fished in the reservoir stacks and can tell you the redfin are still in there just not as plentiful. curly tail zman grubs are the go I have found either pearl white or motor oil colors. in terms of cod lure selection I tend to stick to large top water glide baits that imitate a redfin as that's primarily the food source in the reservoir. as slow as possible retrieval with a pause every couple of meters seems to do the trick and generally fish early morning and late afternoon for best results. wicked video!!
@@auslifeandy was thinking you might be a chance for a Redfin with that lure! I’ve been throwing 80 - 110mm surface lures with pretty good success in HV
I always hook mine as soon as I look away too! On my first one at the ressie I looked at my dads lure for just a second and before I knew it I had a cod nearly snapping my rod! No better feeling. Awesome video mate loved it
this just proves how much a joke recfish and our govt are... stocking native fish in lakes where they have never existed, while totally ignoring their actual native habitat.

Great spot for cod. I've never caught a redfin unfortunately.
I'd assumed the cod had eaten all of them.
I thought you weren’t allowed to fish beyond the buoy line??
Permitted at the inlet mate not the other side of the res
