This song makes me picture an ending, a departure, a death. As if one is getting ready to leave to the other side, but it is nothing sad about it. It is some glorious departure that is full of rest. Something beautiful; reminds me of mortality.
David Çipriano The title alone creates the picture you've detailed (willingness to travel, and lack of a negative implication). 3:55 Italy and gondolas.
this song still remarks creativeness even nowadays, it's one of those songs which not only you enjoy listening to but only makes you contemplate your inner self facing the ultimately life changes you are stepping into, back in 2012 playing a somehow car game in my Nokia Lumia i stumbled across NERO, and got glued with his music style. at that ttime EDM was at its peak.
Pandora brought me here, I wanted to see if others shared my view of this song being beautiful. It's... I can't explain it. The feelings it makes feel are simply fantastic.
It's so underrated! I feel this is why Nero included it in the album, because they spent their time listening and they made the echoing atmospheric masterpiece that causes you to find yourself lost in your thoughts in the duration. And when it goes suddenly silent... 😍
where do the fucking times go, fr listened to this song and album sooo damn much in my later years of high school, like i would literally gush about this song to my friends lmao. the scenarios i'd make up in my head too, shit just feels so heroic and also bittersweet. a classic i'll take to my grave for sure.
This song takes me on a wicked adventure. To a land that i've never seen before, some kind of fantasy planet. Best song on the album, so powerful, emotional and just mindblowing.
At 2:55 why did I all of a sudden get goosebumps? This is my fave nero song aside to doomsday and my fave EDM song in general and Skrillex is my number 1 artist ever it's such a beautiful song
2:53 always gives me this weird feeling like ive let go of a special moment or something...actually i did down in LA gave up my whole future up and this song is there to remind me.
Looking at the comments, I never really thought of this song as sad before, however I guess I never really did take the name into consideration. I guess it is about an end, yet, whoever said all ends had to be sad?
put on your best bass headphones turn off the lights sit in the absolute dark listening to this song and you will have an amazing time. havent found a song that even gets close to the feel of this one when you actually try to "get into" it. give it a try trust me.
The "did we like it" analogy/symbolism for Sex of the "Binge-watching" of the possible "ad" for "television shows" was a faulty analogy with "did we like it", because "did we like it" implies liking "feeling" and is seperated from the choice of "being with" individual themselves, which, I always believed/concluded to be more "foundational" to the choice of sexing than any feeling of sex.
I was kinda hoping that the ambient intro would be the entire song, with no heavy-hitting beat, because it would a unique way to end the album. Plus, I mean it was beautiful ambiance. But this song still turned out to be an incredible listen. It's powerful sonically and emotionally.
Sounds random, but when I was reading The Sirens of Titan (Kurt Vonnegut) in high school Senior year English, this song went with it PERFECTLY. Combined, you are taken on a space adventure unlike anything you have ever felt before :o
@CheZZi17 i hate to break it to you but 1) I was telling him that no one cares about him because he was hating on a good piece of music and 2) Heaven and Hell don't exist bro, people just made them up cos they're scared of death :)
The most beautiful ending to an album I think I've ever experienced.
When you enter adulthood and realize your childhood is over and this song starts playing as you relive some of your most cherished memories.
still feels the same as when i heard it back in 2012..ultimate epicness
The amount of emotion conjured up is enough to remember for a lifetime
Feels like i'm escaping with my friends from a planet after an epic adventure ! Awesome !
This song makes me picture an ending, a departure, a death. As if one is getting ready to leave to the other side, but it is nothing sad about it. It is some glorious departure that is full of rest. Something beautiful; reminds me of mortality.
Awesome perception.
+1 for this

teach me to interpreted things like you.
David Cipriano honestly this song could go perfectly with the ending of sonic adventure 2
album was so sick. 2024 still going. anyone else?

I rode my bike this morning right before the sun came up while listening to this... it was awesome!!!

