I realised in the whole series, they never said 'I love you' for confessing or 'Lets break up' while separating. They were always thankful, understanding, communicating and in love with eachother. Such a healthy relationship. ❤️❤️
Ikr. I've been amazed at that too. It's like they have this understanding just by looking at each other or reading the meaning behind the lines only they understand. Only soulmates can do that.

I think Pat initiated the breakup. He did it for Pran. It feels like he saw in Pran at the beach that if they're for each other, they will find their way back to each other again. Maybe they feel like they needed to mature first and let their families be fixed and healed first. And you remember what Pat said in Ep7 I think, "I always let my lover win" and "If my victory puts my boyfriend in trouble, I'd rather lose." If having Pran for himself will make Pran be miserable by missing his mom. We all know Pat. He sees Pran and he knows Pran so well. Since the first episode, he always put Pran first. The sacrifices he made for Pran's happiness. 😭😭😭

They did broke up this episode.
I think they realized that even if they love each other, it is not enough to change their parents. and this is the most painful break up for me in a series. They even showed PatPran's "perfect world" would look like but ended up to be the most painful breakup for the both of them. Btw, i think that this is a mutual decision when they converse while Pran is fixing Pat's red uniform.
They did actually break up. It was during the scene where Pran brings Pat the red shirt. Pat is thanking Pran for trying to make him happy. The whole episode shows Pran missing his family and wanting to go home. They also kept showing his love for music and his dream of being a musician. Pran only agreed to the permanent job to make Pat happy. That’s why they kept showing Pat looking at Pran whenever he was thinking of the family situation. Pran did choose Pat over his family and his dreams. That’s why he accepted the permanent job to make Pat happy.
At the beginning of episode during the bus ride both of them know and understand that going back home means splitting up. Remember that Pran said “We can’t change what happened. We can only live with it”. Pat was the one who said “You can accept it but I can’t”. Pats only plan for them to be together was for them to stay at the beach. That’s why this episode shows Pat trying to build a life for them at the beach, he even finds them permanent jobs, he finds them a place to stay, and a way to get free drinks. Pat recognized that Pran wouldn’t have been happy staying at the beach but that Pran was still willing to stay. That’s why he starts thanking Pran for trying to make him happy. He also thanks Pran for fighting with him but that they need to go home. The opening scene literally has them discussing how Prans mom won’t forgive Pats dad and how the family situation can’t be rectified (hence Pat seriously wanting to run away). Pran started crying when he recognized that Pat was saying that they needed to go home since they both knew what going home meant.

👏👏👏 Bravo. This episode and the mutual break-up between Pat and Pran reminds me of the other mutual break-up scene between Alexis and Ted from "Schitt's Creek". That episode was also heartbreaking and understandable for those two characters.

If someone is confused in some parts, the director and I think one of the writers gave two clarifications:
1) The bed scene :
P'Aof says: "When i first read this scene, i really like it. for me, the relationship of pat & pran can be interchanged between patpran or pranpat, which makes them special. And the existence of this scene makes their relationship once again become even sexier."
2: Break up?
P'K.Kittisak says : "Pat had Pran as his first priority and he could abandon everything in the world for Pran. But Pran couldn't, and when they had to go back, Pat still chose Pran, he chose to do what Pran pleased. I understand the character, I extremely understand Pat. In this world, there's nothing he wants more than Pran. But if Pran wanted to go home, Pat would go back for him."
P'K.Kittisak: : "Sometimes just love couldn't survive. When I watched this, I felt so pity for PatPran, they didn't have money so they had to ask ppl for housing and work in exchange for meals. They just tried to hold thing up, they ran away to know that it's not easy at all.
How could these two 19-yr-old kids fight for their lives? Even if there's no such thing about feeling guilty for their family, everything is still difficult."

Completely agreed with that uniform scene i didn't pay much to it at first though I sense the goodbyes in there, but when the goodluck BUDDY scene that's when you look back "oh that's the scene" the mutually unspoken break up, that's why it has a goodbye vibes
It did made sense because the moment Pran sang the song, all their memories showed up & after the name of P'Aof showed when Pran said thank you Pat cried

One of the screenwriters verified that this (52:30) was not their first time, but it was the first time they switched so that's why Pran was asking if he was good because he didn't top before.

