    I wasn’t born in the 1950’s but my mother and several others in my family told me the bayou was crystal clear. The bayou is STILL. full of catfish too! I fish it all of the time. Better keep your hook off the bottom!

    wonder what's the likely hood some of them pickup shrimp from a hidden farm and then bring them back....you can farm shrimp in standup swimming pool..none of the shrimp looks like it used to...and it's not just from the bp spill...not buying that....

      I know there were no blaczk shrimpers in bayou la batre until at least after 2007.
