- Qatar Rail opened the Doha Metro to Doha Hamad International Airport! Ultimate Freggle went on a ride with the metro from Doha to Doha Hamad International Airport in Qatar and back. Check out how easy it is to take the Metro to and from Hamad Airport in this video!
The Doha Metro to Hamad Airport is connected via covered and air-conditioned and mostly moving walkways. Escalators and lifts are also available throughout. This makes getting there very easy and convenient. In this video I filmed the whole walkway and supported it with additional information to make your travelling much easier. Enjoy!
The Doha Metro opening times are
Saturdays to Thursday 06:00 - 23:00
Friday 14:00 - 23:00
Doha Metro ticket prices
A single journey ticket costs 2 QR
A day pass costs 6 QR
A travel card costs 10 QR without any credit. Credit can then be topped up.

They could arrange better way, person needs to walk a mile to reach metro

This Doha metro is the best, I wish I will go to Doha just for vacation and just to try all 3 lines of doha metro,how convenient is and no experience of heavy traffic in Doha
Yep that's a thing of the past. Lots of people already use it to commute to work and back, it's definitely helping the traffic!

I was about 2 months back stopped at Doha, and opted for a city tour, I found it very Tech advanced being e a very compromising position at the end of the huge desert, with very unfavorable climate but because of its wealth they are trying all that's physically possible to mitigate the effects of harsh climate, I wud like to know that right now it's quite pleasant weatherwise, but do they still then on air-con. On the metro & what type of sustainable technology they use to cool the network even in the height of summer??...

Hi Shelim! A day pass is 6 QAR. You will need a standard travel pass to be able to travel which is 30 QAR. 10 is for the pass and the other 20 will be travel credit. You can use the same also going from the airport, no problem!

How much luggage we can carry inside the metro?
& Is Trolleys available at the metro station of Hamad International airport or we have to drag our luggage till inside the airport to get the Trolleys??
Hi Faisal! Moving walkways are everywhere, so are elevators and escalators, but good point, I didn't see trolleys. Maybe I overlooked them?

No it closes at night between approx 11 pm and 6 am. Yes Doha is quite safe also at night

Hi! From what I have heard and read, luggage is allowed on the Metro, just make sure not to hinder anyone with it and you should be fine.

No to be honest I didn't!

I noticed you threw the metro card away, do they not recycle them? seems a waste. paper tickets, i understand, but anything with electronic data or a chip can and should be recycle. Has that changed since 2019?
Hi Sephora, you're right! In the meantime there is an alternative with an electronic chip which you can reuse.
Thus one will screw up Uber , Illegal Taxi & Karwa Drivers...
Why does it look so deserted?
It had only recently opened, plus with my odd working hours I get to visit places off-peak when it's nice and quiet, which I love!
Took so long that by the time u get to the train .. u would be already at your hotel by taxi.

Zero Mark and better redo it!!!! Poor planning for having metro stations too far from the terminal. I personally loves and respect Qatar, but could the Qatar Rail company take examples of others, such as the Airport Express in HKIA or Frankfurt airport ,
, they locate railway seamlessly to terminal. You can’t serve the foreigners with lot’s of walking , that’s hurt to the city’s reputation. Hardly anyone not considering such design third world.
