Great looking car . The reason I searched it is . Driving down the highway. Goin 80 mph . One of this beauty passed me . Go in at least 120mph . And I realize it was love at first sight ""
Brilliant. This type of review is way better than the staged, scripted and rehearsed reviews that are splattered across UA-cam. Keep your videos like this, it's like riding with a friend that's proud to show you their new toy. Love it.
Nice job from a real owner. Great insight. Own a Maserati as well. Definitely true about the perception of them. General public see them as exotic. Personally love their rarity and flair. Pace and Grace.
targa florio Well said and you just did a much better job articulating that point than I did in my video. I might do a follow up video with a few more things I've noticed in the next few weeks. Thanks again for the feedback.
I really appreciate your honesty. You pointed out what you liked and the little downsides(backseat space for example) of this car. It was enlightening to hear about the attention an owner can get because of a car. The one thing I took from you (as inspiration) is that one should be proud of the car one drives. I'm looking forward to your other vlog.
Gerard Beaubrun I really appreciate the feedback. Looking back on the video, there was 20 things I easily could have done better but maybe next time. And it seems like as I get older the less attention I want. When I was young and single, attention from a car was everything! Now...not so much. lol
Nick Pappas I really think that more can be said about any product. Usually reviews are made during the first encounter with a product. Don't you think there would be value in doing a "Impression of that same product 6 months after." Would the feedback be good or simply constructive that something that companies can take and use in their advertisement, sales pitch or simply better themselves. Let us know when you drop a new product demo. Interestingly, I use production demo/reviews of things I want as visualization and inspiration for the things I want to work towards and aspire to own. That doubles my appreciation for what you do. Be well!
Sweet car Nick. We also have a Maserati Ghibli S Q4 in Brown with brown and black leather. They have awesome exhaust notes don't they? I'll be posting a video soon
You come across perfectly well, I learnt more about the essence of a good car than some of those overblown professional motor shows. One slip about the clock, this is Maseratis famous signature touch, not to be compared with whatever Porsche Panamera had, I just respect it, and move on, enough said.
Love that you went with the Maser Nick, absolutely stunning car. I love it! This car seems to get a lot of hate, personally I like that it's not your average 5 series/E class. I love the sound as well, it is just an all around beautiful Italian machine. Excellent vlog thoughts. Thumbs up! -HP
Hi Nick, greetings from Germany, I got a Maserati SQ4 in white. I have to say it is the most fun car I have ever driven. It is not as perfect as a Porsche or BMW, Audi or Mercedes .. but so much fun to drive. I had the choice between a M6 Grand Coupe and the Maserati and I took the Maserati
Nick Pappas I don't know if you remember but I was against this car from the start because of its limited horsepower and price. But I drove the Mercedes C63S AMG, Jag F-Type R, and The Corvette Z06 which are much more responsive and powerful, but the charisma and looks of the Maserati was much too overpowering after seeing it up close in person and driving it. So, I bought one immediately just a few days ago.
+THE SOOTHSAYER that's awesome. Best of all is after a few weeks (and I've heard this has happened to other Ghibli owners) you're car sounds like it starts in sports mode. Another words when I start it up in the morning it literally sounds like a race car. Sick! Enjoy it man!
Nick Pappas I always leave my car in manual and sports mode all together, from the moment I start it up to placing it in park for the evening at the end of the day. Any other mode would be an insult to this car. The only problem with it is that the heavy exhaust sound revs set off several of my neighbor's car alarms...They get pissed off but I just laugh at them and step on the gas even more... Before I got the Ghibli, I did test drive a 2016 Corvette Stingray Z06 here where I live for awhile, and the neighbors really went nuts with the 650 HP exhaust sound of that car... The Jaguar F-Type R also has a really obnoxious sounding exhaust that I used here in the neighborhood. They hated that car too. I say screw the jealous bastards. They should be happy with my loud exhaust, so they can't hear their wives screaming at them over the loud noise.
Details that make this a superb car. Look at these 3 things: 1. The 3 "squares" in the headlamps 2. The 3 ventilation grids in the side: they are the same, right? 3. And the door handles, same shape. This is why Italians have a touch in style that others can only dream.
hopefully you figured out by now but when you open your trunk you actually have a subwoofer back there. the metal part hanging in the trunk is its magnet.
I appreciate and did figure everything out. The stereo system and more importantly the subwoofer needed a software/firmware update from Maserati. Once that was done, it sounded great!
I own a Ghibli and regarding the park assist loud beeping you can easily turn the noise down with the volume control on the back of the steering wheel (right hand side), hope this helps :)
Great Vlog post. It's nice to hear a real opinion of the car from an actual owner who has had real-world experience with other comparables. It's strange that there are zero professional comparison reviews of the Ghibli and the obvious competitor the 5-series in terms of side-by-side track and normal driving scenarios. Have you had a 5-series to offer your thoughts between the two? Also, maybe too early to tell, but do you plan to lease-to-own, or will switch out after the lease is up? if you could "keep" a car from your past history of similar to the Ghibli, which one would it be?
