As a Tudor watch owner I can say that yes…. They are bulky, austere, simple, heavy, unrefined and sometimes their wrist presence is felt throughout the day … but exactly for these reasons (and ofc other positive ones 😂) I love them! ❤
No waiting list on the Harrods BB at the moment!!! Visited today to get on the waiting list and they are holding a huge bulk stock! Obviously walked away with one and I’m super happy. Yes it’s an absolute chunk however, having presence isn’t a bad thing when it looks as good as it does! Get yourselves to Harrods!
Another great video, thanks. The simplicity and subtlety of Tudor designs is what draws me to their watches. Far from looking sterile, under-designed or cheap, their design language gives them a timeless look -- they will age with grace. Unlike too many watches currently in the market, they are not overdone, or in any way blingy-flashy, which gives them a quiet tool watch classiness that most other brands lack. When Tudor uses color, they remain consistent to their design language by using earth-tones (unless reaching back to the 70's for inspiration), coming up with shades of blue, green and red that seem to have been pulled directly from the ground, from an individual plant, or the Mediterranean Sea -- as you said, they exude a warmth -- a palette that one might see in 17th Century Dutch paintings. Size-wise, I definitely do agree that, beyond their BB58 line, their watches are too chunky, especially too tall, at least for my 17cm wrist, while the size of the 58s is pure perfection. With the cases and bracelets, I imagine that Big Daddy Rolex carefully modulates Tudor's "elegance factor" in order to differentiate the brands, to draw a distinction between them for a variety of reasons -- to avoid redundancy, justify the price points, etc. If the Tudor attributes are troubling to a buyer, Rolex is there to make it all better, so long as you have the $$$ and, unless you're Roger Federer, the patience.
I have this watch and I love it. It was no hassle to buy as I live in the UK and my call from Harrods luckily came just before I was due to visit London anyway. I also own the no date submariner, and I can say that I prefer the Harrods Tudor. It just looks nicer.
I’ve owned my Harrods edition for little over two years now and you make some great points that I can only agree with! Owning the Harrods edition has def been worth the hassle of the waiting list and the physical pick up - which indeed adds to the emotional value. My Harrods has had way more wrist time than I ever imagined as it has become my daily beater!
I have a Harrods BB, it’s beautiful. One need not travel to the UK if one has relatives or friends there, they could pick it up for you. The way I received mine. The newer ones now come with a bi-color lume, Blue indices, Green hands, confirmed with another September 2022 owner . ✌🏼
I literally got the BB58 online, thought it was too small, returned it and got the Black Bay 41mm, thought it was too chunky, and went for the BB58 again. 🙄 btw, I love the your GMT on the Forstner jubilee bracelet. I bought one for my BB58 and I think too many people criticize buying an aftermarket bracelet when some watches look great aesthetically but don’t have great bracelets.
Well, now I just bought one ON LINE on the Harrods website and will be delivered this week! What does that mean? There will be a NEW Harrods watch. I disagree about the McDonald’s watch comparison. Bark & Jack channel shows the new automated Tudor factory. I expect better things from them!
@@BraveBeaters no, I think the value of the watch will double in 10 yrs. They are closing this model out, not continuing it. How do I know? I bought it for $3700+ delivered to the US. A definite closeout “dump.” I expect the same for the bronze Bucherer.
I did not continue watching the video, despite its likely quality, because I could barely understand the language; the piano playing in the foreground was too prominent, which I found distressing.
More like a Turd(or) than a Tudor to me. My Doxa Sub 300t has 1200m wr, 14mm height (without a vertical slab on the case), 46 lug to lug, looks better and costs half of this BB.
@@BraveBeaters I'm not surprised. They are great watches. Maybe lacking in-house movement but otherwise great and easy to service. I personally own the 300t in a Divingstar color scheme and considering adding the shark hunter (the color owned by Cousteau himself). Very comfortable on the beads of rice bracelet with a new diver's extension.

So cool about the new lume colors!
Your videos always have amazing quality. Always a joy to watch
Thank you :)
I’m booked in to collect mine in 2 weeks. Still going to take one final look at the GMT as I’m only 99% on the Harrods.
Get the harrods! You can always pick up a GMT ;) (just to “help” you a bit more: both can definitely coexist in the same collection)
I really like the color way on this one, but the size not so much. Congrats on the new camera, your videos are top notch brother!
Agree with you bro, superb color, wrong sizing
What a fun, dynamic, and educational video. Thanks
I thinnk you are right, it is too thick but I see it as a first iteration as they perfected the design with the BB58 later on .
Is the bb58 perfect? :D
@@BraveBeaters The proportions are spot on. So they got that right. It has a lot going for it being very popular. Of course no watch is perfect
@@MrGaberacer the only perfect watch is … the one you haven’t bought yet … :)
I just wish they release a Black Bay 58 Harrods edition. This will be perfect!
Probably they will :)

haha, same here, I think, still the 58 offers a great compromise, size wise. As for Forstner, I think the quality of their bracelets is very good!
Thinking about to get mine soon. :)
Super video thanks. Sound needs work however, closer mic, less echo. Keep the great material coming!
Thank you, I will take care of it, it slipped this time with echo
hi, where did you find a jubilee bracelet for your BB?? ;)
Great review !!! Spot on in all aspects.. 👌
Great video. I’ve had mixed feelings on the Black Bay until recently with the new GMT. Love to hear your thoughts on that
Which gmt? The pro? That one looks good in my opinion. But the case is super unbalanced.
@@BraveBeaters yes the Black Bay Pro
aside from the watch, what e-notebook are you using?
Lol. It's the remakable 2
Now it’s available online shop globally, waiting is key

Yes :( they ruined it's value retention. I am honestly expecting from them as well, better tailored watches. That's why I bout the bb54.

I disagree that this means there will be a new Harrods watch. Rolex also bought Bucherer this year, so they could sticking to only Bucherer collabs.
@@jameskikuoka4863 did you pay duties and tax on arrival? Just purchased online as well being shipped to Canada as we speak.
great review. love that green rubber strap. whats the brand? thx!
There’s no wait to this watch anymore. And they ship to America now.
Whats the strap at 5:03? Looks great!

What change to this 2022 blackbay and 2023 green blackbay are the same watch ?
Does anyone know where the Harrods production is at? Will it pass 10.000 pieces?
10300+ and counting
I wonder when they’ll discontinue it. I know harrods has 12k lights that adorn the building so maybe it’ll cap then 😉
Gotta disagree with the proportions.
I really love the weight and size if this watch... I think its perfect
Hello! I just purchased this online from Harrods directly this weekend! Where is your rubber green strap from? would love to own one.
You will have to be quick as I was in harrods last week and they confirmed to me it will be discontinued at the end of the year! 2023
really?
i am a fully paid up member of the > AnythingButBB58 < club
I love the least (not to say hate :) ) the bb58s…
Lovely
Nice video.
What brand of your gmt bracelet? How much
165 USD
Forstner jubilee
thank you Assistant :)))))

I will never play this "exclusivity game". I'm free market enthusiast so that means that everyone's money has the same value.

How to compare doxa & tudor , it's like Ford and Bentley so stupid
