You cant make the LEADERSHIP CHARACTERISTIC be worse than 8+ base
But you can penalize the roll plenty
So deathleaper makes Leadership characteristic -1
But the neurotyrant and the new synapse within 6 inch rule during shadow in the warp both stack for -1 each to the ROLL
So thats essentially -3 total
Space marines saving on 9+ roll
Necrons on 10+ roll
And other tyranids on 11+
Reroll is 2cp within 12 of the swarmlord 😅

The feel of the Tyranids feels right, I do agree that they are starting to be scary. For things like nids and Orks, it should be - for those playing against them - a case of fire fighting multiple fires at once. Keep ya on your toes.
Anyone remember back in turn 1 of this match, stern guard get to reroll wound rolls of 1? Just me ok. Pretty sure a handful were missed.

Tyranids are almost there. They just need point cost reductions for the Norns, Hive Tyrants, Tyrannofex, and Carnifexes.
Love the lion but he takes up such a big chunk of points, add terminators in with him and it becomes quite a small force fast… you need some inner circle now that they are good to go beside him and go with either knights or deathwing terms but not both

And if reroll 1 wounds with objective....
10 genestealers kill 5 terminators. They average over 15 wounds
And that doesnt include the broodlord attacks
i've not lost a game with my 'nids yet. I find the psychophage to be really useful, and the broodlord/stealer devestating bomb is worth having two of. tyrannofex, swarmlord, hive tyrants etc are a waste of points, but the maleceptor still works. Sad to see the dimacheron so useless, i refuse to play the assimilator out of bad grapes. And the neurolictor is just too ugly to run. big swarms are bad, as blast is punishing, and deathleaper and leapers are must takes. and the neuro tyrant and zoanthropes were good even before the update. Battleshock was always useful, especially with the synapse detachment - dealing out mortal wounds on a fail is choice
We use drop pods, though. I've heard you can't use them in tournaments, but the ability to drop a big threat on the opponent's turn one movement phase is critical, imo. nothing like the threat of a screamer killer (or a squad of infernus marines) ~somewhere~ in your backline to make those movement choices stressful
Getting the synapse bonus is going to slay.
Unfortunately, the leadership cap is 8, not 9. It says it "can't be 9 or worse".

They forgot that nids get +1 strength in combat while in synaps. Swarm lord would have wounded on 3s.
Agreed - whoever designed the Lictor kit should get a bonus.

You missed the sustained on the sg hvy bolters
Oddly my favorite change was the pivot rule. Ork vehicles are primarily on long oval bases so the awkward model movement positioning has made me to be hesitant to moving max distance unless it was straight. Now we have actual rules clearly outlining how to pivot and the movement loss for doing so.

captain rules is the same ie. cp 0 where did this -1 cp for all cp come from?

Pretty much all captain/hivetyrant abilities across the game have changed to -1 CP
So 1cp ones are free
And 2cp are worth 1
And now doubling anymore

The dude playing DA absolutely butchered this game. DA with ICTF and that list played correctly could have mopped nids 🤦🏻♂️