Brian Westfield Good questions Brian. I have not owned a 5 series although I know they are beautiful cars..especially M5's. As far as the Ghibli I probably will not do a lease to own. This is the first car I've leased as I usually buy but I realize that after 3-4 years I usually get the itch and that's why I leased this time. In terms of what car would I keep? To this day a 911 was my favorite car I've ever owned. I also loved the Panamera so that's a tough one. :)
Nick, had my S Q4 for a YEAR now and i still love it. I liked the Panamera 4S but not the look of it. I round the skyhook suspension kind of handy to pass speed bumps faster. I also like mine with shifting palets because the gear selector and trigger switch got a small delay to it. Took 20 inch wheels to fit winter tires 6 months a year, Switzerland is not Florida. Took a dark Brown interior and dark platinum grey plaint with black brakes. My only problem has been a plastic plug missing in the truck and a small hood adjustment. Note there is a small 2 inch trap below the center of the driver's carpet with a red strap behind..Do not know what it does..Maybe it cuts fuel or power or both. Will ask my dealer. Best regards and congratulations for the car and video. Regards
It has been reliable but that’s not to say I haven’t had a few minor problems which I have. Sometimes the AC and the computer is glitchy and my ac broke the first day I got the car. But all relatively minor issues.
Panamera outperforms Ghibli in many ways, but Gibli just KILLS it with it's design. The Maserati car we get for free. It's a design we pay for. And it worth every penny. That's how I feel about it :-)
I drive a Porsche 991s and Porsche cayenne and was looking at getting the ghibli for my third car. This video was very helpful. I gotta have my music I'm gonna check to see if that can upgraded. If not I'm going with the panamera . Thanks a lot for doing the video ,since you owned a Porsche panamera I value your opinion.
The music system just needed an update. It was fixed with a software update. So don't let the music issue have any bearing on your decision. Good luck!
Johnny Appleseed, it's not letting me reply to your question. Touch screen is great. A light touch does the trick and it works great. No issues there whatsoever.
+Nick Pappas Does it bother you that you have to always press the I agree? And also I honestly think this is a beautiful car, but driving day to day it would bother me. Like you said, you are buying this car for the engine, for the fun of driving...
+Weasel4Fun You hit the nail right on the head. Pushing the "I agree" button multiple times a day, drives me crazy. Like you said, love the car, but these little multiple little quirks definitely drive me nuts.
How is the radar detector setup? Are you able to get good detection mounted on the left? How is it powered? Looking forward to your follow-up! Also - they did out power trunk with foot sensor for '16.
Hi Brian. I had my Passport 9500 removed from my old Panamera and hard wired into the Ghibli. The shop said it was a fairly simple job and they charged me around $120. The placement actually has worked out extremely well and it seems to pick up radar extremely. My only gripe is its facing down a little too much and kind of looks awkward from the drivers seat. I need to find something to angle the front of it up a little. Besides that I think it's a perfect spot for it. I know "they" say the best spot for radar detectors is up high near the visors but I never liked the way that looks and it's been working great thus far.
Brian J. Brian, so you're saying they added a foot sensor power trunk for the 2016s? They needed too. For a car this price it should have a power trunk.
I’m debating on getting one but I’ve been eyeing an E63 AMG. I’ve seen these super cheap tho! I have a chance to get a black on black for $22k with only 20k miles on it! It is a 2014!
Beautiful car! 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. 406 h.p. Drive train built in Ferrari factory. Go 10 miles over the speed limit on the highway and the car bings and notifies you on the message center that you're exceeding the speed limit. The notification replaces your current speed on the console. Nice.
Hey Nick, Congratulations on your new car. I was wondering how dark your window tint was? I was planning to tint the windows on my Q4 too. I liked how your car looks with the tint but didn't want to go too dark. Thanks
Nandan Chirumamilla Thanks a lot. So I just called my tint guy and he did 18% tint and used Suntek (which is equivalent to a ceramic tint). Hope that helps and good luck!
Nick Pappas So.....you welcome any feedback...lol Since it appears you're big money over there, can you share the wealth...Quattroporte S Q4 I'll take it in black..lol...Any case Nick nice nice vlog.
Thanks for sharing. Is your audio the standard or premium? I just ordered a 2016. They admitted the "premium" is on par with most standard and the B&W is on par with most "premium". Ended up going with B&W despite it's seemingly unreasonable price.
Brian, I was actually going to call them and ask them because I was told I have the premium stereo package. Again I'm definitely not an Audio expert but it just sounds way below average. The stereo on my Panamera was much better. I'll call them next week and will update you with what I'm told because I want specifics on what exact audio package I have. Again thanks for watching and feel free to ask any questions.
Nick Pappas There is a software update that should help a bit with audio. When the car first came out, they had rattling from the subwoofer in the back parcel shelf. As an update, they started to use Dynamat and lowered the bass levels. From what I heard, their bass level adjustment was a bit too much - and they'd recently re-adjusted it. I think this may apply only for the premium audio.
Nick I know it’s been a while since you made this video. Looking back which car did you prefer the Ghibli or the Panamera and which would you recommend? Thanks from the UK 🇬🇧
How are you tango? Hope you’re well. Both were great but I’d have to say the Panamera. The Ghibli was great but not polished enough compared to the Panamera of that makes sense. Hope that helps!
It'd be cool if Maserati's came with a leather or metal band that could attach to the clock above radio and such and that the cover above it could be pushed down to hide away the gap from where the clock was. Of course the shape of the clock would need to be altered slightly.
