I love to watch you work. It was interesting to see how you created the sailboat. I particularly appreciate that you always say what colours you could use. Thanks again.
This is the only painting I've been happy with in my first 12 months of doing any art so thank you, obviously not quite your quality but little improvements overtime helps me carry on
Thanks for quick reply I use clear water between stages May water and colour proportion is wrong I am not a ptoffetional artist so using some old tubes about 3/4 yrs old I will try with few new tubes I am always appreciate you for sending prompt advice You are the one and only who reply massages Thanks once again
Lovely painting and tutorial. I have followed many of your tutorials and at last with this one I have painted something quite passable indeed. Thank you.
Thank you very much for this demonstration Karen - It's lovely. You are the first artist I have heard who stresses the importance of using creamier paint on top of wet to avoid it all dissipating and mixing together. That's something that I need to practice. Just subscribed to your channel
Thankyou for this tutorial! It helped me to loosen up. Being a beginner, and due to my nature, I overwork my paintings. I appreciate your teaching and different techniques Karen!😊

A really beautiful painting and you make it sound so easy!!! I absolutely love your tutorials, nice clear explanations of everything you are doing, and why. I particularly like the way you give ratios of each colour when mixing, very helpful. I am definitely becoming a patron at the beginning of June.
Hi Karen, I finally joined the patreon sight. So exciting!!! My biggest problem was the sail boat, believe it or not. I didn't have an eradicator brush, so I used a regular brush. I just couldn't get all the green off, so the sail ended up in a dirty green. I am thinking of using white paint when the sail is dry. Your tutorial was so much fun. Thank you.
Hi Margie, so pleased you enjoyed this one. That was a great idea to use some white. I hope you enjoy the Patreon membership and don't forget you can search for any of my Patreon tutorials at my website: www.karenriceart.com

I enjoyed watching and learning , so much wonderful techniques. Your voice is so reassuring , soft and positive. I wonder if we follow your advice /technique and ideas can we sign the painting as ours or are there legal issues involved ?
Yes you can sign it as your own work. If you want to sell your work that you create from my tutorials I would be grateful if you would credit me on the back of the painting and my UA-cam channel if you post your painting on social media. Happy painting 😊🎨
Beautiful! So I guess you waited until your painting was completely dry before you removed the bristle? I’ve had that happen to me and tried to remove it immediately, only to make marks that I didn’t want😢
I really want to try this Karen, am a beginner so need to see the colours you used. But I can’t see where to find the “description below” that you mention. Thank you for your great tutorials..
Thank you so much, Yvonne. You can find a list of the colours and materials in the description below. Just click show more which is directly below the video. Hope this is helpful :-)
I am apparently not even a "beginner" as this moved way too fast for me! I slowed it down but still didn't really get how to get the different colour gradients and washes. You produced a lovely painting; I made a very fast, stressful mess! 😂
It’s Loxley heavy metal palette sold by Ken Bromley Art Supplies which you can purchase through this affiliated link: www.artsupplies.co.uk?referralCode=T2XH2
How do I go beyond a subscriber? I can’t find a place to become a student on my phone or iPad. You say look in description but I don’t see description. Sandy

Love this but that hair from the paint brush was driving me crazy.
I resisted removing it until my painting was dry. Removing brush hairs from wet paintings can be very tricky! Always best to remove when dry 😊
I am going to paint that on my 18x24" watercolor paper and add birds in the sky
Great idea!
Paint tubes. Sorry typo