Also, Pat did say in an interview that what he learned from acting in Bad buddy was how to put his foot down and firmly talk to someone who might be in a superior position to him (ie, parents, boss) without being nervous and timid like he used to be. I believe it will be a happy ending.... hopefully

This is something I noticed among all reactors, none realize when Pat and Pran both agreed that going home and breaking up is the best move for them right now. It was a silent agreement during the 4th part when they were both in the living room getting ready to go to work. Throughout the whole episode, Pat saw Pran missing his family and after seeing Pran sitting on the bitch smiling lovingly at him, he realized he had to do something. So he talked to pran about quitting the job and spending one last night - this is why Pran started crying during their talk because he knew what Pat was saying and he knew it was going to be the end.

Not me coming back here after finding out that this was not their first time “sleeping” together💀 why didn’t anyone tell me that they had already done it by episode 8💀💀 I legit ignored all the innuendos and hints that said they had already been having s*x 💀💀
But I’m actually happy that this wasn’t there first time because I was kinda put off with the thought that they got drunk before what I thought was there “first time". But it puts me at ease now to know they had already did it. I still can’t believe it took me to episode 11 to realize they had already been doing it.🤡🤡

I think that the reality is that relationships like PatPran although they are a healthy relationship, doesn't mean they won't encounter certain problems, and in their case, their parents are the root of their problem, and having them mutually break up is something that is to be expected, they both knew what is the reality of their relationship, and how it isn't going to last long if they don't solve the root of the problem, if they honestly didn't break up, they might end up hurting each other emotionally and mentally, Pran from the beginning, although he hated the fact that his mother filled his mind with negative thoughts about Pat and his family, he still loves her dearly, and she also does the same, although her intentions is misplaced, she still deeply cares for him, and for Pran, his family means a lot to him, and as for Pat, he just feels so guilty at what his father has done to Pran's mother, his only solution was to run away and pretend that everything was okay, but the reality is that he knows he cannot avoid what has been done, and he saw how Pran tried to make him happy by staying with him "permanently" although he can see that Pran longs for his family, for Pat, his top priority is always Pran, he feels happy whenever he sees Pran is happy, but he can tell by Pran trying to make him happy, he's also hurting him in the inside, and the last thing Pat wants to do is to make Pran hurt by his selfish wishes, and because of this he decides to go along with Pran's wishes although it hurts him to let him go, but as long as it doesn't hurt Pran, he'll be okay, and just because both of them mutually agreed to have a break up, doesn't mean that they will stop loving and longing for each other, throughout this episode, they have spent a nice quality time and getting to know what it's like to live together in a place that offers more freedom for them, not only that, they both have fallen in love with each other deeply if not more, they have strengthen their connection and bond in this episode intimately and emotionally, and because of those things, it's going to be hard for them to able to get through each other's love like that, especially when they got to experience the blissful feelings and emotions of what it's like to love one another, it's not going to easy for them about this break up, but they are doing it for their own sake, and take their time to heal within their own family and grow up more til its time for them to reconnect again and fight for their love more stronger than ever.
I know that everyone was blindsided by the preview but I feel it overshadows the actual episode a bit because that episode was stunning. It was like a movie or a special, and especially that last part was absolutely beautiful. I really feel one of the most stunning episodes in a BL i've seen, it really gave everything. Let's appreciate that whilst we wait to see what drama awaits next week. Enjoyed watching along with you guys as ever. :)

They probably knew they're gonna break up. They knew going home means they need to separate with each other. I realized it when Pran said 'What are you saying?' and when Pran shed tears. That was probably their break up scene! They didn't say the word 'let's break up' they just knew! GMM better give me some happy ending or else.,...
Yeah I agree. 'Going back home' was their euphemism for breaking up. I thought it was a cool directing choice to insinuate they were breaking up rather than outright confirm it. Like a show don't tell angle. That's why Pran cried and why Pat was extra hurt when Pran almost called his mum and Pat accused him of wanting to leave. I think Pran accepting the job for them was his way of allowing Pat to continue their fantasy life for a few more days.
After rewatching, I'm pretty sure they actually knew on the initial bus ride that this was the beginning of the end but I imagine Pat was probably in a bit of denial. The whole episode was both a love letter and a farewell to their relationship. Whilst i'm sad it happened i'm glad it was mutual because I would've been even more heartbroken.
Uncle Tong is the director of KinnPorsche the series... if it's anything like Bad Buddy it will be God tier when it eventually comes out!

