Hiya eileen. Thanks for watching this very early video of the channel. Appreciate you wonderful comment and glad you gained some insight into Singapore coinage. Cheers and happy coin collecting 😊✌🏻
Honestly, the bird series looks the goofiest (Especially the higher denomination banknotes)and the best one is the ship series (Especially the 50 dollar)
Hiya Coins898. Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion. This is a very very early video of the channel. I still like the premise behind it and think the Singapore dollar coin has gone thru an interesting evolution. Certainly gives us collectors something to hunt for! Cheers buddy and happy collecting 😊✌🏻
Your coin collection is just so neatly set up. Your collection and knowledge about them are both equally impressive. I always thought that the Merlion is such an imposing and grand figure. Well presented, great vid.
Awww tDA! Thank you for watching and for sharing the awesome compliment. You have a great channel too 👍🏻👍🏻 I always found it strange the first series coins, with the lion design, are commonly referred to as Merlion coins 😂 cheers and have a good day 😊
Hi George! Thank you so much for watching and sharing such an awesome comment. Am really happy you found the video informative. Cheers and have a great weekend my friend 👍🏻😀
Hi G’ma. Thank you again for watching and for sharing the awesome compliment. I really love getting those!! 👍🏻👍🏻 Btw you chose a great new channel name! Cheers! 😊
Hiya Puppji. Thanks for watching this very early video of the channel. Glad you enjoyed the presentation and thank you for the suggestion. I will certainly look into creating more content on Singapore coinage! Cheers ✌🏻😊
That’s awesome Briones. Yeah Singapore coins do make a nice collection. Be extra careful when you handle the bimetallic coins, the brass oxidizes very easily. They are also rather soft so dings and bag marks are usually present along the edge. Cheers and have a great day my friend 👍🏻😊
Great Singapore $1 series. I have coins from three series, But I dont have the earlier $1, Just the 5c and 10c. I have the complete set of second and third series coins. Great review
Check with you, From numista shows (1998 ~ 2002 ) there are few million coin minted but cannot find it in the open (circulate). I get from Ang Bao set.
You are correct boltmix21. I have found some coins in the 1998-2004 range but they are not very common. The coins I seem to find the most are 1997s. That being said, the periwinkle coins are getting scarcer and scarcer nowadays. Cheers and thank you for your query bm21…😊👍🏻
Hey Eugene. I done know much about this belief but I did hear something along those lines before. It appears the aluminium-bronze periwinkle coins are often associated with this. There were some consternation among the people here when these were withdrawn in favour of the new bimetallic coins. Hope this answers your query. Cheers and thank you for posting your question 👍🏻😊
Hey Eugene. Thank you for watching and sharing your comment. I got the capsules from a seller on the Carousell app. These are inexpensive ones from China. You can find better quality ones from nearly all the coin stores. Typically they are made by Air Tites or by Leuchtturm. Hope that answers your query. Thank you for posting the question. Cheers 👍🏻😊
Hiya ongernie7216, yes! the periwinkle design looks the best amongst these Singaporean coins. Glad you caught this very early video of the channel. Cheers and happy coin collecting ✌🏻😊
Hiya Mohd. Thanks for watching and posting your query. I’m no expert but as far as I know, the Singapore 1988 periwinkle coin was minted in huge numbers so it’s common coin. The 1988 is however regarded as a auspicious or good luck coin, and you can sometimes see sellers offering them for religious purposes. I’d seen a few listings and many of these coins have been polished, thus destroying their numismatic value. Hope that helps. Do checkout the Numista links in he video description if you’d like to learn more. Cheers and happy collecting ✌🏻😊
Hi Meashep! Thank you so much for watching and for sharing such an awesome comment. Really appreciate the support and encouragement. Am gonna checkout you channel too. Cheers and have a great weekend! 👍🏻😀
Hiya. Thanks for watching and posting your query. Please check with local dealers for their pricing for your coins. You can also check eBay sold listings for current values as well. Hope that helps. Cheers and best wishes ✌🏻😊
Hiya Cielo. Thanks for watching the video and posting your query. Value of the S$1 1968 depends largely on condition. I would give a broad estimate of S$8-10. You may want to check eBay sold listings for the realized selling price. Hope that helps. Cheers and have a nice weekend 😊👍🏻
Hiya JB. Thanks for watching and sharing your query. All the coins you listed are common coins with high mintages so they are only worth their face value. Checkout Numista or eBay sold listings for more information. Cheers and have a great week ahead 😊👍🏻
Hiya Santos. Thanks for watching and posting your query. I’m not into selling coin so dun have the experience to share. Perhaps you’d like to try your local coin stores or eBay. Do let us know how it works out for you. Best wishes and happy stacking ✌🏻😊
Hiya ds. Thanks for watching and sharing your comment. Not really sure what you meant. For the 2013, there are 2 different types of dollar coins. A regular bimetallic and a aluminium-bronze periwinkle. The latter was only issued in sets and much more collectable. Hope the information helps. Cheers 👍🏻😊
Hiya joike. Thanks for watching and sharing your comment. Bagus anda ada duit syilling ini! 😊 Terima kasih menonton video ini kawanku dan selamat sejastera ya 😊👍🏻
