Nice commentary while installing, makes it entertaining to watch and follow along with each step. as an ex door installer I like to watch your videos , now I am a salesperson in the commercial door industry. still working with doors & hardware everyday just not on the field anymore but i sure do miss it!
you are the Best Drew , i will love to see if you can install a Panic device on a door that is not have holes on the door using a jig for a 99 von duprin with outside trim .
I noticed you wear thick gloves, but have a short sleeve shirt?? Are your hands always cold? Is it a safety requirement ? I am asking because those gloves are so dangerous to wear when using keyless chuck drills,I ha e seen guys wrapping their fingers around drill bits or worse taps as the snag the fabric. Again you have a big following, maybe you might make tool safety part of your teaching ? Please be careful. I have been on many Mortenson Const. jobs on bases, they require gloves while working, but we got to just keep them nearby when the safety officers came out ,then we put them on but laid low as you can not even grab small cover screws etc...
You’re absolutely right! To be honest when I record I have the gloves on because my hands are pretty scarred up and ugly and always have cuts and stuff so when focusing the camera on my hands want them hidden. 😆 but yes anytime there’s moving tools or blades gloves can actually be a safety hazard. I’m not sure that many people know that. Thank u! As far as safety and stuff, I am still just an employee of a company so there is a limit to how much stuff I can address. Right now I’m focusing on documenting my installs and hopefully helping others and also still performing well for my company. Thanks so much for the support and sharing your experience with everyone 😎

Thanks Drew, FWIW; We like to use the drill/tap combination instead of drilling then tapping
Believe it or not I’ve never tried one of those. I will have to one of these days. Appreciate the support 😎

Hi boss,
I wonder if there is any fresh installation from scratch?
The doors come partially prepped so it’s only rarely that I will have to try to prep from scratch. Thanks for checking out the channel 😎