When I watched it I didn’t even notice that pat was crying at the end in front of their respective houses. I didn’t even notice the word “buddy" either. Like the preview had made me so confused I had to go onto tumblr to figure out what happened. Only for people on tumblr to say the end of this episode was the break up💀💀 the way the ending and preview confused me LMAOO
Im not gonna lie, I THRIVE on angst 💀so I loved these past few episodes and this one cuz I thrive on drama and angst
I know BBS is just a show but it has really been something that many have been attached to. To see how Pat and Pran’s relationship bloomed, to showing a very healthy relationship, yet have to reach a painful decision to break up for their families. The show also broke a lot of barriers and really broke the perceptions of what a homosexual relationship “should” be. I remember Nanon’s statement in the ep 8 recap that everything is in P’Aofs perception. And thank you P’Aof for sharing your perception and for really showing that healthy relationships are really possible. It just really hits home, especially for Asians, that family matters do really affect us in a good and in a bad way. I'm still crossing my fingers for a good ending as P'Aof has promised in one of his interviews!
Having parent's approval is needed not just because it's right but it's something which put the partners at peace. Pat and Pran both wished and wanted to have a happy beginning of something like as important as a relationship and further on to it. I can relate to them completely on this . Also having said that one has to face the reality sooner or later. Being dependent on parents financially or economically is also something which hurdles one's relationship to thrive because in that case one can't have a say on anything differently opinionated from their parents.. financial independence put a stamp on that "valid say" . And ofcourse with time and patience good things become better only if there is a determination to make through it is there. Pat and Pran's combined decision is something we should learn from...that made them "the couple" who decided to stay in their relationship privately as in innately and break up in the public eye's for the sake of their parents and for their individual growth just to come back stronger in the later years. In that way they gave their respective parents enough time to sit,decide and change for the better after seeing changes in their respective child.

I've heard enough of "you don't need your parents disown them" type of remarks and have always wondered if we actually think it's that simple. You may not agree with your family but if they're loving parents who just happen to not agree with you about who you're dating or your choice of career it's not reason to disown them (that's different from toxic parents who neglect/abuse their child; in this case you should seek help and leave). But if your parents love you you just don't see eye to eye in things, but you know they will never hurt you, remember this: your mom carried you 9 months in her womb, endured hardship with you in her womb and when you were born. She gave you life! Your dad raised you and endured many things as well cause raising children in a loving home is not easy. I hope we're not a generation that disowns or hates on parents like it's the easiest thing to do. You can live your life as your choice while still loving your parents and staying as their child. This comment provided a perspective that gave me such relief people like you still exist.

And yes, they did breakup under a mutual decision. People were quick to point out the uniform scene was actually the lowkey breakup scene where Pat thanked Pran for everything and that no matter what happens, he will always love Pran. That's also the reason for the "Good luck, buddy" line. It was directors' hint that it already happened.
Writers explained also something about considering the current situation where if they choose to continue while their families were clearly against it, they might end up fighting about it as a couple in the near future blaming each other when things go wrong. A very bittersweet reason since they maintained their healthy relationship and mindset even in a breakup 🥲 They chose to become friends for now and if fate will allow it, they will be in each other's arms again in the future when everything calms down between the two families. It's truly sad to know that they put their family first but coming also from Asian descent, I understand the culture. I just really hope P'Aof comes thru with a happy ending this week. I want to cry with all of you sum happy tears next Friday 😭

