oh, I'd really like to… it looks like my dream device :) I spend lot of time at working desk, so non-portable player by A&K attracts me
but I won't get it for review soon, as official import to Ukraine is slow due to customs and other s…t
and also I really hope that sound will be at A&K's level, as that previous desktop DAC/amp from ACRO series wasn't stellar IMO
so, high hopes, but with a bit of cautious

unfortunately, I'm not good at defining basic words, so I'm not the best explainer here. Fast just describes the sound, faster is usually dryer, more aggressive, slow is softer, and warmer
Timbre… I'm not using it usually :) As for tone - it can be different in terms of context
But in general, the only way to understand these terms is to listen to some gear, and then match descriptions of sound with what you hear. Only practical experience can give you some understanding
As for Sonies, congratulations on your purchase! I didn't test them, but I believe they're good
As for SP3000, unfortunately, I don't know any details. I've heard that release should be somewhere soon, but that's all I know

Hello, which player (Astell & Kern SA700 -Astell Kern Kann Alpha- Astelle A&Norma SR25)has the better sound, i.e., bass, treble, voices, speech, the best package ebend. I would be very happy to receive a few tips. My best wishes and stay healthy

thank you. actually, out of all these 3 A&K players I prefer Kann series. it offers the best price/quality IMO
If you look at the specs you can see some certain cost cutting or design decisions that reflect the cheaper cost compared to other Ultima products, such as it is the only Ultima product without Femto clock and 8 core cpu, also only 256gb storage. AK probasbly thought in the current economic climate it would be better to hit a lower price point to increase sales.
I suspect that SP2000T is a "test" model before updating the main flagship, created to polish some of the newer technologies (like more recent Android)
so how does it compare to m17 as the comparison wasnt done in ither vid
em… totally different. this one slightly warmer, with A&K signature coloration, with less dynamics in sound
@@PortaFi ok thsnk you i own a sp1000 and cant decide between the m17, sp2000t or a cayin c9 to improve on the sp1000 but everyone is raving about the m17 i own the meze lyric and focal utopias i supose im looking for the max out of my headphones but i want the best vlue for my money. you have been a big help and one of the only guys on the net that can give any form of usefull info on what im looking for keep up the good work

Hello, I'm fine, thank you! I didn't have free money to get SP2000T, so this review is about a loaned unit. If you have SP3000, I don't think 2000T will make lot of sense for you, because 3000 is like "similar, but better" type of signature.
So to try something different I'd suggest some other company's DAP

@@javi1981 yes, looks like DX240 is the best available choices. HiBy's flagship is big, same as FiiO one, Shanlings are colored, so DX240 looks like the only compact version suiting to price tier (or I forgot something)

@@PortaFi It will be going in my hi end car audio system which I used to have the M11 connected to via coaxial digital cable which I know the Astell & kern doesn’t have. I know the SP2000 is supposed to be the best sounding DAP ever made but I figured the m17 should be decent. I have to pull the trigger soon…
@@CarAudioHorizons if you're going to use it as a digital transport, there won't be a big difference in sound, as in this case player's own DAC and amp don't play a role

@@kaankucuk1612 I bought the FiiO M17 as I got a great deal on it. I also heard at the time the Astell & Kern SP3000 was going to be coming out so there was no point buying the SP2000. But you can’t go wrong with any of the flagship DAP’s for sound quality.

offline mode is fine,cause wifi will impact the tube sound
@@dennislam8102 so sp2000 streaming no noise, but noise is present in sp2000t? , streaming versus normal ak daos strea?
I've read that feedback about buzz in hybrid/tube mode, but I didn't experienced it, maybe it's a matter of router, usually devices interfere with my router on 2.4 GHz network, but works OK with 5 GHz
but in general, seems like buzz is quite possible with tube involving amp mode
SP2000 doesn't have tube, so no problem with it