Nick, my first car was a 2013 Range Rover Sport, I can honestly say it's such a head-turner and grabs the attention from probably everyone that comes across me at the stop lights. It's been 2 years, and I'm thinking about switching to a 2014 Porsche Panamera turbo, would that be good or should I just stick with the rover for a little while more.. BTW, Love the Ghibli, my father drives one as well.. Thanks.
Great question but that's a tough one for me because they're completely different automobiles. I love Range Rovers and think they're all class and a great SUV. That being said, the Panamera Turbo is pretty sick itself and will get up and go! I'm sure they both turn heads and get plenty of attention. So stick with the Range if you're happy with it as, again, it's a beautiful car. But if you miss "driving" a fast car and are looking for that sporty feel then the Panamera Turbo will be perfect. So to sum it up, if you love all luxury then keep the Range. If you're looking for a Sport Luxury feel with lots of power but not the same comfort level as the Range, then go Panamera Turbo. Both great options. Good luck and enjoy!
Hey nick, what made you choose the ghibli over the quattroporte. It seems like the quattroporte would be a better competitor to the panamera. i also heard it solves the rear legroom problem that the ghibli has.
Good question. I sat it one and test drove it and you're definitely right...it's more comparable to a Panamera including the room with the back seats. It's an amazing car but honestly I didn't want to spend $110k +. Also, I don't have kids yet so figured I have one more opportunity to get a "smaller" car before I'll definitely need the room back there. Again I love the Ghibli, but my favorite car Ive owned is probably a 911. Such a perfect car. Just need something a little bigger right now and I'm loving the Ghibli. You thinking of getting a Quattroporte?
Hello a question regarding your choice of AWD. Do you live in a warm climate and if so why did you choose the AWD option? Was it part of a package? Does it handle better? Before trading in your Porsche did you look at cars like Tesla or Aston Martin? Nice video but the quick camera motions are a little distracting. Tripod and editing for next vid perhaps? But overall a nice video and thank you for sharing.
+Nelson Cheung You are correct in saying it was part of a package. They had one on hand that was the color and had some options I wanted...it was the AWD model...but they gave me a good deal on it so I went for it. You're right in saying that in Florida we don't really need it, but sometimes with all of out rain, it's nice to have. I would have bought the non AWD model but am glad I went with the one I did. I did look at a Tesla but not an Aston Martin (which are gorgeous). I honestly just wanted a change from my Panamera, even though I loved it. But didn't want higher payments, etc. So the good deal they gave me on Ghibli was the main reason I went with it. If a Tesla, Aston & Ghibli we're all the same price, I would have definitely done a lot more research on which to choose. Overall, I'm really happy with my choice. And thanks for the great tips for video aspect of it. When I watch the video again, I see 20 things I could have and should have done differently. I also never thought I'd have 70,000+ views. If I did I definitely would have been more careful. lol
I rimmed the car also traveling through a drive thru restaurant. I used silver paint on a rag to hide the scratches. It worked well. Also, I haven't been pulled over by the cops for 25 years; but after getting this car in December I've been stopped nine times. What about you, Nick; are you having the same problem?
When I first seen the interior of 6th Gen Maserati's I wasn't a fan at all...I'm starting to like it now, I like the interior of my 5th gen Quattroporte...currently debating if I should pick up a 09/10 Gran Turismo 4.7 or a '14 '15 Ghibli with a similar color combo to the one in the video.
308beatZ I love the Quattroporte's...so congrats on an amazing car. I do love the black/red/carbon fiber combo. That's honestly the first thing everyone comments on when seeing the car.
Nice car Nick. Im looking at that along with a few others. Im disappointed to hear the sound system doesnt work well. Did you ask Maserati what the issue is?
Michael Little Hi Michael. The sound issue has been resolved. They just needed to re-program or update the amplifier and now it sounds as good as any other system. Plenty of base. Hope that helps and good luck!
Just got a black ghibli. Not Q4. Stereo very upsetting. Got 21 inch wheels - same as yours. Black on black. I'm wondering if I can get the remote start. Currently not on my remote? Otherwise a really fun car. Needs woofer bad.
Congrats. Definitely take the car to the dealer. They'll reprogram the amplifier and you'll have plenty of base after. Mine sounds great now. Not sure about adding the remote start. Let me know how it goes and again congrats!
Nick, take your car in and have them do a campaign update, then adjust the amp from 7 db to 10 db. Email me if you have any questions. It's a NIGHT and DAY difference. My sound system sounds great. 2015 S Q4 here. Here's the problem, the "regular" premium upgrade stereo(harman kardon) is the same one they put in the Quattroporte. Once installed in the Ghibli, it was over powered and caused the rear panels to vibrate. So rather than fix the insulation, they simply turned down the bass. hey may need to fix the insulation in your car, I'm not sure. But DON'T settle until they fix it. I ASSURE you, the stereo sounds much better after the fix. As it sits now, you essentially have no bass in the car.
Dr. Justin Snyder I appreciate the info! I'm having them pick the car up tomorrow and will make sure they do what you mentioned. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again!
If they don't f fix it right, have your sales rep call mine. His name is Mike Wester, at Maserati of Naperville. Mike is beyond dialed in and will help you find someone to get the car right.
