matter what you’re installing lol. Did you have to mortise out that “pocket” on the top of the door for the for you “flush bolt” to sit in or did it come prepped and you just had to drill your holes?
Wow that’s awesome man. Thanks so much! Most of the time those pockets all come prepped from the factory when they make the doors. Thanks so much for the support 😎 I love doing this kind of work.
Man don’t come across those too often but will record next time for sure. Most of my installs of EPTs come already prepped in the doors and frame so was there something in particular that was giving you a problem? Thanks for your support 😎
@ they are usually ordered per the hardware that’s going to go on them especially for concealed vertical rod. Some types of hardware can mount to doors without any special prep but those style panics need that special prep.

Nice job! I haven't installed cvr on wooden doors yet, but I also enjoy installing them
Ya man love this kind of work. Thanks for checking it out 😎

Great video man!
Thanks so much. Appreciate the support 😎
Hey man what’s up can you do an ept10 video

@@drewinstallshardware no issues just new to installing them and looking to see how you would do it
Would love to see how you handle that ingenious (sarcasm) Von Duprin top latch
Does the door come hollow on that side or you have to drill it out and make room for the vertical rods?
Yes the door already comes hollowed out by the manufacture. 😎 thanks for checking out the video!
@drewinstallshardware every commercial door comes hollowed out? Or only specific ones? And thanks again for the detailed videos and info you provide!

@@drewinstallshardware thanks again drew!
Where are you based out of??
I’m in Northern CA but it could be Anywhere, USA. We are all installing most of the same kind of hardware. 😎
