- The first introduction to the Street VIPER RT/10 to Defender Morph.
Metrolight studios was responsible for this amazing transformation sequence. I would like more information on this if anyone from Metrolight views this!

I did the morphs for all but the first season (Metrolight did those), along with my friend Tim Claycomb. We were using desktop PCs, tracking everything by hand and using software with few of the features available now, sometimes doing three or four morphs in a week on machines that took hours per frame to render! Given that it was over twenty five years ago and nobody had done anything like it before on tv, I'm still pretty proud of what we turned out for the show. :) Good times! ua-cam.com/video/rAGLPTJdwKs/v-deo.html
Please keep in touch! Any information you have about the series including experiences, what was it like etc. Please let me know. We are doing a podcast in the future and would LOVE your input.
Ah, the joy of tracking shots/elements by hand. I remember that too well.
dayum I used to love this show as a kid. shows like this influenced me to get into gfx as a career.
@@MrNormalPerson I'm glad you liked it, and that you are doing something you love!
Yeah I like your morphs it still looks good to me one of the best car show in history
I find it absolutely hilarious that this cgi transformation from 1994 looks more realistic compared to what was in the 2008 Knight Rider reboot.
The KITT in that TV series just plain sucked. Too many fantastic elements. the tv pilot transformation is a heck of a lot better.

Lots of parallels
I find it hilarious that this dodge viper transmorphs into a dodge viper, and they made a show about it.
Knight rider in the dvd has the english subtitles in the dvd. The Viper tv series in the dvd needs to revision in the dvd to be in the english subtitles.

Rest in peace, James. Thanks for being our childhood hero.
Who else came here to relive a childhood memory or two?
Everytime I see a very nice grey sportscar I get reminded of this, loved the show back as a kid
Always dreamed about getting one similar to this. Maybe one day
This looks very good for the time! Especially for a tv show
RIP James mccaffrey
I miss talking with you nbcviper, glad to see your channel still exists.
My question throughout my childhood always was: Where was all that stuff hidden?
Thus brings back memories of the mid 90s. I used to think this show was awesome. Lol.
I forgot all about this show
You simply can't replace legendary tv heroes this along with kitt I am sorry but today's tv shows completely suck our best efforts today aren't good enough thank you for your video and reminding us of great tv
I gotta say the Nano morph effect from Viper Season 1 still holds up pretty for a 25 year old show. The plate morph from later Viper seasons on the other hand looked very cheap back when it first aired, and awful by today's standards. I don't mind the concept of armor plates, but they made the CGI so cheap (even by 90s standards).
Budgetary reasons. This show always had a troubled production history and the VFX budget per episode was tiny.
That hex skin transformation sequence was very expensive to use in the first season and then when the show came back via syndication they had to cut corners cost wise and so that's why the transformation looked cheaper.
@@alucard624 You are correct. $50,000 per morph scene. And that's in 1994!
NBC Viper >>> Syndie Viper... and WHY THE HELL DID THEY REPLACE JOE?!?!!?
@@spacemanmonster23 Joe came back in season 4.
Me encantaba esta série sólo porel auto viper
This was, without a doubt, the better morph animation! They should have stuck with it. Not only smoother, and blended into the scenes better (when they got to use the expensive AF shots), it didn't break the law of Conservation of Mass! xD
And always loved the little drone (something they could do now! O_O )
Cgi effect Viper tv series 1994 was very front for the time it came on tv!
It would be an interesting race between Viper vs Coyote from Hardcastle and McCormick
Es una buena serie TV 1994.
Beast
i take it this is what Elon musk watched as a kid
My favorite part of the show when it goes into defender mode 😅😎😃
Viper is proof that legends can be created even after a long hiatus. Except when they're like LFA.
See now as an adult, I have to wonder: Why? Why even morph the car, why not always just using the silver version? 😂
Maximum speed, maximum armor, cloak engaged.
Donde comprarla audio latino o con subtitulo ?
"You've officially been pimped"
I did watch this show as a kid, but I fail to remember and see what this transformation was even good for xD I mean some monitors popped out, but couldn't they just always be there...?
The car had an undercover mode. So its better the car look stock in its normal undercover mode.
well you see..it transforms into a viper
So this thing transforms from a supercar into a different supercar?
50 grand each time, worth it 🤘😎
viper vs knight rider
Anda datang kesini karena anda mencarinya, bukan dari beranda UA-cam 😅
Seaquest dsv called. They want their cgi back.
Ok
Man.. american allways ahead
