- Featuring Fafnir, one of the two main characters of my upcoming illustrated book The Rooted and the Winged, to be released April 2025!
This animatic is just a glimpse into his story. Also, I couldn't help myself at the end, haha. The hubby voice-acted this for me, and when he said that last bit, I just had to get him to record it so I could draw it.

Thank you!! The story is from a book I've already written & am now busy illustrating, that will released in April next year. I can't wait to share it with you!
In the meantime here's a rough blurb I've written to give you the broad picture of the story:
Fafnir is a faerie with immortal blood in his veins; blood he would do almost anything to protect.
Esen is a dryad, fearful that the forest will die before her sister will get a chance to walk by her side.
Together, they must find a way to stop the destruction of their home before it’s too late.
But Fafnir has a dark secret. A secret even Esen doesn’t know.
His guilt may consume him, Esen, even the very forest itself.
But he has to risk it all.