The only take on the Ghibli is they put in it Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep screen ,, pretty basic and same as in Durango or Charger or 300C .. Maserati is high end cars they should've had something of their own not something borrowed after the merge with Chrysler .. Other than this it's an awesome ride ..
I love my S Q4 Brandon, this car get more looks than a Benz. Has an unmatched Exotic look and the SOUND is just amazing. I love going Manuel and Sport with the Paddle Shifters on the wheel. FUN. 😎 hope this helps ya.
Ask your dealer for details. But typically you can lease the car for 2-4 years. It keep your payments lower than normal and you have a certain amount of miles you can use per year. At the point the lease is up you just turn it in and don't have to worry about selling it, etc. Its a good option if you like switching cars every 3-4 years and want to keep your payments lower.
Great review thank you. My Ghibli is on the way. From what I was told there is a way to change the parking assist setting so it doesn't beep as loud. Were you able to fix that?
Congrats on the new car! My lease was up and I just got a Tesla so I’m answering this off of memory. From what I remember you can change the volume of the parking assist. The problem I had with it was, it was way too sensitive. Couldn’t drive through Starbucks without it constantly going off. So I ended up shutting it off. That was one of the little quirks my Ghibli had but it was no problem forgetting them once you feel and hear that engine roar. Enjoy it!
I appreciate it. Also be sure to check on my follow up video on the Ghibli as well. It gives a little more info I left out of this review. Link is in the description. Thanks again.
Why doesn't your car have the fixed paddles on the back of the steering wheel? Is there a package that needs to be selected? I'm thinking about checking one of these out next. I'm cross shopping this, an ATS-V, and Range Rover Sport Supercharged.
Wishnutama Kusubandio I love the Ghibli and it's an amazing car. The best way I can compare the 2 is by stating the Ghibli is more raw, a little more of a sports car and thus has a few quirks (minor quirks) they need to shore up in the future. Panamera, is a little less raw and has a little more of a luxury sports car feel to it. Both are amazing! Good luck deciding.
ninteentwenty I appreciate it. I think the numbers you mentioned sound pretty much inline with what I heard. I was told the sticker price on the one I got was $91,000k and with $5K down got it for around $700 per month give or take. So based on my experience, I think you're getting a good deal. Good luck!
Hey Nick, Great video, one day I will have my own maserati when my company is big enough! Quick question, what is that passport radar detector? And why is it seated there?
Well said! Work hard and I'm sure you're dream car won't be far behind. I had my Passport 9500 removed from my old Panamera and hard wired into the Ghibli. The shop said it was a fairly simple job and they charged me $120 or something. The placement actually has worked out extremely well and it seems to pick up radar extremely well where it's placed. My only gripe its facing down a little too much and kind of looks awkward from the drivers seat. I need to find something to angle the front of it up a little. Besides that I think it's a perfect spot for it. I know "they" say the best spot for radar detectors is up high near the visors but I never liked the way that looks. Thanks and I hope that answers your question. Good luck and am looking forward to seeing your review of one when you get it. :)
So far the Model x has been great. That being said it definitely has its issues and mine has been in the shop a few times. I still love it but they need to improve in that area. I’m planning a 1 year review...good and bad...here soon. So stay tuned. 👍
How's the maintenance on this? I thought that people saying that an oil change was $500 we're not doing it themselves. Can I do it myself? Have you had an issue with it going into limp mode? How has reliability been? I'm eyeing a 2015 SQ4 with 25k miles. Thanks
What do you think about it now that it has been a few years, are you glad you bought it? Did it have problems or cost a lot to maintain? Does it rattle shake or squeak?
So I don’t have the Maserati any more. I liked it a lot and thought it was a beautiful car. But it definitely was raw and needed some “finishing” to make it great. I would give it 3-4 years and I’m sure they will correct those issues. 👍
Engine definitely sounds better than Panamera. I cross shopped both cars but went with Panamera mainly because Maserati dealer was hard to deal with. They wouldn't budge on price said they could take couple grand off SQ4 by swapping out the rims with a regular Ghibli etc.. I mean what was next taking couple seats out to save more $$?
+andy993 I agree with you as both are great cars. Ghibli is definitely more raw compared to the Panamera and the Panamera is def more of a sport luxury car...in my opinion of course. You like the Panamera? They're amazing cars. Enjoy it!
Ya, ours is a 2013 non-S white on black with the 20" Turbo II rims. Looks amazing but I miss having a high reving Italian Exotic. Used to have a 2000 F360 Modena which I traded out eventually for an '05 Continental GT. Prob just as fast but quiet as hell. Definitely not raw by any means! LOL
A friend of mine has one. It is easily the noisiest, roughest riding car for the money you can get. There is a lot of clunking in the drive train - but I will admit that the overall performance and braking is fantastic.
tell the hmnnetwork my dad has a 09 range rover sport v8 and has manuel sport it has a refrigirator in it and you can make it go and down i love your ghibli ferrari interior
Lolman240 I appreciate it. I have a Escort Passport 8500. Works great. I've heard the new Passports are even better but this 8500 works just great. Here's a link: www.escortradar.com/passport8500x50/?gclid=Cj0KEQjwrJ2tBRD13N7T5u7k9I8BEiQA5APAAMue7_hrWNj8XRan0ZKfJDtXlqt1Jbk5svWsyScGD7oaAm4g8P8HAQ
+Nick Pappas I have valentine One I like the way you installed your passwort. Did you hardwired it? I didnt see any wires from there. Any tips on that how you did it?
