    Excellent compilation of all important info. I agree you should publish a book with all this information. It is some background, though essential knowledge every gardener and bonsai enthousiast should learn. Thank you so much 🙏🏼💚

    I misread as 3.29, I was thinking that's a short video. This will take several viewings to watch in entirety.
    I'm lost on how tree's with no central nervous system can do any of the tasks you mention. How does the tree detect light levels and temperature and decide to slow chlorophyl production. I should have paid attention in school 😅😅😅😅😅
    Now only half hour in and WOW this is going to be AMAZING!!! Jason this is a masterpiece. I'll probably end up watching all in one go.

    Hi Jason
    Just a quick question what substrate do you use in the pond baskets is it just normal akadama or a combination of several.
    Only recently been a subscriber after watching your talk with Xavier on UA-cam videos from both of you are great 👍

    • @TheBonsaiGarden
      @TheBonsaiGarden  Місяць тому +1

      Thank you David. I am just using a typical free draining bonsai soil. In this case it is 1/3 Akadama, pumice and lava but could just as easily be any reasonably free draining soil mix.

    well, at least I have bonsai books that look just like your bonsai books. The trees are far from looking like your trees, but I will carry on. It's cold here tonight, 19 degrees F.
