I also got a drawing tablet earlier this month and I must say, it really improves the experience and the drawing itself. Before using the tablet, at least for me, I drew with a mouse, which felt more 'restricted' than using a pen. The tablet allows for more natural and flowy movements, so if you're a computer artist who uses a mouse, I do recommend getting a tablet of some sort.