I cried unknowingly in the last scene where both ohm and nanon where standing infront of their respective home and recalled the answer, its such a beautiful love and chemistry between them, OHM and NANON are so good and natural, I cannot even define. A huge credit and applaud to director, story writer every crew member of BBS. The song sang by Nanon was also so good. Again as usual the EP is hit. We are heartily thankful to BBS team for making this legendary series with awesome star cast and finally giving us our beloved pair OHM and NANON
I like how they (finally!) show us a sex-wise verse/switch couple (P’Aof has confirmed this) in a healthy, communicative and mutually appreciative relationship full of caring reciprocity and emphathetic and logical compromises. Pat was topping since ep 8, this is Pran’s 1st time topping, hence his question: “Was I good?” This and lots of other trope-defying BBS stuff ventures into realities of actual gay relationships. Before in BLs it was mostly heteronormative narrative imposed on same-sex relationships. Now - a fujoshi/fudanshi fantasy crossing over into a more realistic queer representation in Thailand. Temporary and mutually agreed “break-up” to appease and reconcile the families and eliminate obstacles is just a voluntary way of losing 1 battle to ultimately win the entire war for their eternal love and being together with full acceptance from the most important people in their lives.
this episode broke me... I wanted to cry during the all episode... When Pran started to sing, the flashback and their imagination about their life if their parents were not enemies... their last eyes contact before to go in their respective home.... I burst into tears...they love each other so much... I feel that the break up is so unfair.... I want fluffy and cute stuff for the last episode.... I want an happy ending.... I think I will no handle it if they don't have their happy ending...
I really envy people who doesn't watch the previews. The break up is inevitable, they had to be more mature, and get their life and family sorted out first. I know how they love their family and we will always end up with our families. One thing is for sure they will end up together at some point.
If you watch this whole episode carefully you'd have known that they were breaking up from the very beginning, we witnesses the whole process of coming to that.

i don't think it was fluff :/ character development-wise it made a LOT of progress. and it developed the maturity of patpran's relationship as well, by learning what they can and can't give each other.
@@jimmiejam508 it basically was though. They said it themselves, this was their honeymoon. Also considering the angst from the previous episodes and the whole "episode 11 curse" thing, Bad Buddy episode 11 was the complete turnaround of the typical BL drama formula 🥰
I’m living in a reality where PatPran resolved their respective issues and their friends just didn’t know they’ve been together after all these years. Then during their reunion that’s where they just shout to the world they’re engaged. The end.
I cried again and again front the moment pat spoke thanked pran, and pran realised they are gonna break up and he cried till ending it was so sad but shows healthy, understanding, deep love between them.

We always talk about Nanon's acting but Ohm was amazing in this episode, everytime he looked at Pran I knew how it was going to happen
That song at the end (Our Song by Nanon Korapat) was amazing; however, it wasn’t what got me. What got me was his introduction leading up to it. With his soft-spoken voice and the way he looked at Pat, it was truly touching. Back in episode 7 when Wai was describing the synopsis of the drama to Pran, Wai said “from two people who can’t be friends to two people who can’t be just friends”, it was dramatic
then. But here when Pran says “From two people who can’t be friends, without knowing it, we become two people who can’t be just friends”, it was so much more meaningful.
In the Asian culture, disrespecting your parents is the single worst thing a child can do. I know because I am one. But I hope GMMTV will find a way for the parents to resolve their conflicts and let the children
be themselves. Otherwise, all that efforts Pat and Pran put in since the beginning of the series up to this point would have been in vain. One question though…do Pat’s parents know that it was Pran who saved
Pa? I hope GMMTV will give us, the viewers, a proper closure. But more importantly, give Pat and Pran an ending that they truly deserve.
One last wish…I wish GMMTV RECORDS would release all the instrumental soundtracks they used in this series. They are simply mesmerizing, and they add so much more to the storyline.
Pat’s a hero in my eyes. He sees that his beloved Pran will very soon feel and be unhappy if he chooses Pat over his mom, the most important person in Pran’s life, right now. So fixing the necessary things and healing over time has to be done, otherwise their romance is doomed. Pat is not only empathetic but also wise beyond his age. He’s the MVP here, imho. He’s not blinded by love but his love has no boundaries for what he could do to make Pran happy. He really is the perfect life partner. The overused “Pran fell first, but Pat fell harder” is sooo true, I guess. Pran is one lucky sob.😁 Just to experience that kind of love, even for a bit, is worth a lifetime…
they did break up even before they went home. hence the alternate ending, pat tearing up, and pran saying "good luck, buddy".
Them seriously talking where Pran dress Pat up before drinking at the bar is their break up moment. They already knew by then, the moment they go home they can't continue what they have or they will continue to hurt their families. Reason why they were both too emotional and Pat all crying after Pran's performance and both of them tearing up in front of their gates.

