ASVAB/PiCAT Practice Test: The Mathematics Knowledge Subtest | A Computer-Adaptive Practice Test

- In this video, I work out some practice test questions from a Mathematics Knowledge (MK) practice test. In order to do well on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) or Pre-screening internet-delivered Computer Adaptive Test (PiCAT), you must be comfortable solving problems that are similar to the ones in this video. To get the most from this video, you'll want to pause the video after I read a question, attempt to work out the question on your own, and then resume playing the video to check your solution.

Congrats! If you got a 70 on the PiCAT, then you should be good to go! Just keep in mind that, sometimes, they will randomly make you take the full ASVAB, even if you do really well on the verification test. If that happens to you, you should use it as an opportunity to score even higher. Good luck!

What does one perosn to of a score to pass for aviation mechanic I think 15b I just wanna do something with my life with planes but this stuff is so freaking hard been years since I was in school

.Hallo! Love your videos. I am wondering about question 11 at 45:22 x=-100 but when pluged in the answer is 26. for ex x/5+6=14 {x=-100} 100/5+6=26. I wanted to know if using PITA would work in that instance if not how would we check that answer.

Yes, you could have, and that's exactly what I did in the video! I multiplied both sides by 2/1, and you may remember that 2/1 = 2.

Question on Topic: Evaluating Expressions, minute 43
Wouldn't -6^2 equal positive 36, making the problem (25+36)^2?
Since you have -6^2, isn't that equal to positive 36?
If you read the equation, it is minus 6^2. 5^2 minus 6^2 = 25 - 36 = -11.

Would you say this test is about the same difficulty or harder
@@ogsaga6493 It will be easier for people who score low, and it will be harder for people who score high. These are the fundamentals that you have to know to pass, though!
Where do I start for math via the playlist if math is my weakest subject and want to do well on AR and MK.
I would start with my math boot camp playlist, and as you go through those practice test questions, I would go through the playlists for the topics you struggled with. For instance, if you struggled with distance, rate, and time, I would find that playlist and go through it. And if you struggled with solving equations, I would go through that playlist. Again, the ASVAB is a review of what you should have learned in middle school and high school. You shouldn't need a full course on Algebra to pass the test!

Honestly, if you want to improve your knowledge as quickly as possible, I would focus on my "Shorts" videos. In those videos, I cover just about everthing you need to be successful on the math sections of the test! After that, I would move on to my Math Boot Camp playlist. Good luck!

Got a 68.8% On this pausing before you explained each one. Should have been a 75% but 2 of the questions I missed, Ihad correct, but second guessed myself last second and changed it the answer.
Issue was the slope and line questions. Was clueless on them, but those are the only thing on here I haven't actually studied yet

I got a 45 on my picat today. If I go take the verification test next week and they shoot me into the full asvab test.... Im focking screwed 😢
Most people who get randomly rolled into the full test actually do better than they did on the PiCAT.

I think you should start a class I will pay to join I did mine I did not get well but I think if u do a class we will all agree and come to class
If you can't learn this on your own, you need one-on-one tutoring, not a class. This is middle school and beginning high school math. If you failed to learn this then, you should not have a high school diploma/GED and be ineligible for service.
