Putting my 2019 Mustang GT with a stage 2 Whipple supercharger up against a 2020 Hellcat Charger to see how much of a difference the switch to E85 ethanol has made on the car and its pretty significant had some transmission issues with the MT82 locking me out of gear that slowed me down for the rest of the runs but other than that the car ran really good and put the gap on the Hellcat! Anyways enjoy the footage let me know what you think I should do with the transmission!

If you think you’re fast you should see my friends , uncles , friends car who lives out of state. He doesn’t have social media because he races so much there is too much heat on him . He has never lost a race , he drives stage 4100 Sti with IAG block , rotated turbo and has 850 AWHP on a mustang dyno (ie the heartbreak dyno) running E85 Cobb flex fuel tuned on speed density.
I’m just fucking around , trying to sound like that guy we all know at car meets who took the bus there or rode in the back seat of his sisters neon. Love the content .

I've owned both a Supercharged s550 and Hellcat, and will keep my comfort and 4 doors, along with warranty and reliability. But cheers to a fast car!

i think he said he got the gt for 41k? 42k? otd? plus the whipple and tunes and exhaust id guess 55k could be 60k or more. really not to bad at all for how much car you get

@@tennysonjames2969 So it's not a hellcat "killer" considering hellcats can be had for just 49k right now, sad. AND he's having transmission issues because cars with this many mods are never as reliable as a stock hellcat and most stock cars with warranties.

I love Camaro ss drivers as much as mustang gt drivers lol. They always think their stock car is the fastest thing on the road. But that hellcat just needs a pulley swap to up the boost in the supercharger.

Its not the gearbox, get a blowfish mount. The factory shifter is mounted to the body. Blowfish mounts it to the transmission. Since I got the blowfish mount I havent had that problem. I'm NA but I shift at about 8k fbo with a cobra jet.
Have you looked at installing a gear lockout mod? There's a few out there that's supposed to eliminate it.

Hey rush! Just wanted to let you know the manual gts from 2011-2018 have been recalled for clutch failure and stuff urs being a 2019 idk if it’s the same

The hellcat is already supercharged that’s why it has 707 horsepower and this was a good race.

He said he was making 800 at the Crank. So to consider a 12 to 17% loss through the drivetrain he is killing it.

I hear that shift lockout is pretty normal. Check out Alejandro Flores's channel, he goes over it. Said it happens at high RPMs with quick shifts. Solution was a clutch if my memory serves me right.

Now put that hellcat on e85 and a tune and let me know how it turns out
And then give the mustang a 10r80...

I don't care what anybody says Tunes really help a lot my 5.7 wasn't race car fast but it was no slouch but with the 93 octane tune there's always a smile on my face while driving

Mt-82 is notorious for locking gears especially stock with a turbo or supercharger on it
By stock I mean stock transmission
I'd personally go with a new clutch first and then look at the transmission, but if you got the funds then do them both
Skip the headaches and get a twin disk clutch and pair it with a ben calimer built mt82. The stock clutch is STILL bad.

My MT82 was good up to about 15k miles, now it likes to lock me out 3rd to 4th. Frustrating as hell. Never had that problem with Tremec transmissions.
Unfortunately you have to granny shift these gearboxes. People have solved the problem by buying an aftermarket clutch though.
And they've been jacked up for years and ford never did anything

Be careful with that stock MT-82 trans, Rush. I've seen broken gates and linkages even on 2020 cars. Ford's known about this for a long time now. You're the only Ford guy I won't trash for gapping a Hellcat like that. Sideboo saved you from my wraith!🤣
Ahaha you know I have mad love for the Hellcat’s if I didn’t supercharge the Mustang I would have gotten one! But yes the MT 82 is a ticking time bomb can’t wait to get a better transmission in the car the TR6060 in the Boss feels soooo much better it’s not even comparable

Gt350 trans is just as weak although it shifts nice. The only upgrade is a tremec magnum or a billet mt82 from calimer
