    What a great relaxing trip. Nice you had a tent to separate you from that scary spider. Gee, that was big!

    Love how ya have a Fresca! Don't see that too often! And OMG, a Carmel Apple! Two of my favorites in things in life - lol! Excellent site you found there! As far as Kayaking songs, How About Proud Mary - Rollin' on the River! 😃

      UA-cam lets us see what is going on with other people to get a foot forward on our own trips. So I'm glad the stuff I'm learning as I do multiple little remote trips can help me and other people work it out for the future.

      @@RachelWhelton Have you ever camped on Hermit Island in Maine? They furnish photographs of each of their sites to show folks the layout. One of nicest camping experiences I’ve ever had, however, some of the sites are closer to each other than you might like.

    Loved the video. I have never taken my gear and gone kayak camping. You make it look easy. Love the suspense of the red cabin, the Loons and the huge spider. I would have worried about the spider chewing through my tent during the night. As always, you inspire! I loved the Waterbury trip too.
    Can't wait to see the next adventure!

    • @RachelWhelton
      @RachelWhelton  5 днів тому

      At 1 am I woke up for a bathroom break and saw the giant spider murdering another slightly less huge spider. I thought about trying to sweep him away but I feared he might be too quick and try to attack me. I decided he was probably not a people-eating type and left him alone.

    I have to say .... That is TOO MUCH WORK, for only a 1-nighter .... How is the knee coming along Rachel ?? (Walking those trails on "un-even" ground is actually a GOOD thing .... Helps to work and "strengthen your accessory muscles around your knee and ankle joints ) 👌👍👍👍😎😉

      You have a good point but I see all these trips as chapters in a book. I would rather have 10 one day trips than one 10 day trip. At least during this phase of life with family stuff going on. Maybe the future holds longer expeditions. I want to go to Alaska someday. And Norway. And Nova Scotia.

    GREAT VIDEO!!❤ I AM FROM LONG ISLAND NY and I am planning a camping trip to VT where can I find a place that has access to electricity in a tent campsite do you know of any?

    • @RachelWhelton
      @RachelWhelton  3 дні тому +1

      There are many campsites with "hookups." However that isn't my area of knowledge since I keep going to places without it. Even if you find everything you want to know on the campground website (for whichever campground you find), it is still wise to give them a call. Often they have extra information you never knew you wanted to know!