The only way this preview makes sense with the rest of the series, it's if it's a complete misdirect. I feel like the people in the comments that push "well, in THIS culture it's perfectly normal-" miss the point. First of all, even if something is normalized in a culture (mine as well, so chill, i'm not talking from a pov of misunderstanding the situation, but exactly bc I do get it, I want people to stop accepting this as a norm), it doesn't make it right. Second, this drama has been building up for ELEVEN (11) episodes a story where this type of toxic parenting is being called out and held responsible for the damage it does to the children. Dropping the ball on the very last episode would be a huge disappointment.
It makes no sense for the type of story and for the character development we've got for 11 episodes. It's okay to portray stories where the status quo is challenged, and Bad Buddy has done that for 11 episodes, so falling back on what's normalized would be a betrayal of the audience's trust and of the message this series was built on in the first place. The parents wouldn't be held responsible, wouldn't learn a thing, and once again the children would have to suffer for the sake of immature parents who burden the children with their own issues instead of dealing with them. Even ignoring the queer aspect, that alone is a bad message to send. Add the queer aspect, and it gets too cruel for me. Not everyone's experience is the same, even in a context in which something like this is norm, so let those stories be told as well, bc it's not like the media isn't full of portrayals of queer kids being victims of bad parenting, from parents who aren't held responsible for their mistakes.
Them suffering and breaking up for parent approval is toxic, period. And anyway, what sense does it make for them to be miserable for years and getting back together as independent adults for the whole "family first at all costs" toxic debacle? if the parents aren't held accountable in the first place, then the messaging you're sending is "queer kids can only be free to be themselves away from their own family" and that doesn't seem very "family first" to me, that is just "hide the toxicity in the famaily dynamic". And since y'all wanna talk about realism, in a realistic setting where kids are hurt so much by their parents, usually that sht traumatizes the kids, and as adults, they usually start resenting the parents for having deprived them of what made them happy and for having burdened them with the parents unaddressed, unresolved issues. Great "family first" messaging, ain't it?
There are ways to maintain the important role of family in people's lives that doesn't involve accepting these types of unhealthy dynamics as a norm. Bad Buddy seemed geared towards addressing and resolving this type of issue. If it steps back on the last episode for the sake of gratuitous angst, it's just taking the easy way out in storytelling by falling back on norm and old tropes. It's lazy and disappointing.

That mother is not going to budge. She would take pran out of that school in a heartbeat and they knew that. Remember pat said he would not be the reason pran is sent away again! Grabe when I rewatched it with you guys and knowing what I know messed me up even more, like I was crying the whole entire episode and it hits different all the lines, the way they look at each other, the way they profess their love hits different with the knowledge that at the end they just decided to break up haaaaay :(.
My inputs on the episode is that what they did was the most natural thing a young couple would do when they encounter a scenario like this. They're both scared, Pat's just not showing it, they don't have anything and they realized that on the island. They still have dreams to pursue and for me I agree with their decision to break up for now because what if they fought for their relationship now and ended up with a bad life like no job, no home or something would happen to the parents and you know they'd end up blaming each other for it, etc. they would eventually just hate each other because of their love and that happens in real life. I would rather wait for the perfect timing than to hate the love of my life forever. And if in the future they give the relationship another chance I am sure that they will live a happier life than a life full of regrets. That's for me the theme of this drama.

As usual BBS is breaking BL or even any series stereotypes. The "cursed 11" episode is not cursed at all. Well , parts 2 to 4 had no EngSub during the Premiere. Maybe it joined Pat and Pran for a brief hour long vacation, away from the parental drama, hehe.
Also, the whole song reveal? Oh my! I had goosebumps and for me, it had that Star Wars the Force Awaken - "Luke Skywalker reveal" towards the end. Then the lush and serene cinematic color sets the mood of the entire honeymoon getaway. You can sense, feel, touch. taste and smell the emotions/mood of each moment for every scene.
IMHO ,this episode doesn't feel like a penultimate, it felt like a season 2 Finale. Remember, we started season two at Episode 7 where part 1 was Episode 1, part 2 was Episode 2, etc.
Finally, I hope BP was there with you guys to complete the "squares" or you could invite tita Josie, Revil, Javi and Lydia for the Season 3 opening, ehem, I mean Season 1 EP12 Finale , that will be an ultimate reactors around the world event.

I don't think they broke up. Pat literally said that pran never leaves him and always fights along side him. They were stronger than ever by the end of the episode. I'm sure this is something they planned together to give their families time to heal. Watch them revealing the conversation we are missing before they entered the house next week.

