@@hikingoutdoorfamily I couldn't have done it without my highly-portable folding kayak! I'm sure people drag regular kayaks in, but I would not have wanted to, lol. Right before I hopped in, I noticed a sharp piece of slate sticking up vertically, which might have sunk my battleship, but I moved it.
@@charliejg the entrance doesn't look like much, and I'm sure I've seen similar impressions and passed them by. I was amazed at how it opened up from such a meager opening.
@@Terror0619 I did hear that... The water in the lake probably averages like 3' deep. I could see the bottom except when I was close to the brick wall.
Awesome place, all that stacked slate is a testament of a lot of hard work. Thanks for filming this.
That has to be the most unique spot anyone has ever gone with a folding kayak. Really neat to see that footage.

Used to love exploring this cave when we were younger - always wondered what it was like out on the lake! Great video!
That was actually called the icebox
Great video! I’ve never thought to kayak in there ! Thanks for sharing!!
Interesting place... I've been to the entrance, but never inside. Thanks for taking us along!

That was pretty neat...looking at the roof over the lake and imagining all that slate being cut out...
Looked fun, thanks for sharing
Nice cave. Looked like an interesting but fun time.

Pretty wild cool video 👍
WHOA!!! I never knew this existed in Slatington! I'm gonna have to check it out this year. 🤘
Actually, I think I might take a pass on that cave. I believe the police found a body in there yesterday. It's in the local news.
Your video made the local news!
Come to the caves in Akron NY! You’re not really supposed to, but I can tell ya how to get there 😉😄

Used to go to this cave every weekend with my buddies like 10 years ago. They just found a dead body in there this week

Those numbers in the cave are from the show LOST. Great troll graffiti
