  • My regular Thumb Pro started to act flakey so I bought the WIDE version, and it is better, but not great frankly. Stabilized in Gyroflow. it was a hazy day so not much color around.
Flown on a custom 2" KT20 frame and a 3S pack; AUW 152 grams. The sunshield is my own 3D TPU print and it slides over the ND filter.

An awesome flight! I like it when you go low through the little paths through the ground cover. Loved the song choice, and the nice trailer gap👍👍
It sure is a green summer this year, thanks for sharing a little of yours🙏

Yeah, there is something about these small cine ones that is so appealing. Exploring the jungle below 3 feet. You should try it before our green turns to white! Thanks Barty.

Thanks Ray. It's a cheap camera but pretty good all things considered. Thanks for the comment.

Yes, 29g plus the mount. The Thumb Pro is 16g plus mount. I lost my GO2 in the woods ... it got stripped off apparently when I skimmed a branch and I've yet to find it. Ughhhh. That drove me crazy. A naked Peanut would be a good project.

Nice flight. Good stuff. I like my thumb pro especially for the cost and weight. Footage is not bad either.

Yes, it has its niche. I'd love a naked 4K GO3S (would run off the flight pack like the Thumbs). The optics and colors are way better. I'm half tempted to butcher one to find out. It likely would drop the weight from 39g to under 20g like the Thumbs. 2-inch is just a lot of fun for yard gamers like me. Thanks for watching James.

Fantastic flying and filming Tommy. I think the footage looks nice. I'm still personally enamored with the 03 Air Unit and am switching my 7" quad from analog/action cam to 03AU/GoPro or even 03AU alone like I do with my 3.5" build. I love how the technology is rapidly advancing to the point where we can have quality digital HD video even on small craft. It does come at a cost which is why those thumbs from RunCam and Hawkeye still have a niche in my opinion. I've been seriously considering a Mobula 8 with 03AU for my next model so I can fly indoors without annoying the wife and scaring the dog too bad.😅 Thanks for sharing your adventures. Happy flying amigo. 🫡 🍻

@@Sonic_Ox yeah, when I got into FPV there was only analog, and by some accident I ended up with a dozen or more quads and still like them all. In happy with strapping on digital cameras to record at this point. In glad you're enjoying FPV and skating your big skies!

I hear ya, Tommy. I got in around 2016 and couldn't really commit much money to the hobby. I flew a Hubsan H501s. It was a pretty good quad for the price at that time. I used the screen on the controller mostly and I bought some really crummy eachine goggles for "fpv." It wasn't great, but I could record 1080p to an onboard xd card. It had GPS and some other nice features. It was enough to get me hooked on quads. I got into 3d printing at about the same time and found the two hobbies combined really well. I was happy as a clam with all that for six or seven years, never wanting to drop a kilobuck or more for a DJI setup. When the Hubsan started giving me trouble around 2023, I decided to upgrade my kit. After much mental back and forth, I decided to build my own quads and get into "proper" fpv. My first build was an analog 7" but the digital experience with my second build (3.5") was SHOCKINGLY better than anything I'd tried, so I vowed to just save money and be patient and keep pursuing digital. With that mindset, I haven't been able to amass much of a fleet, but I've been happy with what I've built so far. Thank you for sharing your journey too, Tommy. Your vids are always an inspiration and a learning experience for me. Happy flying amigo. 🫡 🍻

@@Sonic_Ox interesting story. I've been flying RC models for 50 years, and full size aircraft since 1982. It's the flying part that I like the most, but filming allows me to re-enjoy each flight as well as share them.
