The entire reason they do that is for performance reasons bc the second you destroy something it becomes a physically simulated object and with voxels there can be quite the large number which destroys the games performance but modders are crazy and implemented it somewhat well but as expected it can be quite laggy on all hardware.

It’s definitely improved, but I think now the issue is that it’s kind of over corrected. Just needs a sweet balance between the two and it would be perfect.

This is such a huge improvement to the game. I was genuinely surprised it wasn't already in there (as an option, because not all PC's would be able to handle the extra physics lol), clearly it's possible!

This video is deceptive. This isn't a new feature: all the maps he shows are dynamic. They behaved this way before, and there have been dynamic maps since before mods were officially supported.
The video was running at 1FPS as he recorded it. Finally he just sped it up together.
This looks so good, such an improvement on the base game physics, it's similar to Red faction guerrilla, they almost got it right in 2009 for gods sake, having stuff bend and creak, collapsing in on itself when it finally goes is something we need from a big company that can actually optimize it, imagine a battlefield game where the skyscrapers can all fall into one another and by the end the entire map is rubble.
they should have deep basements so when they go down they open the celings up into the basement complex, a hidden underused maintenance hall and machine room becomes a warzone

Its fake slow motion. It morphs between frames to make it look better wich creates the effect shown
Its time interpolation using optical flow. Because of low ingame fps it distorts and has a unintended but nice effect

In August of last year i saw this video and suddenly remembered that this game existed, and after buying it and playing it for 361 hours i can safely say i could have missed out on a really good game if it weren't for your video!

Never played teardown but seen gameplay of it. This is definitely WAY more realistic than anything else I've seen.
Also, W for 1440p UW content. Can go full screen and enjoy not having black bars on the left and right of my UW monitor for once lol

All this mod seems to do to vanilla buildings is that they just break apart in to smaller bits when stuff falls it changes nothing to the way buildings with stand like I was expecting something like the destruction in bf4 metro when u shot the buildings outer walls
buildings don't crumble like this, but this is nice too

Its not possible to run this amount of destruction with more than 10-15 ish frames on any current hardware.

The shotgun taking down a whole apartment building in 2 shots is so ridiculous. I wouldn't be able to play ANY level of the game with this.

For me it feels like some drugs pov because theyre moving the cam around so fast (same thing for me with forza’s race replay, it feels SO unnatural)

Uses a tool that interpolates frames to create frames in between other ones to increase FPS it does cause things to distort tho

Okay I could use some help: I am getting extreme lag with events after explosions, building collapse, or too much fire. Its game breaking lag. Theres no way I can run this mod without lag.
I AM running settings on max, but happens even when I turn settings down.

It’s a physics game, no matter how good ur pc is there’s still gonna be some lag.
If you're wondering why teardown videos are so smooth and look like they have no lag is because they're using the built in screen recorder in the game. It captures every single frame so the video looks smooth although when the screen recorder is on the game will be locked at 30 fps. I have basically the same PC as the guy that made the video and there is no way its actually running that smooth.
Also you can download performance mods from the steam workshop like Dynamic Debris Removal it automatically deletes tiny voxels or debris which improves performance significantly.
My 3080FE can only run it at like 40fps at 4k when I’m not blowing everything up, and when I do I’ll be lucky to get 20 😂 but it’s still fun to watch.

The title is deceptive. All the maps shown here are dynamic, which means they're comprised of already movable sections attached at specific points. Maps like this have existed for the game since before mods were officially supported

He couldn't because these are dynamic maps and they already behaved that way.
How do you get such high frame rate after the explosion? I have almost identical specs to you (16GB of ram not 32GB) and the only thing blowing up is my computer.
the clips are sped up, at least some of them, therefore seemingly increasing the fps
@@Lumynex8335 I woulda thought something like that, but to get it to be consistently slow you'd have to make your fps really low to the point where it won't get lower, or use some slomo mod

Its a side effect from recording the game using the ingame recorder since the gameplay is mostly sub 10-15fps most of the time, so when the recorder compiles the frames it speeds up camera movement alot.
