This was by far my favorite Kentucky afield video ever. Truely shows the spirit of Kentucky. And the boat launch was hilarious! Looks exactly like something I would do lol. Love it.
Cant say how precious life is to do something you did as young men close to 30 yrs ago and have the same amount of fun. I'll take this over the racial divide, hate & discontent going on today. Thanks for sharing.
This brought back happy memories. I too grew up limb lining a river with my uncle and cousins. And I limb lined with my daughter's when they were growing up. And I hope to limb line with my grandkids when they get a little older. Thanks for the great video!
Great video. This made my day. I went to high school here with Chad and Jarrod... two of the nicest, coolest guys you'd ever meet. Me and my brother's grew up fishin Salt river and running limb lines too. I still live close to it here. "Captain Joe and his trusty eskimo!" as Jarrod used to say.
It's funny how we drift away from times and places that we thought would always remain the same; we somehow take the best times for granted, it's nice to see some places haven't changed.
Thank you for putting that little flathead back in. Let him get bigger. We put any flathead under five pounds back. My fishing buddy and I fish the Mississippi river for flatheads with bankpoles and catch a lot of 20-40 pounders in our secret spot.
Awesome set your lines and set back and eat a bite and laugh all night with a friend and check your lines a couple of times until morning, good times...
That's a cool banjo tune I play the banjo but I don't recognize the song could you give me some idea what it is and thank you for the video I'm looking forward to doing some catfishing myself
Setting bluegill for catfish at the surface is a great way to catch herons, kingfishers, and other fish eating birds. Drop them low enough that you cannot see them.
If you cross your safety chains, that will prevent the tongue of trailer from dropping to the road surface if the trailer should come off the ball. A trailer tongue sliding on ther road surface has a potential of hanging on something and flipping.
Who else wanted to see them get that boat back out of the water...lol...I am just saying If it was me I'd put the motor in the bottom of the front of the boat until I got to a bank.

Awesome video ! This is what fishing is all about.
Brandon Willcutt not really I prefer fishing with rod n reel...
probably one of my favorite videos I've watched. Especially when the boat got away hahaha. Good work fellas.
We always have a long rope attached to the boat so it can't get away.
Kentuckian here from Bowling Green. Glad we are blessed with great, outdoor resources. Plus, we play a little basketball here too.
Thanks for taking the time to share your adventure! I loved it, but surely not as much as you did!!
Great memories and fun times. Nice video guys. 👍

Doesn’t get much better than a trip river fishing.

Awesome video guys....I can relate....we had sulfur fork creek.....
Love the song.
I've never had much luck with limb lining in August. May is the best month I've ever had.
“Run ‘at there in that root wad as good as you kin.”
can't bet a johnboat wish I had a place for one.. apt. living no boats aloud... awe...
Excellent video. I just wished it was 3 hours long. Lol
Great job guys 😺🐟
Best boat launch ever
Today's kids want have this great experience, they will be saying remember that video game we used to play. They are really missing out.
That was great awesome video, I remember when I was kid we would catch a lot of stripe bass I’m gonna take my 5 year old he loves catfish
I like that song can I go back to my younger days
I caught a 39” 15# channel cat just upstream from Shelbyville. In the salt river
Perfect! And that song says it well!
There's a boat ramp in shepherdsville kentucky for the salt river
I live on the north end of Salt River, are there any cats up that a way?
I live in shepherdsville what part of the salt river is this
Man it's greate video nice fishes
We pay enough to live in this world all ready, to get relaxation from the stress of this crazy world

Fish it all summer down in shepherdsville and boston ky
I catch about 200# of catfish the first night on my annual fishing trip but it’s not on the salt river
My late brother and I had a lot of good times doing this
He is not the only fisherman that launched an unattached boat!
The song was great with the video guys
I give that belly flop a 9 out of 10
Good video guys I have a question are blue catfish any good to eat
Jim Farris yes
Nothin beats fried blue catfish
Def not a Gangsta except flathead
Flathead are the best
love it, going in !! it happens !! LOL.. okay what kind of line r u using?
Definitely not a bowline!😂😂😂
I ust to fish that way but it got to be more theves in that area than fish .. Rob.
Nice video. Makes me want to hit the river.
ever get any snapping turtles like that?
Must not time a rope to front of boat so boat doesn't get away from you in Kentucky
I'm from The Ohio River, respect.
Who else wanted to see them get that boat back out of the water...lol...I am just saying If it was me I'd put the motor in the bottom of the front of the boat until I got to a bank.
Well you should allway's have a tether the lingth of you boat on the front . Rob.
Hello guys , Captain Ron
Why wouldn't you tie a line on the bow of the boat? But I guess swimming after the boat makes for a better video
Give a man fish he eats for day, teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime.
cool video .
Wish there were flatheads
Rent a backhoe and dig out the bank at a 45 degrees make a boat ramp
I bet that was a good eating
Only a really good clown launches a boat with no rope on it.
It don't get no realr than that for sure
Why camera that stupidity of losing the boat (bunch of ameuter guys wanting to be on the camera)!
States should charge $250 a year for a fishing license with Trotline rights...