To continue the relationship will hurt their relationship with their family. They don’t want to live continue lying to their parents... Pat saw how sad Pran when he was away from home. And they know the minute after they come back home, one of them will be removed from the uni.. just like in high school.
They broke up, because when Pat asked Pran what do you want to be in the future, Pran said he wants to be interior designer and musician… and it cannot be done if they stay in the village. and Pat said he would take over his family business… it shows us that what they did with the runaway was just the impulsive and emotional action... they have never thought about the consequences of their future…

I hope the preview they showed us is just a dream sequence. Either Pat or Pran better be dreaming about what could’ve happened if their parents don’t accept their relationship.
I can see it both ways. If they did break up then we got an entire break up episode without even knowing it which is kind of brilliant and a different take on the old trope because as you said it was mutual and out of love. Pat will always lose for Pran. If you rewatch the ep. You can actually see the non-verbal moments where they realize it’s the end.
Now this could be a fake out too. They could have lied and kept a secret relationship but we saw how terrible that went before. It was a strain on Pat and Pran doesn’t do great disobeying his mom. He is still they same Pran who quit guitar and went away for 2 yrs to obey his mother. Not sure all that would just change but maybe. The more I type the less I believe now lol It would be actually more out of character for them to be able to sustain a secret relationship for years but I still have hope.

what a wonderful episode! nothing more to say than what has already been said! I'm just going to talk about the preview for the last one so disclaimer this is just my opinion and my feelings! if ever Pat ezt Pran had to break up because of the problems between their two families, it's a big no for me and a huge misunderstanding of the guideline of the series, let me explain! since the beginning this series breaks the codes of BL, it highlights the points that we have all raised like "husband and wife, I don't like men but since it's you I love you" etc I won't understand so not if it didn't go all the way! for me and once again it's only my opinion, you don't make children for yourself, you don't have the right to twist your children's brains to make them hate something or someone, you are there to guide them and accept that they are wrong because only mistakes can be learned! I understand the feelings of Pran's mother but I no longer respect her as long as she conditions her son and Pat's father, what can I say except that he's weak!
I'm going to be told that I don't understand because it's another generation, another culture, and that's going to make me laugh! That consensual break up for me was made without saying out loud on that scene where pran fixing that red clothes of pat, that realization of pat saying 'i know it too well that eventually we gonna go back sooner than later' saying thanks for pran making him "silly guy happy" saying you fight along side me it was a definitely a goodbye,(he knows that they not gonna be together once they're back) we all know that pran was reluctant to get in on this relationship Ep5 when he cry and pull out after that kiss, beggining ep6 where he wants to avoid it. All those scene state that pran already knows that it would not end well so why start it, which he had a convo with wai on ep8?, so hearing it from pat saying those words he also knows that his worries are coming, that's why they do say at the last minutes of the series

I’ve been thinking about it and the phrase Pat said when they were dressing each other: “you never leave me” “we fight along together” as a mutual agreement by Pran staying quiet, crying and not replaying back. Looks like the preview of ep 12 is a little deceiving! Yes, there is a time skip, and yes they told everyone they broke up, but it seems that is not a broke up in reality and they will keep the relationship going only within themselves. Perhaps they were sad because a physical separation for a period of time was going to be part of it. Also The reunion is gonna be a high school reunion and not college reunion by looking the pictures pat was looking on the wall, so back then nobody knew about pran and pat being boyfriends after in college but rivals, only Ink knew. Also, Nanon said that ep 12 is very much P’Aof, maybe like the novel at the end they will sign a contract like marriage thing, due that Thailand doesn’t have legal rights for marriage… So yeah, it seems it maybe a happy ending after all.

Okay but Pran is STILL wearing the watch!! The all important watch after the time skip. I don’t know what that means but I feel like it is a significant thing just because it meant so much when Pran put it back on. Also we’ve learned to not trust the previews with this show. They tend to mislead and give just enough to have you make all the wrong assumptions. Some people are so sure they broke up and it was done but I question it specifically because it was in the preview. Wish they hadn’t even given a preview. It kind of brought everyone down after the episode was over. The fandom is talking more about them breaking up than anything that happened in the episode. The preview is way to much of a downer. They should have just let us all wonder till next week.
