I had the great fortune of meeting Mel Blanc when I was a front desk clerk at a hotel he stayed at back in the late ‘70’s. Very unassuming and polite man. If I remember correctly he could come and go as he pleased and nobody really noticed him. But I knew who he was and was thrilled to have him stay with us. As a kid I couldn’t wait for the cartoon characters he voiced on Saturday mornings.

Have there been any regrets in his career. But no. It's always the same. "Who's your favorite voice?" "What was your first voice"? This one is at least a little better.
