Jeff Scot Soto was born to sing kick ass metal music. It seems to be in his DNA. I do hope that he is STILL performing great music. I know that he had been in the Trans-Siberian Orchestra for a good while. The man is blessed with a great voice and great stage charisma.
Your mind swirls with terribly misconceived false beliefs. Alcatrazz failed after Yngwie split, even Steve Vai could not help it. Yngwie gave a venue for all of those singers to have some spotlight time. Keep in mind, Soto is a cover band here. The brilliance of this song is in the guitar melody. The guitarist is a wanker though and can't play the solo. He knows pentatonic runs only.
The mic needs more gain cuz he’s singing too hard. It’s great to see he still reaches all the notes for the hardest metal songs to sing in history. Mark Boals also can still sing these, arguably the best technique out there. But Jeff has the best tone. I’d love to see mark and Jeff tour together their own stuff and double duty some Malmsteen classics.
