Only wild coho are released at Drano. Every Wednesday they gill net the entire lake during October.

Had it been anywhere else I may have returned this Hen to breed. Drano lake is gill netted every Wednesday in October, and they catch a large number of fish indiscriminately including Natives. So its in my smoker right now.

@@owenscott1552 if it was a native Tule i would have released, but it was just a tired old chinook that will fit in the smoker nicely. Probably the last I will keep of the season, its fat reserves were almost depleted, meat was still firm but not fine table quality of chrome fish. Better than any smoked salmon availiable in the stores.
