Great video. Your Yellow Pear Tomatoes look fabulous and I've just looked up Abe Lincoln's Tomatoes and they look and sound flavourful. Please keep us updated with your progress.
@@TonesGardeningVlogs thank you.. thank you very much. Yes the yellow tomatoes give me fruit every day and I'm still waiting for abe Lincoln tomatoes to fruit but the Cherokee Purple Tomato Plants are showing some and waiting for them to ripen 🙏 I will be doing more updates soon my Friend...
@@Godisincontrol325 Riiiight, so you have to manage things not getting scorched. Do you have a water system or are you able to manage it in person? P.S I am very impressed with how often you post. I will be joining you in regular uploads very soon :D Yay!
@@peachfuzz561 I'm so happy for your reply .. It is a lot of work in the heat especially watering by hand. I do want to put in a watering system, that would really help 🙏 Thank you for being so nice and kind to me 😁 I would love to see more of your posts, you're so much fun to watch 🎉
Thanks for the update. I had some issues myself with plants getting sun scorched and I don't live in a hot climate like you. I quickly put up some sun shade using some lace curtains and other stuff I had on hand because they want to much money for shade cloth. You have some harvest coming to enjoy 😋Would you do the same trellis method again?
@@AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu You're very Welcome Friend.. I definitely just want to get a bed sheet and screw it to the fence and tie the other ends to some poles for shade.. You said it best "shade cloth is too expensive". I can't wait to harvest some of these tomatoes, it will be my first with the Cherokee Purple 💜 I do enjoy using the string trellis method and will definitely use it again but I won't be using the trenching method.. Thanks again for replying and for your support 🙏
@@Godisincontrol325 Yes, a sheet would work just fine 🙂I just put in all my tomatoes using the trench method but they were much smaller plants than the ones you put in. Best choice for me using the plants I had.
@@AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu yes very true.. They're more maneuverable when they're younger and the benefit to trenching them is that they get more roots. I just had such a hard time with mine cause the vine was already hard and didn't want to flex the way I wanted and 3 snapped on me.. Lesson learned 😁 Let me know how yours come out 🙏
