If Varric dies like immediately at the beginning of the game... well I definitely wouldn't stop playing it, but I would probably need to take a break and cry my eyes out 😅 and I'm not sure it's like.. the greatest design choice ever? Lol. To upset your players so much they need to stop playing at the beginning of the game lol. But of course I would come back and play it over and over. Honestly, the lore drops we've had already have been MASSIVE and I am so thrilled. This is all I ever wanted from this game really TO FIND OUT THE LORE.

Yea, it would be a weird decission indeed. Some ppl suggested that maybe the skeleton we will get to kiss (according to Q&A it's not Emmrich's skelton) is gonna be Varric? It's honestly hilarious that Bioware gives us 10 different lore answers and as a result we have 100 more questions :D DA is da best ! Glad you are excited too ❤ and curious to read your takes

So the person who made Varric was laid off so I won't be surprised if he dies but there's also a chance of them giving his character a peaceful retirement. I hope he doesn't die but I want closure on varric's story

This entire article has me even more excited to play Veilguard this fall. I think this may be one of the best if not the best Dragon Age game when it releases.
I know Varric is not mentioned in the article. It could be that he's dead, or he could just be paralyzed from the waist down. Perhaps he is with Dorian and May. 🤞🤷🏾♂️

Isnt it possible that varric is also trapped in the fade now? Maybe that has something to do with the weird mention of Harding having strange new powers. Like, presumed dead, get more info about him later type thing. A dwarf bound to the fade could be a big deal
It is totally possible! Maybe Bioware is just messing with us and the big surprise is that he's just trapped in the Fade with Solas :p. Poor Solas would go crazy lol. Tbh tho, I feel like Rook having this new connection with the Fade due to his blood interacting with the ritual has something to do with it! Maybe Harding's blood reacted too and hence her connection. Or her close proximity to raw magic if she tried to run towards Varric to help him. Either way - why did Rook bleed? There must have been some kind of blast there!
@@greenbrownblue yeah absolutely!! i was thinking like, varric is right next to solas, then it’s us and the few folks there. I wonder if Neve will have some kind of connection to the fade, and that might be part of the…theory that she might be the companion that betrays us in this game. Maybe Varric will be mysterious for the main part of the game and we will get a conclusion on that story beat as a dlc, a final capstone to the dwarves being disconnected from the fade stuff :3c who knows what can happen! it’s all so exciting!!
Why it's spoilers?
We must know that, Knowing Solas ain't the main villain of this game is making us even more excited to playing it.
Gameinformer dropped SOOOO MANYYYY spoilers. Not just that one: Evanuris being corrupted, lack of Varric, Solas is trapped in the Fade, origins of the Lighthouse, darkspawn in Arlathan, etc etc etc. They already also confirmed the Evanuris being villains, but for lore nerds (like us) , it's about finding out its Ghilan'nain and Elrgarn'nan and not Falon'din and Andruil.
