This coating is applied as a spray. It is a thicker coating for soda than for beer as soda actually degrades the coating faster. I have been in production facilities and seen this coating applied. I used to work for a company that made systems to control the colors being printed. You can also see it at 3:42 of this video ua-cam.com/video/V4TVDSWuR5E/v-deo.html.
Hard to do at home? Not really. Google "muriatic acid" in your area. Almost every large grocery store has it in stock. Use that to dissolve the aluminum. It forms aluminum chloride and dissolves the can in less than an hour (hydroxide is more expensive and doesn't even do the job as well). Just make sure to dilute your muriatic acid to at least a 5:1 water to muriatic acid dilution or you could create deadly gasses! I am a senior chemical engineering student. Be safe and have fun!
Put coke soda in a jar with a top. Put a nail in the jar, & it will start to eat away the metal. When transporting the coke 'ingredients' they have to ship it in special lined ships so the 'coke' doesn't destroy the ship!
Steve is a VERY COOL GUY!!! So how does the 'liner' get into the cans? What is the plastic made of & how do the chemicals effect our body's not to mention the 'soda'. Doesn't or isn't the 'soda' capable of destroying the liner of our stomach? You don't want to work where they make cans the smells from the chemicals are sickening. I worked for a short time at a can making plant in security & for some reson the police refused to work there. I'd have to call in & say I'm making rounds & I'd only have X amount of min to do the round or the cops would come automatically. That happened once when I caught a guy trying to leave in a truck with the huge roll of aluminum. I NEVER saw the bring in huge plastic wrap rolls on truck's EVER. How does the plastic get into the cans as a liner?
The acid in your stomach is far more potent than any of the acids found in any soda. That's why your stomach lining regrows so often, and why it produces stomach bile to cover the lining.
Soda pop. It can be called soda or pop or coke or a carbonated beverage. Their are many names for it. It comes down to where people grew up because everyone calls it something different. I just know what they mean because I have heard it called many different terms and I acknowledge that someone is craving a refreshing cold delicious beverage.
Wow, so we’re actually drinking out of plastic😂 glass bottles it is then from now on out!
microplastic is in every food and water.
And yes, that plastic does contains BPA.

Coors beer is the reason beer is out in a can. I wonder if they do this too
NANI!??!?
Yes it's sprayed on.
Fun fact, my great uncle invented that liner
Facts or nahh
So we're drinking soda out of condoms
this is the same reason one can desolve a body in a plastic barrel i.e. breaking bad

The liner starts as a liquid that is sprayed on.

Why is that girl standing there?
so why?
Exactly. They both ignored her to death
So we’re recycling plastic not cans
plastic lining gets removed during the recycle process.

That's a POP Can. Soda comes in boxes with an arm on the front.
As a Floridian......NO
It's soda, get over it.
