I work down in West Soho & when I was there in the shopping district a couple of months ago it was completely dead but now it’s starting to come back to life gradually! It’s actually a great thing to see & I hope NYC will come back stronger than ever!!!
So sad to see my city so devastated. I watched videos on the Upper West Side where I lived on West 73rd Street between Central Park West and Columbus and also saw your video on the Upper East Side where I also once lived. Soho where I loved to shop. I was in tears watching this. Grew up in NYC and moved to Boca Raton Florida in October 2018 but my friends and family live in NYC. Was there in March while the pandemic was just kicking up and NYC started closing down. Haven't been able to get back as Florida is on the Quarantine list if we come back to NY. So so sad to see the city like this on the videos. Praying it makes a come back. Keep doing more videos.
The beauty of being on the streets of NYC is that everybody is fit and slim from doing all that walking ....Down here in the south everybody is literally shaped like offensive lineman .....
And I’ve been living in San Francisco for the past 25 years! So it’s a warm hug from home as the city continues to grow and change. Thank you Actionkid%!!!
Rents have already plummeted significantly if you’re serious about living in the city now is the time. In my old neighborhood of Gramercy Park grants have dropped between $500:and $800 And that’s common for all parts of the city

So sad to see so few people about. Those retail shops must be losing a fortune. Maybe the window at Wells Fargo was boarded up because it's broken? Stay safe, and thank you for continuing to show us round New York.
AK thanks for the update in this part 2:50 I dont wanna be dramatic but it breaks my heart whenever I see 1 less VS / Pink shop, that brand aesthetics & quality helped me through my HS years to choose better stuff at best prices, great value! . I hope people will appreciate the company's effort to spread better essentials in these time of so much uncertainties 🙏😌.
I grew up in that neighborhood from the 40s till the eighties all those buildings in the area were factories where clothes were made, the artists started to move in the area in the late seventies early 80s.
Soho is always a nice place to walk, very nice tour. It was pretty empty there, but I'd call it manageable. The first half of 2020 was so challenging and weird, I'm glad New York is starting to recover from that, you recorded quite some history during that time.
Seriously like what is up with so many unnecessary scaffolding. I thought they were going to give rid of many..Yet some have been up for more than a decade for no reason just because landlords are too cheap to pay for maintenance. It's an eyesore and dangerous when it gets windy.
@@jessygarci - More than decades, you're right! After a while, the scaffolding starts to take root and you ignore how long it's been in place; you might forget how beautiful it is without it.
Now landlords and tenants won’t be able to do repairs, so there should be a reduction in new scaffolding installation. On the other hand, it costs money to remove scaffolding, so...
When I was a little girl my cousin was a teenager and her boyfriend and his friends rented a store in SoHo ( our neighborhood and the Village) Thompson Street between Spring and Broome. The rent was $50 a month 1967

🏙🗽🚖🚘🙋🏻♂️📽🚖🥨 Good morning A.K. . Thank you very much for sharing your video. I live in NYC and your videos always keep me informed about what's happening in the City! The pink Museum of Ice Cream was a cool surprise. It's nice to see people having fun. UNIGLO is a great store. They have great winter coats and vests. Stay safe! 🐼🙋🏼♀️
More bathroom spots in the area - the Apple store and Crate & Barrel! Not sure if they are open now, but something to keep in mind for future reference.
Yeah... if you're into girls with blue hair, tattoos, nose rings, and whose instagram profile says something like "all men are trash," then yep NYC is great
Hi, I was just wondering, when you say the streets are normally full of people and they are one on top of the other(@2:27) can you edit a screenshot in the video from a capture of one of your previous videos of the same spot before covid?
Is NYC completely reopened now ? Where can I find information on the phases? I'm planning a new trip to New York next September ... Thanks for you videos ! B [France]
I'm curious because i literally cannot tell, do you record the audio after you record the video or are you commentating live as everything happens? It sounds like you're doing it live. Either way great work and thanks for the vid!

This would be a good time for tax/finance incentives for freelancers and people who’d like to open a small business; corporations are all telecommuting and will only move more towards a virtual environment. Imagine if small-scale manufacturing came back to Manhattan.
I is very sad to see all the graffiti on those boards. I think they should paint nice pictures on those boards Maybe that would discourage the graffiti.