+Selvakumar Jaganathan they say the Valentines are still the best. I had mine hard wired by a shop. Literally took it to an auto audio shop and $60 later they had it hardwired. Good luck.
Thinking about leasing this car nick do you have any idea how much I'm from Los Angeles and I have seen lease specials at 600 a month 10,000 miles a year 5,500 down for the ghibli. however I came across a ghibli owner at a gas satin and he said its all b.s. That it's more like 900-950 If that's the case I rather go m4 or amg c63
+Angelo Terrones I guess it would also depend on what model you get. I think I've seen deals in that $700 range for about $5K down...but would think its not for the AWD model. So I think you're pretty correct in what you're thinking. Good luck.
Hey nick how much are they for lease I live in la and they advertise 699 a month but then I ran into a ghibli owner and he said its all b.s. It's more like 995 a month can you tell me what you are paying please thank you
+Angelo Terrones For $699 you would have to put at least something down and get a great deal. I think the $700-$900 range is pretty realistic with a little something down. I think you're pretty close to what I've seen....
Hey Nick all my Greek uncles drive Mercedes big surprise huh? Would you say Maserati does it better than BMW and Mercedes? And which do you like better the Panorama or the Maserati?
lol...I know a lot of Greeks that drive Black Mercedes. It's hard to say...I think my Maserati is an amazing vehicle but it's not nearly as polished as a BMW or Mercedes or Porsche. It's more of a raw sports car. Where I think you can call BMW, Mercedes and Porsche's luxury sport cars...if that makes any sense.,
deadjasonfan That's a tough one. I would say if he's looking for more of a raw sports car...then go Maserati. If he's looking for more of a luxury car...then go 7 series. If he's looking for something in between (Sport/Luxury) then go Panamera.
He wants a Porsche Panamera S , he is a big fan of Porsche and the 918. also my mom doesn't like sports cars but it is luxurious , not as luxurious as the Mercedes S class but can do it , Thanks!
I'll be doing a follow up vlog on the car here soon. I also found out I have a faulty amplifier and will be getting that fixed next week. Thanks for all the support!
***** No problem. The audio issue is definitely fixed and sounds great. The park assist is definitely a problem and needs to be corrected. I ended up shutting it off because you literally cannot go through a drive through without it constantly beeping.
Just realized Maseratie and BMW has the same shifter. Are they part of a parent company or some partnership? And also, that key fob is Fucking HUGE. Nice overview though.
From what I understand Maserati is involved somehow with Fiat Chrysler. I don't think they have any affiliation with BMW. And yes the Key fob is sweet looking but definitely could be a little smaller and lighter. But you know what they say...go big or go home!
L30NHART Nick Pappas It's probably part of the transmission package. Different manufacturers will source transmissions from the same few companies (e.g. ZF), with relatively minor cosmetic alterations to the gear selector lever, especially one that has as many integrated functions as this one. It was easier to make them look different when they were just metal sticks into a hole!
L30NHART Nick Pappas Haha, I was just checking out another Ghibli video and the reviewer said the US models are fitted with an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF! I was just using them as an example, but they're really the go-to solution for most luxury manufacturers' non-sport applications right now.
welcome to youtube mate i love your video i think in order to improve in car reviews and get really good views in this field will first you have nice continent which is your ghibli i suggest that you use a camera i a go pro for starter is not bad and do 1080p people love it on full screen you need to learn more info about your automobile i suggest checking saabkyle04 review of the ghibli a ton of info in that video you can have some ideas as track day , cold start , go pro drive (opv) there is also a good reviewer i think you can learn something useful from him (nick murry ) he really have done nice owner review to his 911 and bmw m3,m4 wish you all the best and thanks for reading this
Saw a couple of bumps on steering wheel at 3 and 9 o'clock....or were just video faults? Silver edge around steering wheel controls, goes around only 3/4....or was just a light issue? Humans are getting taller and Americans are getting bigger; however, the Ghibli, BMW 5 series, Mercedes E series and Caddy CTS can't offer comfortable rear seats despite being expensive sedans. This car has the name, the style and the engine sound; but some people have tall relatives and friends and would be difficult to explain why Maserati decided to save some money by not making the wheelbase longer.
+Higgins Fountain You are correct that there are a couple of bumps at, let's say, 230 and 930. The steering wheel is nice and comfortable to hold. And that silver edge does go all the way around so it was just a light issue. And well said with the rest of your comments as I agree with you.
Beautiful Car Sir!!! I can honestly say that I hate you because I'm Jealous of your success LOL. Do more Maserati Videos so I can worship you. Are you an entrepreneur?
Brad_0 at the very beginning...the zero base issue. A faulty tire pressure sensor. A few small pieces inside the dash area that became loose including the glove compartment latch. One time the car was shaking for an hour every time I was idle but that went away by itself. I think that's it. Engine and car performance has been great. My main complaint is the radio/Bluetooth/audio functionality. Needs improvement.
common complaint what I've heard about that infotainment unit. what's the steering feedback like? one of the cars big appeals for me is hydraulic power steering.
Great looking car . The reason I searched it is . Driving down the highway. Goin 80 mph . One of this beauty passed me . Go in at least 120mph . And I realize it was love at first sight ""
+Jorge Monroy Thanks so much man...I appreciate it!
