The fact that he can come back 35+ years later with even STRONGER vocals than the original 80's version? Fucking EPIC.
They didnt have autotune back then...
" even STRONGER vocals"
That's positive ageism what you are saying.
fact YEAH!
its the same dudes ??
Yeah very impressed with this version!
How can he sound even better almost 40 years later?? So good!
Outstanding
Really!!

Too much talent

This song proves, once again, that the 80’s was the best decade in music. This is the best definition of the word “timeless”.
80's AND 70's
Out of many One Okay😀
Sorry!! 60_ 70- 80 , IN 1960 began the Great British Invasion, 1970 Disco Music, 1980 the golden epoch! We may choose whatever we want to hear!
1400’s were pretty knarly, especially with the whacked out lute solo’s.
50 60 70 and 80s and that includes the disco era.
thank you all. I am so so happy. beautiful comments. Nick vE
Nick - Really, thank you so much for this song. Still gives me goosebumps after all these years. I’m 53 nearly! Cracking version. 👌
Your voice is better than ever. Amazing. Love from Greece ❤️
This song was the last throws of the 80s, the peak before it all slipped away
I love your music I feel good I love us!!!!! From Spain ...Barcelona....Castelldefels
Best song ever about making love. Period. No contest.
Thank you so much for this tune, one of my favourite songs ever❤
Greetings from Switzerland.
I was a Teenager when this came out. I'm over 50 now but still listen to the 80s. oldies goldies
We're back in 2024. 80's never die❤
there are not many of these songs that sound better today than when they were released! Great production!
The same for the Spandau Ballet-songs on "Once More". These new versions are much better!
I still like his youth voice. The instruments sound as good. But pretty nice for a reproduction.
Yes you are Wright! Here we can see Nick singing much better than 1987 although that version is great, this one he is in his sixties more or less and sings extraordinary! And has a good shape
It's a good version, nice new elements that fit now - but this really needed the original to make the breaktrough. With these adds it would not have made it at 80's, at least in my opinion.
His voice sucks in this.
Wow. His voice didn't fade.
IKR...amazing!
Well this is studio recorded so it's definitely changed, now maybe yes he can actually still sing well but an example, look at scorpions live 2017 (I think it's 2017)
I think he sounds better
Check out the live performance from 2007, he sings this song acapella - his voice is amazing.
Just like a Old Whisky, the older more taste 👌
Amazing ! Bring back the 80´s.The world needs it !

They made it possible to improve on the original, which was already perfect
No.
Every 80s and 90s song sounds better when accompanied by an orchestral arrangement.
@@ukrainiansniper5916 No, there are Three that absoluterly would be even worse than what they are, "Crazy Frog", all the Aqua Music and the Milli Vanilli "Music"!
You should have said "Every GOOD 80s and 90s song sounds better accompanied by and orchestral arrangement."
@@Patruicio Does Crazy Frog even have ANY original songs? All I've heard have been done from existing songs. And those originals, which Crazy Frog butchered, could be made better with an orchestral arrangement.
Me: don’t mess with the original
Cutting Crew: 🤣
Me: I stand corrected
A lot of stars of the 80s still sing beautifully, without an autotune. A real talent. Why is life rushing so fast, they could still write and sing so many songs.
Autotune is like photoshopping a model on a magazine cover. Fake. The 80s were real.
And then you have Vince Neil.
Just like a fine aged wine................fricking brilliant! So many memories....

I always loved this song, this version is even better!!!
I believe the vocals have gotten even better with age
I thought so too...
Pretty close to his prime I'd say. Sounds amazing.
I concur....
Yes.
Ya but he's to old to hold the highs lot he used to
I said it before and I'll say it again: This is one of the best songs of the 80's (top 10) is THAT good!
No doubt.
i am agree , its my second in the top10 ever. my first is Love bites(def leppard). An other nice version of this song is I just die in your arm (Live At RockPalast 2007)
That 2007 performance was incredible
Is amazing
Indeed. Quite right.

