Hi was there any vibrating at all on the timing belt after installing the new one? I did this hole job even bought a new tensioner and pulley and i have a small bit of vibration when looking at the open part right before the 2nd cam. I cant see the rest as my plastic is on and i have to pull the corner back to see that amount.
Ca Bal in theory you could.. but I don't think you would be able to get the belt off the bottom sprocket with the crank pulley still on there. I recommend some penetrating oil. you can also use the starter method to get the bolt off if that is what is stuck! if the bolt is out, you can borrow a pulley puller from an autoparts store for free usually!
If I may offer a suggestion as to cracking loose the water pump pulley bolts, I always crack those loose while the belt is still on and tight. Hope you find that helpful. Peace
Something to note: There are two kinds of water pump for this engine, they are identical except for how the pulley bolts up to it. Crapozone claims one fits 90% of this engine, the other, harder to get one, fits the rest. Guess which one I have...
+Cramer Ward-Collings just giving more in depth information, they are not interchangeable unless you get the other kind of pulley as well. Great vids though! My damn MIL came on =(
+Cramer Ward-Collings damn right i killed my baby lol. that was my first time really working under a hood of my car. looking back its super disappointing cause it was an easy fix
Thanks for the video, other clips show removing the timing belt, you got the pump out while belts are still on. Oh that saves a lot of timing!
yes! doing the timing on this car isnt too hard, but its better if you dont have to!
Awesome video but you working barefoot has me bent 🤣
so how did you take the cover off? i looked today on mine, and you can't even fit an starving squirrel in there

You're already more help than the $27 "repair manual" you have to buy to find out has nothing useful.
Hey mate what's the stuff you used for the engine mounts?
It's noted in my motor mounts video you can find on my page :)