Brilliant. This type of review is way better than the staged, scripted and rehearsed reviews that are splattered across UA-cam. Keep your videos like this, it's like riding with a friend that's proud to show you their new toy. Love it.
+max crook I really appreciate it and thanks!!

Gerard Beaubrun I really appreciate the feedback. Looking back on the video, there was 20 things I easily could have done better but maybe next time. And it seems like as I get older the less attention I want. When I was young and single, attention from a car was everything! Now...not so much. lol
Nick Pappas
I really think that more can be said about any product. Usually reviews are made during the first encounter with a product. Don't you think there would be value in doing a "Impression of that same product 6 months after."
Would the feedback be good or simply constructive that something that companies can take and use in their advertisement, sales pitch or simply better themselves.
Let us know when you drop a new product demo.
Interestingly, I use production demo/reviews of things I want as visualization and inspiration for the things I want to work towards and aspire to own. That doubles my appreciation for what you do.
Be well!
Gerard thanks again and I think that's a great idea!
I'm in college and I'm thinking of buying this car as my daily driver. Dude! you have such an awesome car.
AGREED!!!! DAMN BEAUTIFUL
Wouldn’t recommend! Reliability is an issue on these
Sweet car Nick.
Thanks a lot and great point about the clock. I did a few more auto reviews that are linked in the description. Thanks again! :)
Love that you went with the Maser Nick, absolutely stunning car. I love it! This car seems to get a lot of hate, personally I like that it's not your average 5 series/E class. I love the sound as well, it is just an all around beautiful Italian machine.
Excellent vlog thoughts.
Thumbs up!

+Henry Perez Thanks so much Henry and I completely agree!
Great choice and I think you summed it up perfectly.
Just bought this SQ4 Maserati in blue/brown interior ..... fantastic sound, performance, looks and everything else... love it!
Congratulations and that sounds absolutely amazing! Enjoy it my friend!
Look at these 3 things:
1. The 3 "squares" in the headlamps
2. The 3 ventilation grids in the side: they are the same, right?
3. And the door handles, same shape.
This is why Italians have a touch in style that others can only dream.
CRONetTV Well said and I didn't realize those little details. The Ghibli gets better and better every day! Thanks for the info.
hopefully you figured out by now but when you open your trunk you actually have a subwoofer back there. the metal part hanging in the trunk is its magnet.
+Atlantik av Very cool. I didn't know that. Thanks for the tip!
Regards
Philippe Suter Thanks for the great information and I appreciate it. And I agree with you on your assessment of the Panamera.
Has your car been reliable?
It has been reliable but that’s not to say I haven’t had a few minor problems which I have. Sometimes the AC and the computer is glitchy and my ac broke the first day I got the car. But all relatively minor issues.
Nice - I'm going from a panny to a Ghibli, ordered lots of carbon parts too and AM 21" wheels.
Nice!! Enjoy it and let me know how you like it!
hi nick i really loved this car. I watched both of your videos it really helped me a lot to get this car...
harold hernandez Awesome and thank you. Glad these videos help!
You got it from reeves?? Cause I was looking into reeves masarati's dealer.
Sy Yes, I got it from Reeves. Ask for Joe Cruppi...he took good care of me.
parabéns pelo vídeo gostei muito linda essa maserati ghibli
+Nick Pappas Does it bother you that you have to always press the I agree? And also I honestly think this is a beautiful car, but driving day to day it would bother me. Like you said, you are buying this car for the engine, for the fun of driving...
+Weasel4Fun You hit the nail right on the head. Pushing the "I agree" button multiple times a day, drives me crazy. Like you said, love the car, but these little multiple little quirks definitely drive me nuts.
all in one take. what a unit.
Lol.
Nick Pappas Yup - they added a foot sensor power trunk for 2016. I ordered it with the expected price of $700.
I’m debating on getting one but I’ve been eyeing an E63 AMG. I’ve seen these super cheap tho! I have a chance to get a black on black for $22k with only 20k miles on it! It is a 2014!
Must be a regular, not the S Q4? I love my S Q4. Beautiful head Turner, and FAST. 😎
Nice.
👍👍👍
Hey Nick, Congratulations on your new car. I was wondering how dark your window tint was? I was planning to tint the windows on my Q4 too. I liked how your car looks with the tint but didn't want to go too dark. Thanks
Nandan Chirumamilla Thanks a lot. So I just called my tint guy and he did 18% tint and used Suntek (which is equivalent to a ceramic tint). Hope that helps and good luck!
Thank you all for your feedback. It's much appreciated!
Nick Pappas So.....you welcome any feedback...lol Since it appears you're big money over there, can you share the wealth...Quattroporte S Q4 I'll take it in black..lol...Any case Nick nice nice vlog.
great feedback!, also nice range in the garage lol
Christov Bro Preciate man. Maybe I'll do a review on that next....if the wife lets me. lol
Brian, thanks for that info. I'm calling them on Monday to see what the status is. Thx again!
Brett Madden Agreed.
thats one sweet car Nick :) Congrats and yes nice video :)
Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.
Try adjusting the audio settings. Lots of people always have their settings screwed up.
Tried that and it doesn't make a different. I think there's a bass, a mid and a treble setting and it didn't make much of a difference for me.