We search for old memories💗...
Wow! My Goodness, what a beautiful version...
First time I see It and i'm so glad he's still rocking with this beautiful song.
Para empezar no es rock.
I remember this song from the 80s, but this version is actually better. Fantastic version WOW!!!
Got to agree, this is the version I go to
Ditto Kirsten Gareth Moulton is awesome to watch and hear him play.
Agree🎉
Too much reverbe on his voice I think. I prefer the original.
The original will always be the best. Especially with the sublime guitar playing of the original. This is good, but the original is still the best.@@ricomajestic
Every bone in my body thought this was going to be awful, but I've never been so happy to be proven so wrong. Absolutely fantastic!!!
This is a classic. The most popular song the band ever recorded
They did manage to pull it off. The vocals are tremendous.
Yes! I thought, "Oh no, this is going to be painful. Why couldn't they just leave it well enough alone."
I was very pleasantly surprised

hahahaha beautiful, i think he must sounds so cute.
What a nice son. I wish i have son like that
Adorable! 🥰
I have been listening to this song since it was released 36 years ago, I just love the sound, the voice and the lyrics. Nick Van Eede sounds amazing in this video, I absolutely love it 😍
I’m wowed by how good Nick Van Eede sounds. So many singers have lost a lot but he sounds amazing.
X2
Holy Crap - thy sound fckng unbelievable - better than they did in the 80's.
I actually think they topped the original version too. The vocals were astounding.
The singer is the only original member left
@Parris ofTroy The guitarist, Kevin MacMichael, passed away in 2002. As far as I know the other two just left when their popularity dropped off.
The sound is incredible
His voice aged so well damn
80s - no facebook, no instagram, no stupid "likes" but people were been so happy than in this zombie era. Such a beautiful song what you will miss in our nowaday........

its known as this cool thing called autotune. it really isnt as cool as it seems. in fact this one isnt very good
It’s called studio production. You know you arent actually hearing him sing live in a music video right? 🤦🏽♂️
@@ertonyrn Ofc that ads to it a lot, but you can check out some recent live performances of Cutting Crew and hear that Nick still sounds great during concerts.

I am so thankful that I grew up in the 80's, so much good music that I still play today and never get tired of them! It takes me back to a much simpler time and place.. I miss the whole culture from then tbh It was a far cry from where we are today in all phases sadly.

This is just fabulous.
The artists are like fine wine, while the song remains timeless. In other words, legends.
Nick is still fine. Either he has really good genes or he doesn't drink or smoke because his voice is still golden. I just found out that the guitarist and one of the founding members of the band, Kevin MacMichael, died in 2002 at 51 from lung cancer.
The 80’s was the best decade of music hands down.
❤
Afirmativo Agus
i love this song ❤️
I absolutely love this version of the song. That guitarist is channeling Kevin MacMichael...God rest his soul.
He was amazing RIP Kevin
Are you kidding me???!!! Just when you thought the song couldn't be more perfect, this version is just outrageous, outstanding, amazing , sublime, wow!!!! I wasn't born in the 80s era, but listening to that decade's music I found many songs I've liked very much, and one of them is the original version of this masterpiece. But this version is a while new level. Well done!! I've enjoyed it!

This reminds me of the first video of this song, where the band is running behind the cameras and joking around. It's clear this was Nick's fun and playful aesthetic. Also, really digging the orchestration, it really adds to the song. Sounding great close to 40 years later!
BTW, on the music stand there is a picture book of Halifax, a shoutout to Kevin MacMichael, Cutting Crew's first guitarist and founding member, who passed away in 2002.
I think his voice sounds even better it sounds like more deep and obscure voice
It's called autotune...
This has been on my driving playlist for years.
Nick, you are amazing! What a wonderful version of your immortal smash hit! My era. Pure talent. Real instruments played by real musicians. No autotune. Great voices and harmonies! Everything played LIVE.
Damn! This is how you take your own song and make it even better.
Goddam I miss the 80's. Still love you Nick.
Sorry to say this but I had broadcast the album in the 80’s and played it so so much so much, now quite a few years later on I’m on holiday at the mother in laws in France so hot to go out ,, just re-discovered the cutting crew I apologise for the 30 odd year break , I’ve just downloaded the album ransomed healed from Amazon, and after all this time near perfect word for word I can get the songs after all this time, just to say music and good music as this is never disappears its just fizzling away in my mind to be re-discovered again and jog so many good good memories as well, music really is important to us all through life and I just wanted to share my small story of just how touched I am emotionally to be listening again to you…thank you music truly never does die.
Atemporal.

"(I Just) Died in Your Arms," (along with the album "Broadcast" in general,) brought me great listening enjoyment back in 1986. I never would have thought that some 34 years later I'd be able to experience that gem on a whole new level. What a fresh and invigorated take Nick has brought to the table with this version! The orchestral arrangement adds depth to the entire piece. A solid winner in my book; a big "Thank you" to the Cutting Crew for this new edition!
And he has Gareth Moulton (Wang Chung) with him still playing for him.. That's pretty awesome too.