It's so underrated! I feel this is why Nero included it in the album, because they spent their time listening and they made the echoing atmospheric masterpiece that causes you to find yourself lost in your thoughts in the duration.
And when it goes suddenly silent... 😍

Cory Nicholas The feels!
just the quote gives me goosebumps

Tune + quote is perfect
One of NERO's most beautiful drops.
This music depressed me for some reason. It hits right in the feels. Don't get me wrong I like it but it makes me sad
kinda nostalgic ngl, like you look back and see everything
But that’s the whole beauty of the album it has the ability to use sound to tap into your emotions and make them churn and twist
It’s that nostalgic feeling. That you can’t understand… almost like you’ve heard this song before..
That is cosmos speaking.Me too
this song gives me for some reason a Final Fantasy or space game feeling.
final fantasy 7
This song takes me on a wicked adventure. To a land that i've never seen before, some kind of fantasy planet. Best song on the album, so powerful, emotional and just mindblowing.
I love Nero so much, hope to see them someday...
It's like saying goodbye to a dying robot.
+Team Flenzil

I legitimately came here because of Opportunity dying :(
The Iron Giant vibes
When I finally direct my first space epic, this will be in the end credits.
It's been ten years, but I knew that when 2:50 hit I would cry. And I did.
Still fucking sublime!
I listened to this song once when I was depressed and on an airplane. The feeling is unexplainable.
I still love this piece.
4 years after hearing this song the first time, and I still get goosebumps everytime I listen.
They create such an epic and sad feeling, it corresponds with my past feelings and gives them sort of a theme. Amazing work!
Totally my favorite song by Nero so far. Favorite part is at 4:20 to the end
Truly an epic and amazing song. Can NOT believe it only has 125k play!
The Departure of 2021
Tears are flowing down my cheeks... ;-;
I believe every song that Nero makes can be in the strongest scene in any movie. That's. What. Brings. Me. Here. Time and time again.
Every time I go to the Citadel in the Mass Effect games.
Thank God, someone finally posted it.
"Do not go gentle into that good night; Old age should burn and rave at close of day. Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
At 2:55 why did I all of a sudden get goosebumps? This is my fave nero song aside to doomsday and my fave EDM song in general and Skrillex is my number 1 artist ever it's such a beautiful song
The life and death and rebirth of a hero. This is perfect for that.

This is still good.
Underrated, the low views don't do the credit this deserves.
Nero is just totally awesome.
This song is what transcendence sounds like.
Holy shit, the drop is just fucking amazing.. you can't expect that.. And.. that's so smooth and sweet..
Its like moving from Earth to Mars... I love it
At about 3 minutes is where the song gets to me.
Much thoughts, such feelings, wow.
Looking at the comments, I never really thought of this song as sad before, however I guess I never really did take the name into consideration. I guess it is about an end, yet, whoever said all ends had to be sad?

At 2:15 there is also another song that uses the same music, does anyone know what song it is?
Second part of the song is EPIC!
Epic song on mushies, Nuff said
Underrated
Beautiful, just beautiful
It's like there's this divine destination that we all long to reach, and we are finally ascending high above the sky to reach it.
That... should be in top comments. Pure inspiration.
It's full of emotions. I love it.
Currently I am writing a short story about this song for my class. :D
Getting mad stoned to this song will fill your mind with infinite possibilities, thoughts, and dreams.
greatest of..!
Beautiful
i dont know why i just love this
Travelling, Rainfall and Departure. Perfect triple..
Been listening to this forever. Dont need a CoD montage to find good music. But welcome all who did.
I remembered this song, but couldn't FUCKING Remember the name. As soon as i saw departure i remembered, and my eyes were opened. Once again.

FaZe amazing and so is Nero, dont hate
as always gives futuristic feelings. Made in Cyberpunk style
When the best first kicks in @ 1:12 it kinda sounds similar to His Majesty King Raam by Lemon Jelly
2:51 best part, this song is really amazing
2:50 Was this sampled in Miss the Rage - Trippie Red also in the Fortnite Lo-Fi Headbang emote?
This feels cosmic
Sounds random, but when I was reading The Sirens of Titan (Kurt Vonnegut) in high school Senior year English, this song went with it PERFECTLY. Combined, you are taken on a space adventure unlike anything you have ever felt before :o
This song needed to be in Interstellar
Forever music)

* Applause * Preach it bro. I had a dream about Mass Effect with Nero's music in the background...and I don't even play Mass Effect. O_O
Masterpiece

Best song in the whole world.
Great drumstep track here, I've been listening to drumstep all night, I think it might be one of my new favourite genres.
This is not drumstep
sounds like entering a whole new world...
@CheZZi17 i hate to break it to you but 1) I was telling him that no one cares about him because he was hating on a good piece of music and 2) Heaven and Hell don't exist bro, people just made them up cos they're scared of death :)