I'm only here because these are $25-30k used now, with very low mileage.... poster.... what was your final verdict on this car?
I still love it and definitely recommend it. A little glitchy at times but still well worth it.
I love my S Q4 Brandon, this car get more looks than a Benz. Has an unmatched Exotic look and the SOUND is just amazing. I love going Manuel and Sport with the Paddle Shifters on the wheel. FUN. 😎 hope this helps ya.
How much is the oil difference from American cars ?
How does leasing work im thinking about going this way in order to get a car
Ask your dealer for details. But typically you can lease the car for 2-4 years. It keep your payments lower than normal and you have a certain amount of miles you can use per year. At the point the lease is up you just turn it in and don't have to worry about selling it, etc. Its a good option if you like switching cars every 3-4 years and want to keep your payments lower.
keep the Maserati in M mode all the way! nice car nick
+Reynier Avon Yes!!! And thank you!
Enjoy it!
Nice review, you should also review that range rover in the garage :D
Flex, I've had a couple people mention that so maybe I will. The wife loves that thing and I can't blame her. They're pretty sick!
Gorgeous car!! Love the review
I appreciate it. Also be sure to check on my follow up video on the Ghibli as well. It gives a little more info I left out of this review. Link is in the description. Thanks again.
honest review, thank you
Thanks so much!
Why doesn't your car have the fixed paddles on the back of the steering wheel? Is there a package that needs to be selected? I'm thinking about checking one of these out next. I'm cross shopping this, an ATS-V, and Range Rover Sport Supercharged.
+P KF I'm pretty sure its an option and one that wasn't included in the one I got. Let me know which one you end up getting and good luck.
Nick Pappas Sounds good man. Great video by the way, really got me going on these. I think I'm gonna go test drive one in a couple days!
+P KF Awesome man and thanks! Let me know how you like it.
Hi Nick. Overall what do you think Maserati Ghibli compare to Porsche Panamera. Need some advice. Thanks
Dude this is awesome!
Thanks!
Wonderful car, sir! Gorgeous!!
Geshmake I appreciate it. Thanks!
My pleasure! Looking forward to the next video!!
Great video. And very helpful .
I appreciate it. Thanks!
Great video. I was just wondering if you can share lease numbers. The best I've found is $699 and $5k on delivery. Thanks and keep up the videos!
ninteentwenty I appreciate it. I think the numbers you mentioned sound pretty much inline with what I heard. I was told the sticker price on the one I got was $91,000k and with $5K down got it for around $700 per month give or take. So based on my experience, I think you're getting a good deal. Good luck!
Nick Pappas Thanks, I appreciate it!
Nick Pappas is that for a 36 month lease?
hollywood141 Yes...36 months.
Hey Nick,
Great video, one day I will have my own maserati when my company is big enough!
Ela bro, very nice video. Im in the market for a Ghibli so this helped out a lot. God bless and Zito Ellas! LOL
Tom Mitropoulos Well said Tom and glad it helped. Yasou!
Great video and car. You should do one on the Range Rover in the garage!
Thanks! I've had a lot of people ask me to do one on it, so I'll get it down early in the new year. Thanks again!
Nick when are you gonna sell the car, is it already gone? I’m looking for a used Maserati to avoid the depreciation
Yes I sold it a while back and now drive the Tesla. Did you find one?
How is maintenance on this ? And how is the reliability so far for you?
So far the Model x has been great. That being said it definitely has its issues and mine has been in the shop a few times. I still love it but they need to improve in that area. I’m planning a 1 year review...good and bad...here soon. So stay tuned. 👍
cool video and I love all Maserati cars and the lavante
How's the maintenance on this? I thought that people saying that an oil change was $500 we're not doing it themselves. Can I do it myself? Have you had an issue with it going into limp mode? How has reliability been? I'm eyeing a 2015 SQ4 with 25k miles.
Thanks
Don't own it anymore but the maintenance was a bit of an issue.
Cool review, car looks super clean.. do you still have it?
Thanks! I don’t anymore. Really likes the car but I know have a Tesla Model x and have made a video on it. Check it out if you can.
Nick Pappas oh nice! Talk about upgrade lol def will! Thanks!
Well said...
Do this car have Bluetooth?
It does have Bluetooth.
I liked the video very much, good job.
TheMusicrunner Appreciate it. I needed to be a little more thorough but I'll do so in a follow up video. Thanks for watching.
Great vid! Cheers from daytona ;)
Thanks...neighbor.
tell the hmnnetwork my dad has a 09 range rover sport v8 and has manuel sport it has a refrigirator in it and you can make it go and down i love your ghibli ferrari interior
Isaiah Ventura Nice and thank you!
we are going to san diego on the 16
I love your taste. May I ask which radar detector you have?
Lolman240 I appreciate it. I have a Escort Passport 8500. Works great. I've heard the new Passports are even better but this 8500 works just great. Here's a link:
www.escortradar.com/passport8500x50/?gclid=Cj0KEQjwrJ2tBRD13N7T5u7k9I8BEiQA5APAAMue7_hrWNj8XRan0ZKfJDtXlqt1Jbk5svWsyScGD7oaAm4g8P8HAQ
Nick Pappas Awesome! thank you so much
+Nick Pappas I have valentine One I like the way you installed your passwort. Did you hardwired it? I didnt see any wires from there. Any tips on that how you did it?
