    Thanks you. Without your channel I wouldn't have done good on the avsab. I scored a 54 and are being sent after my last year of highschool. If at anytime someone I know wants to join the military I will mention your free study videos.

      Congrats, I appreciate the recommendations, and I wish you the best in the military! I put a lot of effort into my videos, so it's always nice to hear people are benefiting from them! Honestly, I think I've uploaded so many high-quality videos now that people don't have to spend a penny on test prep to do well on the test.

    I'm currently studying to become a medic in the army and I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to upload these videos. Tutoring is insanely expensive, and you explain math in a way non-mathematically savvy people like myself can understand. I struggled through highschool and forgotten lot since then. I took my ASVAB once and didn't score high enough for the MOS, so I'm crash coursing math for the next few weeks until my retest. Without your videos, I don't think I would feel prepared enough to retest. Just wanted to say thank you!

    My native language is French,
    I have problems in word knowledge and paragraph comprehension
    In 2019 I took asvab times and got 29 and 17 then I gave up;
    Now by found your website, I will try to take it again.

    I have a question I take my ASVAB on November 1st. I been studying off and on. The last time I took the ASVAB I got a 15 and that was a year ago. I always do well when I take a practice test in the recruiting office. But when I take the real test I bomb it. And I only want a 32 to pass. U think if I study with the boot camp videos I could make a 31 or higher to get into the army

    • @GrammarHero

      You should be able to, since the videos in that playlist are the best practice test videos on my channel. In addition to watching those videos, though, you'll want to do a few other things, including:
      1. Learning and memorizing the formulas in my reference sheet, which you can download here: www.asvabapp.com/Reference.pdf; and
      (Note: A lot of people fail the ASVAB/PiCAT because they have a weak understanding of those basic formulas)
      2. Learning the topics in my checklist: www.asvabapp.com/checklist.pdf
      I have videos for literally every topic in that checklist, and I've attempted to cover all of those topics in my practice tests, too!
      Good luck!

    For question 5 how do you know when to use the Pythagorean theorem bc I paused the video so I could work on it and I just tried to solve it like a regular triangle

    • @bienvenidos9360
      @bienvenidos9360 Рік тому

      The Pythagorean theorem is used to find the length of the missing side in a right triangle. A right triangle is a triangle with one angle equal to 90°.
      Squares and rectangles have 4 right angles each, so when you draw a diagonal from one corner to the opposite corner, 2 right triangles are formed inside the shape. The length and width of the original square or rectangle now become the base or height for each of the 2 triangles formed inside the shape when the diagonal was drawn.
      The angle opposite the diagonal is 90° from the corner of the square or rectangle. So since each triangle in this example is a right triangle (it has a 90° angle in other words) and you know the length of 2 of its sides, you can use the Pythagorean theorem to find the 3rd side.

    I did Q3 on my own at first basically using the Permiter formula and realized usually it would be Perimeter/(the number of sides) so I did 36/3= 12. Then added 6 to find the base = 18. Then using the permiter 12 + the base of 18 and got 30. 36 (the area) - 30 (the hypotenuse) gave me 6 (height) which is the answer. Is this viable for finding height for the AFOQT or should I stick with the basic formula A= 1/2bh?
    Edit: I'm asking because this is the most natural and fastest way I am able to perform this problem. If it's not reliable I'll use the formula you provided.

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  2 роки тому

      Q3 is about a rectangle, not a triangle. Am I missing something?
