Amen! Nothing drives me crazy when an opticians and office staff is wearing Zenni eyeglasses, but Opticians get mad when customers comes to buy Zenni. I only wear what I sell from our our affordable lenses and frames...to the top of the line. SV, Bifocal to progressives to try everything. It's easier to educate and recommend. Thank you 🎉

    Hi John Sir,
I hope you are doing well. Today, I went to the doctor and my eye prescription has changed. I was amazed however, Please find below my current eye power numbers:
    Right Eye: SPH -0.25 CYL -0.75 Axis: 75 ADD1.25
Left Eye: SPH -0.25 CYL -0.50 Axis: 80 ADD 1.25
Based on these numbers, could you please find my computer/intermediate (~24") and
Right Eye: SPH +0.50 CYL -0.75 Axis: 75
Left Eye: SPH +0.50 CYL -0.50 Axis: 80
I ordered my new glasses with Crizal Prevencia anti-reflective lenses. And yes, the calculation I provided earlier for computer/intermediate vision is correct based on your current eye prescription.?

@Laramy-K Optical : Can you please give me the green light on which option I should choose for SV Intermediate (single-vision glasses)?
    1 . Single Intermediate Rx
    OD - SPH +0.00 CYL -0.75 AXIS 80
    OS - SPH +0.00 CYL -0.50 AXIS 80
    2. Single Intermediate Rx
    OD - SPH +0.25 CYL -0.75 AXIS 80
    OS - SPH +0.25 CYL -0.50 AXIS 80

That 0.25 isn't really going to make much difference one way or the other. If you hold your digital device close (arm bent) go with the +0.25 if you hold it at arms length (arm extended a bit) then drop the 0.25. Sorry but that is about all the advice I can give you.

@@LaramyKOptical Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. Your advice is very helpful and I appreciate your willingness to offer a solution. It's true that 0.25 may not seem like much, but every bit counts and I'm grateful for your insight on how to handle this situation. Your suggestion to adjust based on the distance of holding the device is also very practical and easy to implement. Thank you again for your kindness and expertise.
I have decided to choose option 2 because both my mobile device and laptop are capable of handling it.
      2. Single Intermediate Rx
      OD - SPH +0.25 CYL -0.75 AXIS 80
      OS - SPH +0.25 CYL -0.50 AXIS 80

Sir my add power is +1.25, then half of your add power would be ?

    • @LaramyKOptical
      @LaramyKOptical  Рік тому +1

Watch the video that I sent you the link to. No easy way to answer that with a 1.25. You or someone will need to flip a coin and decide to round up or round down. The closer you are to the task the higher you want the + power.

@@LaramyKOptical Fantastic video! All my doubts have been cleared. I feel like I could become a master of intermediate powers now. In India, there are a lot of issues and expenses associated with learning this skill, but thanks to you, it seems possible for me.