+Selvakumar Jaganathan they say the Valentines are still the best. I had mine hard wired by a shop. Literally took it to an auto audio shop and $60 later they had it hardwired. Good luck.
@13:40 yOU CAN ADJUST THE SENSITIVITY IN THE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM OF YOUR SENSORS
Got it. Thanks!
Terrible maintenance?
Yeah it wasn't great but not horrible either.
The Trident inspires.
👍
Nick Pappas Congratulations. 🙏🙏🙏
Thinking about leasing this car nick do you have any idea how much I'm from Los Angeles and I have seen lease specials at 600 a month 10,000 miles a year 5,500 down for the ghibli. however I came across a ghibli owner at a gas satin and he said its all b.s. That it's more like 900-950
If that's the case I rather go m4 or amg c63
“im not gonna go crazy”
“that was me flooring it”
lol. anyways,i would say it improved quite a bit since 2014/15. still needs some work tho
Yeah maybe not my best moment. Lol. Agreed.
Where I think you can call BMW, Mercedes and Porsche's luxury sport cars...if that makes any sense.,
Sweet! Ride!
Love the exhaust note!!
Tim Black Thanks Tim. I appreciate it!
Love your car! Great job :D
Thomas Dobie I appreciate Thomas. Thanks!
great video...
ever think of doing a test drive with a go-pro?
Ray Herrera Great idea...only problem is I don't have a Go-Pro. I'll look into though as it sounds like a great idea. Thanks again!
Do you live in a area where you can just let loose in the car? That be another cool aspect, rather than having some idiot driver ruin the video lol
My stepdad doesn't know if he's should get a Porsche Panamera S ,BMW 7 series , or the Maserati as shown here, any suggestions?
deadjasonfan That's a tough one.
Nick Pappas Great car.
Looking at the part of video where you film the trunk; you seem to have a centre speaker in the rear shelf as well.
Nick Pappas Did you get that amp fixed? How's the audio now? Make sure you turn up the bass in the settings first.
Nick Pappas Also, did you ever figure out if you can turn off or tweak the park assist sensors?
Nick Pappas Never mind, found both were answered in part 2 ua-cam.com/video/8qsWbeMaa9Y/v-deo.html.
Nice neighborhood and house. Cars sweet too.
szparaj73 Thanks!
Great video, Thanks Nick
Thanks so much.
nice video man, what do you do to afford those great cars?
+iAfrica18 Thanks a lot. Not all the cars I've reviewed are mine. :)
welcome to youtube mate
i love your video
i think in order to improve in car reviews and get really good views in this field
will first you have nice continent which is your ghibli
i suggest that you use a camera i a go pro for starter is not bad and do 1080p people love it on full screen
you need to learn more info about your automobile i suggest checking saabkyle04 review of the ghibli a ton of info in that video
you can have some ideas as track day , cold start , go pro drive (opv)
there is also a good reviewer i think you can learn something useful from him (nick murry ) he really have done nice owner review to his 911 and bmw m3,m4
wish you all the best and thanks for reading this
Thanks so much for the feedback and I'll check out what you recommended. Thanks again!
Flappy paddle gearbox is just optional?
Ties Roeleveld Yes...that's correct.
Nick Pappas Ah. You got some taste mate:) Maserati!
Hopefully by the time I'm able to buy one they will have incorporated a better sound system lol.
Wells Cooksey Once they re-programmed the amplifier, I'm happy to report the stereo sounded much better so you should be good to go! :)
What about Aston Martin???
Zakariah Lafreniere love all Aston Martins but they’re way out of my price range.
thanks for great review !
Sruli Engelstein Thank you for watching!
Do you have the upgraded speaker system ?

Thanks so much!
Beautiful car. Make more car videos. I enjoy them. Lol.
+MisterAmuse Thanks. I have some buddies that have some great cars...so I'm going to try and get them to let me do a video on their cars.
This is going to be my retirement car when I'm done collecting my dodge collection
Nice!!
Classy looking car and you won't miss a Porsche that much. If people on the back complaint.......they can call UBER !!! lol
Well said!
Nice car bro congratulations
Appreciate man!
Beautiful Car Sir!!! I can honestly say that I hate you because I'm Jealous of your success LOL. Do more Maserati Videos so I can worship you. Are you an entrepreneur?
Dopplet L Thank you and please don't call me sir...Nick is fine. Makes me feel old. lol And there will be more car videos to come so thanks!
hey, any problems/common issues you've experienced with your ghibli over the ownership period?
Brad_0 Hello. No major problems at all. And the few minor problems I've had the service has been top notch.
fair enough, what are these minor issues you had?
Brad_0 at the very beginning...the zero base issue. A faulty tire pressure sensor. A few small pieces inside the dash area that became loose including the glove compartment latch. One time the car was shaking for an hour every time I was idle but that went away by itself. I think that's it. Engine and car performance has been great. My main complaint is the radio/Bluetooth/audio functionality. Needs improvement.
common complaint what I've heard about that infotainment unit. what's the steering feedback like? one of the cars big appeals for me is hydraulic power steering.
Brad_0 steering feedback has been enjoyable. You should test drive one and I think you'll agree.
Awesome video
Thanks!
